I just installed that same exhaust on my Z400 and I left the DB killer in. I love the deep sound of it personally. I don't like it too overly loud. But your bike sounds great!

This is the cleanest video I’ve seen so far 💯🙌🏽… I’ve seen like 10 maybe on this slide on exhaust 😎 ima watch this as soon as it gets here .. thanks big dawg 🙏
I actually like the sound of it... not bad price also! sounds good either way with dB killer both installed and uninstalled just a question however... is it lighter than the stock exhaust?
Thank you for the video. I just actually picked it up blind because it was kind of cheap then found your video. Was stoked it was the same setup. So its 89 bucks now, times must be hard, and doesn't have a second set of springs but everything else is the same. I see some folks mention exhaust bleed from having loose springs, how can I tell? Got a z400, installed it today, took a spin and seems fine so far.
If the exhaust is leaking. You'll usually see coming out around the leaking area. Another way to do it is use like a feather or a lightweight piece of paper and put the bike in a room like in a garage where there's no air start it for a split second and hold the paper next to the seals where the exhaust clamps together and see if the paper gets moved around. Just remember to be safe in a closed area with your bike running as exhaust fumes can be dangerous.
@BLRTUNING Good deal, easy enough. 👍 Appreciate the quick reply and look forward to going through your other vids. And definitely with closed spaces and fumes, always gotta be careful.
We do have some parts available for the z400 as well as the Dynojet PC6 which then we can do a custom tune. You can take a look at our z400 section on our website. We have a tail delete, radiator grill, rear peg delete, we have a few parts available as well as the PC6 tuner with a custom tune. You can click on this link and it will take you to our z400 section. www.blrtuning.co/collections/kawasaki-z400-er400
great video ,very nicely done , sounds awesome very well explained , i got one done yesterday on my bike in hazelldell wa , hope to see you one the road thanks brother i like the radiator guard
Yes perhaps maybe we will meet up one day. The z400 in this video has a full acropovic exhaust with the titanium headers and carbon fiber slip-on. It's a fully built bike now and it's for sale here in Vancouver Washington
This cheaper Amazon exhaust is actually pretty loud it's not so loud that it's unbearable but at idle or around 4,000 RPM it is louder than the exhaust that I now have on the bike which is the full akrapovic
Mine did not have any leaking issue but I suppose the only way to fix it would be to put shorter springs on it maybe or have someone well new tabs for the springs to hang on to
Ok so on the baffle the cap that is in it at the end of can that cap b moved up the baffle some or would it b too much pressure if its moved up the baffle
The slip-on filter know you can do that without tuning.... It's when you start messing with the headers and the leading the cat and messing with anything to do with the airbox like a high-flow filter or air box modification or velocity stacks those types of things require tuning and most likely the bike will not run great without tuning when you add modifications like that.... I do offer custom tuning work but you would need power Commander 5 installed in order for me to do a tune via email.... You can always message me through the blr tuning Facebook page if you have any questions. I am more than happy to help... m.facebook.com/BLRTUNING/
You can get away with just doing a slip-on but when you get rid of the cat or do the headers or modify the airbox or add a high flow filter it has to be tuned. We do offer custom tuning you can reach out to us through our website. www.blrtuning.co If you look in the description below the RUclips video you'll see all kinds of ways to contact me also.
On the rear mud gaurd there is a black small clip in the center that clips into the swing arm, a push clip, and several other holes in the swing arm about 4 or 5 of them from the welding process, if you don't remove that little push clip and seal those little holes with some jb-weld when you ride in the rain those little holes will develop rust and your swing arm will fill with water rusting the inside of your swing arm,,,,,, that little push clip isn't needed anyway and the upgrade doesn't even have a hole for it.😮
No I wouldn't think so. The LV10 was built on a dyno and designed to make horsepower and torque. This cheap exhaust on Amazon was probably designed in somebody's backyard that had no dyno or no nothing. They probably just found out that it fit that bike and said it's for that bike. I would not recommend this exhaust. Unless you're on a really tight budget and it's the only route that you could go. It's loud obnoxious it's not going to add power. Power comes from tuning things correctly for the parts. You would get more power out of tuning a stockbike.
I didn't have any problems with it but I have had other people have problems with it. So I guess it just depends on how good the quality is of the one that you got specifically. I've heard of people melting them, I've heard of them falling apart, I've heard of the packing blowing out the back, I've also had customers that we've done it install for that now have 10,000 miles on the bike and have had zero issues. So with that being said just understand you're getting a $65 exhaust. Expect to get what you pay for. If it lasts for 10,000 miles awesome. If it lasts for 500 miles well I guess luckily you only paid $65. What I can tell you is the $1,200 exhaust that's on the bike now has never had a single issue. However it was also $1,200 so keep that in mind. Personally if you just going to do a slip-on I would say $65 is a great price even if you have to buy a second one later on down the road
Yes indeed they will.. at the end of the day you have to remember cops are just normal people doing their job. They like loud motorcycles and bikes that spit flames as well...
I do detailed installation and review videos. So if you click on any of my other videos expect to be watching for quite a while. Thanks for stopping by my RUclips channel please don't forget to subscribe it helps out tremendously.

