I have no plans to waste my money and time to watch this movie.
Right?! It didn't help that D.C. was a "flop" back in the day to begin with but to take moronic "creative license" and put a political agenda as the main, freaking focus of the movie (in the guise that it's a fictitious thing... then again, it IS a "fictitious" thing so, go figure what that REALLY means...) and try to brainwash "people's" minds with agenda-driven rhetoric is to kill the thing even before conception. If that makes any sense!? ; )
If anyone who signed the pledge not to, because of AH, does, it makes the pledge worthless.
Thank God we were not the generation that was around in 1776 we would all still be saying god save the king along with the high taxation, over regulation, and government control we already have allowed to take over....👏👏👏🏴☠️

Well, they should have simply stayed with Zack and let him wrap up his vision. WB and their major tampering really destroyed their whole universe they had been wanting to create. I did not like Man of Steel, but I thought BvS was a major step in the right direction. Not perfect, but still pretty good. Justice League could have been a pretty good set of movies, but WB completely turned it into a Joss Whedon comedy, ergo, "marvelized" it. From that point forward, the whole thing was a bust.
The Lost Kingdom must be Disney... and also America...

I enjoyed your review, and I enjoyed the "dad cam" review as well. The two of you don't fully agree, but it makes for a nice contrast in your video. I liked the first Aquaman a lot. My only complaint would be that the finale turned into CGI vomit which I was tired of looking at. Black Manta, though, has always been one of my favorite villains and I thought they did a great job on him in the first movie.
With that said, I do not plan to see this film in theaters simply because I do not go to the movies anymore. As I have gotten older, I just don't enjoy the theater experience anymore. I would like to see the sequel at some point, though, just to see Black Manta as the main bad guy.
I would like to point out that Black Manta does indeed kill baby Arthur in the comic books way back in the late 1970s or early 80s. Ergo, it is very possible that this was filmed for the movie before they retooled it. It was most likely a darker movie in line with the previous DCEU before they got cold feet and needed to "Marvelize" it.
Copying Marvel is NOT the way to go, but WB has no clue what they are doing. Those put in charge after Zack Snyder were redirecting the DCEU into a supposedly better vision but were not given enough time before they were fired. WB is too wishy-washy and have seriously ruined their plans for a big shared universe. I wonder how James Gunn will fare? He was just hired because he was successful with Marvel, so I hope it is not his job to "Marvelize" the DC universe for WB.
As for Amber Herd, she should have been replaced with a new actress. There was simply too much controversy around her and it has hurt the movie, both in quality (by removing as much of her as possible) and box office. They should have just green-screened a new actress into the film. They should have reshot The Flash with a new actor too as I refused to give my time to such an evil person as that pedo weirdo, for me it woyld be for the sake of bluray sales. Michael Keaton returning as Batman was not enough to make me watch a movie with that guy in it (sorry, I cannot remember his name).

The first film was not as dark as the "Snyder verse". It was a more lighthearted adventure, IMO. So, it is good that this one is also not too dark and gritty. Every superhero is not Batman. Just like Batman does not use guns. DC movies struggle so hard with these things.
Next they will have that Thomas dude that swims against women play Aquatrans.

Marvel and DC have had their day. As time goes on, people have started to move away from these weak woke fantasy role models.
Papa chan with the split. Down to earth financial take, but at the time of writing it's 270m after 2 weeks and it needs to make double its production budget to be profitable. It's on track to be break-even. His observations are not wrong, but Laurens may have more weight given the outcome.
Aquaman isn't really cool. Dc needs to focus on different characters.

Saw it with my daughter today, it was mindless entertainment indeed but I liked the acting, the effects were nice and it wasn't too boring. Then again I never saw the first one.

It was a cute movie - people are stupid about movies now a days. Too pretentious about mindless fun.
While I agree with you, there is a fine line to be drawn. Fun does not need to be mibdless. Put some effort into the story so that it makes sense within its own universe. If it is too lazy to do that, then it risks insulting the intelligence of the audience. Be fun and such, but don't throw logic to the wind.
I totally disagree I thought it was pretty good movie. Don't look into the wilderness too much and pick things out that aren't really there great movies totally disagree. I hate socialist Democrats more than anyone on this channel but this is kind of ridiculous I watched it last night and thought it was great. If you want to look into Disney movies and just pick what things that you believe out of a movie you can destroy any movie. Great movie you're going to destroy it and that's all you did.
