    I just discovered your channel and really enjoy it. I started playing again three years ago, after a 42 year hiatus. I had to laugh when your charting made me realize that one of my favorite teenage songs, Walk Don't Run's lead was taken directly from the A Aolian scale. thanks for the laughter, pretty music, and good teaching technique.

    Doesn’t sound very Phrygian. It seems to have more of an F Lydian tonality. Probably because it starts with F major rather than E minor.

    • @chusssMusic

      You could start with some Lydian phrasing of course, but you will have to resolve back to C major/A minor or to relative E Phrygian. There is no rule to this as long as music sounds good to your ears. Here is a demo solo for a newer version of this jam track which shows mixing of Aeolian/Phrygian modes ruclips.net/video/KoL4zBDMwMU/видео.html

      F lydian sensation. like birds sound, phrygian is more dark.

    I like the way you explain things. I'm so used to playing by ear only. This helps me wrap my head around it and expand my technique. Thanks!

    using e phrygian or A aeolian is the same ? they got the same notes how does it change they way you play ?

    • @chusssMusic
      @chusssMusic  7 лет назад +3

      You are right same notes, but different tonic center, from E to E, this makes all the difference

    Beautiful backing track. Ofc Like & Sub! :) I am a complete beginner and self-taught "guitarist", but I will download this backtrack and I will try to improvise to your music. If you are interested, once I have recorded this piece, I can let you know about the result of my modest improvisation here on the forum under this video. Regards from Poland :)
    P.S.: When my impro is ready, I will support you financially as you asked for.