👍
These bikes have no business sounding this mean once you throw an exhaust on there! Super impressive
I just installed that same exhaust on my Z400 and I left the DB killer in. I love the deep sound of it personally. I don't like it too overly loud. But your bike sounds great!
is a fender delete necessary for this exhaust?
No
I have the same bike and I watch your videos often. Thanks man!

wow. that exhaust fully changed the sound! well done!
Z400 looks like such a fun bike. I may just go get one
We offer tuning work for it and we have parts for it you can check them all out at our website... www.blrtuning.co
Sounds sooooo much better.
Thought it sounds better with the db killer in, seemed more bass somehow though both infinitely better sounding than stock.
Fantastic. I will put on in my 220cc. Bajaj Pulsar Neon. Saludos from CDMX man.
Excelente video. Muy detallada la instalación. Saludos desde Colombia!
Very good comprehensive conparison
I actually like the sound of it...

It rips hard love it

Thanks man for all this info, look amazing🤩🤩
Thanks for stopping by the channel and taking the time to hit the subscribe button it is greatly appreciated.
Is it still possible to buy such exhaust in 2024 ? Also, in France ?
You would have to look on Amazon

Holly cow I love the video and how you explain everything. However I’m stuck on getting the spring on 🙈
A good spring puller will do the trick...
I have a job that requires me to leave my house at 5am. Will the sound difference between the stock and this wake up my neighbors.
This cheaper Amazon exhaust is actually pretty loud it's not so loud that it's unbearable but at idle or around 4,000 RPM it is louder than the exhaust that I now have on the bike which is the full akrapovic
Any leaks ? Put mine on and leaks from springs not having enough tension. Any easy fix to this?

Ok so on the baffle the cap that is in it at the end of can that cap b moved up the baffle some or would it b too much pressure if its moved up the baffle
It's not adjustable from my knowledge
I have a Z400 and I love these bikes, but they sound like a loose fart with any exhaust that isn't stock. Just how I feel about small parallel twins.
Hey man have the same bike. Do I need a tune if putting slip on exhaust and k & n filter in? will it cause any issues without a tune, cheers

Excellent video! Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by my RUclips channel
Your new exhaust looks really good on your Z400!
@@coreywarren5143 it's now running a akrapovic full exhaust... Shoot flames as it goes through each gear,... There's a video of that on my channel...
Al final del video. Con la camara on board from the top. No esta demasiado cerca de la llanta? No afecta eso?
NO
Lock tight 🔒 yup 💯💯💯 autozone has it.. make sure you get the blue one
How is the exhaust after a year ? Any discoloration?
No issue
Can we just put these exhausts on motorbike without any modifications?

Ok
Nice bike bro
Thanks
Felt a slight hp decrease w/out the db killer. Love the deep tones now.
Can this exhaust compete w the Leo Vince lv10?
No I wouldn't think so. The LV10 was built on a dyno and designed to make horsepower and torque. This cheap exhaust on Amazon was probably designed in somebody's backyard that had no dyno or no nothing. They probably just found out that it fit that bike and said it's for that bike. Thank you I just don’t like the stock. Want something that sounds like it could be a 4 cylinder to the ear and not like a dirt bike on the road.
will this work on a 2023 ninja z400?
Yes
Where you get the new panel colors
The new color came out in 2021 this is a brand new 2021 Kawasaki Z400 abs so those are the stock factory colors for it...
@@BLRTUNING ok I see threw me off seeing the bike with different colors before and after the exhaust install
do these exhaust fall apart after a few hundred miles though?...i mean...65 bucks!

The pipe looks very close to the back tyre..
Close indeed but it is not touching
Is anyone here selling their stock exhaust can and heat shield?
Yes I have all those parts. Please look in the description below this video and shoot me an email I'm sure we can work something out.
i got one for sale too
Cops will love this
Yes indeed they will.. at the end of the day you have to remember cops are just normal people doing their job. They like loud motorcycles and bikes that spit flames as well...
Over 30 mins for this 🤦♂️

isnt it too much inclined/looking at the license plate holder? Might melt it no?
No it's fine
