Ah better luck next time champ, yes we definitely going to tackle that grounds my hands already getting itching here for a pull and to hear the drag screaming
tks guys for quick response. As I will be travelling from Austria I can´t really take much fishing gear. Are there any tackle shops or should I buy my staff already in South Africa? tks for your help, Kurt
Hi Michael and tks for a great video. I am renting a cottage between Ponta de Ouro and Malongane in March. Is one allowed to fish anywhere from the beach or do we require any permits ? tks Kurt
Hi there Jan, and to all. Yes going through the border to Mozambique was great, we had our paper work in place. Passport PCR covid test Vehicle docs- log book, Vehicle insurance for cross border, 3rd party insurance, if Vehicle is still under finance ,then you will need paperwork from the bank. The Bank and insurance is easy, just call them and mention that you are traveling through the border and from which dates you will be going through and returning, they will email you what you require. Make sure to get all your paperwork commissioned at our local Saps. At the border you will be asked to pay for a permit as well, R200.
Yes definitely, big sinker. Pulled all my top line out till the braid. The longer the grab the faster the pull. Not forgetting what ever it was, almost chowed my sinker. When I hit the sinker, it even sprung out the water, and then I ran back and nearly sprankled my ankle. The local people said that it could have been a vundoo. BiG one. Have a great day further.
Ponta, beautiful beaches. Better luck next time Michael. Awesome video 👌
Thank you Karen, must explore Ponta again. There is great potential. 👍

Hi there Kurt, when I was up there and touring between Ponta de Oura and Malongane , you were only allowed to fish at Malongane.
I did not require a permit at Malongane, just an entry fee to that area.
Tell us about passing the border . Covid etc and fishing license.
I see there was a guarda or policeman standing around , or inspector?
