And check that your monitor has built-in speakers or it'll need to have an earphone jack to connect with the audio equipment in order to play.
Please make sure you follow the steps in the following link.

Also, could you provide your product model and OS version? Thank you.
In addition to above steps , users should follow below steps..

Hi
VARADHARAJAN K,
Steps1, 2,3 are in our video instructions. Thank you for step4 sharing.
daaaamn you just got roasted by the support team, me personally i would’ve tracked them down
Don't spend $6 trying to get this to work. I plugged in the HDMI and got ONN surf speakers plug and play and worked perfectly smh - I still have to buy a MIC if I want to record but that is ok.
even though i use benq monitor but this is helpful thanks for tutorial
I don't know weather this was helpful but I fixed my sound problem by going into settings and changing the output from Digital Audio HDMI to Realtec Audio Speakers, and now I have sound
My monitor model is VG24VQE. I've tried everything mentioned in the video and still no audio. I have a display port cable and aux cable plugged into my monitor and I have even tried with a HDMI cable, however still no audio. According to the specification my monitor also has built in speakers. Anything else I could try?
Hi, according to your question, for VG24VQE, it did not come with a built-in speaker.
You can refer to the following product specification. Thank you.

Hi Rafif Abrar,
May I have the model name? Do you use HDMI, DP or lime in output? Have you tried connecting to other pc?
@@asus_support The model is VG259QM, i use DP port for it. Until now I'm not trying it to other pc yet.
But there's a new case: After several hours I put the sound output with headphones, I decide to try change in to monitor's speaker again. When I try to play video/music, the sounds appeared yet it just only for about 2secs and didn't make sounds again.
Hi Rafif Abrar,
It might also be cable and connecting device related. If you don't have other cables or pc, please send the monitor to our local service center for further examination. Please visit our official website for contact info of our local service center.

You can refer to the user manual.

Hi. I have an ASUS MG28UQ monitor (connected to my Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card with an HDMI cable) and each time I log in Windows 11 there is no sound (the speaker icon in the taskbar systray shows that "No audio output device is installed").
To get sound, I always have to log off my Windows session and log in again. Once this is done, the sound is enabled, and if I go to the speaker icon (in the systray) and click on 'Select Audio Output', I can see "ASUS MG28U (NVIDIA High Definition Audio)".
On the Device Manager window, under "Sound, video and game controllers", I can see "NVIDIA High Definition Audio", "NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)" and Realtek(R) Audio, all shown correctly (without any warning icon next to them).
How can I have sound right away after logging in my Windows session?

So the model I have is VP28UQG and I have the NVIDIA 1070 Ti.. the system is reading and saying that everything is working properly, however I still cannot hear audio even with headphones. Just recently learned that the model I have doesn’t come with built in speakers.. what other option do I have?
Hi
Rufix Legacy Productions,
Please plug the headphones into the audio output of your pc.
@@asus_support and if I still can’t hear anything?
Hi
Rufix Legacy Productions,
Please try other headphones or speakers, or try other audio ports(rear panel/front panel) on the pc.
Hi I have the ASUS VG278Q and connected it to series X. When I change it to 120Hz on Xbox, the audio stops working but when I revert it to auto detect mode on Xbox, it starts working again. Can you help please?
Hi
indiemaniac,
I'm afraid VG278Q is not in our 120Hz on Xbox Series X support list.

Also, the audio seems controlled by Xbox. Please consult Xbox to see if there is any settings about audio output.
I just have been using 2weeks f15 laptop. Sometimes, screen shaking happened. How can I solve? I never dopped it or given any physical hit to my laptop. Do you think I can replace to new one?
Hi Hyerim Kim,
If you want to get a replacement directly, please consult the dealer about it. May I have the bios version? Did it occur on the specific apps?
I can't hear sound from right channel using left & right channel sound test, my monitor is ASUS VG258Q 1080p 144Hz. I've tried using HDMI, Display port also tried aux cable that came within the box but I can't hear from right channel. If I switch from stereo to mono then I assume I can hear but I'm not quite sure that the audio is coming from right channel or its just mono sound that make me feel that way.
Hi, have you check whether you are connecting with the correct input/ output ports with your PC and audio device?
Did you try the steps according to the video or the FAQ at the description box?
It is suggest that you go to Device Manager in Control Panel, uninstall and install the device again and check whether the audio input and output are recognized by the audio device.
Also, could you provide your BIOS and audio driver version?

Besides confirming HDMI and Display Port, have you checked the Sound Settings or reinstalled the WHQL driver?
Could you please provide the model name (for example, ROG Strix XG276Q) and details of the situation of the Asus device you are using?
Been 5 years since I got my Asus ROG PG248Q and I always used Headphones, now I found out why sound on the monitor's speakers never worked, the monitor speakers were damaged from factory :(
Hi, Nomad.
Could you please provide the details of the situation? May I ask if you followed the instructions in the video?
@@asus_support I did, nothing worked. I've had this problem for years but never really bothered because I always used headphones so I just thought I'm a dumbass and can't figure this out. Well apparently the speakers were damaged from factory, mildly annoying but I mostly use headphones like I said. I'm honestly more frustrated with myself that I never considered a factory issue being a thing in this situation :(
