The stuff that you're required to know to obtain citizenship is UNREAL!! Literally, most Americans don't even know half the stuff that is required knowledge for immigrants to become a citizen. My great grandfather immigrated from the Isle Of Man, in the Red sea, as a child. He didn't get his citizenship until he was 97 years old, he passed away not long after becoming a citizen. This was more than 50 years ago. My mom and one of her sisters fought to get him his citizenship. I don't recall why it had taken so long for him to obtain. Love your videos Layze❤

Yeah, as an American, I know I wouldn't be able to answer all those questions that immigrants are required to know. It seems totally unfair how it can take years and decades to become a citizen and to jump through SOOOO many hoops. If it was easier, I'm sure we would have less undocumented people in the US. It would make things better for everyone, in my opinion. I wonder if it's this hard to become a citizen in other countries.
Thank you for saying this because everyone thinks that immigration is an easy feat and make jokes about green cards and citizenships like it isn't one of the hardest processes. It is time consuming and stressing. And the system is set in that way because they want to continue draining immigrants of their labor and their taxes.

Hey Layze! Just wanted to share that I’m the daughter of immigrants so I completely understand how hard it must have been for you to become a citizen! My parents had to wait until I turned 21 so that they could finally start the process and become residents. They will be eligible for citizenship in 2 years! I totally believe it! I just don't understand why it's so hard for people to become citizens, it just doesn't seem fair. Immigrants are supposed to know many facts that most Americans who are born here don't know. I'm one of them and I'd fail big time if I had to take those tests. If it was easier to become a citizen, we would have less undocumented people here. I've always wondered if it's this hard to become a citizen in other countries.
