I feel for the camera crew. Imagine being out there essentially just in the way hoping nothing goes wrong
Well and im sure alot of them want to help but cant because of a contract saying they need to keep filming and not interfere with their job
@kyle bernard how can that be scripted lol.
@kyle bernard ........😂🤣😂🤦♂️ whatever ya reckon dude
@kyle bernard yeah one time I wrote into a script for a giant wave to hit... 🙄
@kyle bernard this isn’t the fucking WWE. Deadliest Catch is called real life
I like that he did not yell at him or anything just fatherly told him "be smarter next time and just let it go "
he literally refused to listen and told him to go back in and get hit again,he had zero visibility there and the guy tells him iit's swinging and hitting "i don't want anyone else's opinion just do it like i said to" t would've cracked his head open like a coconut had he not said no
@@Aaron-zu3xn exactly what I was thinking. He said to do it exactly how he said and dude got hurt doing it. The audacity to tell him to be smarter and not put himself in that situation is just waiving personal responsibility.
@@pcpguy1258 He should've ducked down, he saw it coming. The captain NEVER told him to put his head exactly in the path of the pot. Doesn't matter where you go, or what you do, you should keep using your brain (not like the guy in the clip though).
"You only have one brain Taylor"... greatest line at the end of a video ever.
The only thing giving the captain visibility is the blow dryer he's holding to the window to keep away condensation
no shit the guy was telling him he couldn't go there cus of it and he's telling him to,if he had visibility he'd see why the guy didn't wanna go over there and get his head smashed in again
"Our prayers got answered, but our nightmares are coming true"
Unironically a great line
0:29 the skill on this guy lol
@goran stojanovic logic isn't your strong suit, is it?
@goran stojanovic That isn't something that happens?
@goran stojanovic are you dumb for real?
Skill as in the paddle bounced out one bucket and into the other one? Hell ya that's skill. He meant to do that.
@goran stojanovic lol that cage weighs over 300kg, it swings cause the ship is moving on the waves, not cause a guy pushed it.
Am I the only one who would be fkn terrified to be on a fkn boat in the middle of the ocean while it's half frozen in the middle of a storm?
No
Don’t forget the slippery wet deck that’s spelling trouble
Nut up, puss. It’s a real mans job.
Slipping overboard and knowing that it's just an abyss underneath you and no land for hundreds of miles.
yep hahaha I love rough weather...never do you ever feel more alive as in full forces of the nature
My God my heart was in my throat I thought that pot was gonna go straight through the wheel house window and that crew member was brave as hell for being right there while that dam thing was swinging hard .I could never never do what these guys do not even for any money I value my life to much .I give all these guys on deadliest catch my total respect and hat off they bust there butts in harsh minus -40 degree weather they get soaked from the waves they have to deal with working over 40 hour shifts to make there quota they have to deal with danger everytime they go out on deck and deal with the ice on the deck these guys are your true true American workers they bust there butts and take there lives in there hands just so we have sea food but nobody thinks about that when there sitting in red lobster or a seafood restaurant or a fancy ritzy 5 star restaurant . THANK YOU DEADLIEST CATCH for all you guys do 👍👍👍you put your lives on the line so we have seafood
Ok i get the the hurricane is bad but lets admire the trickshot with the shovel at 0:30
Josh boosts everyone's morale on the boat and behind the screen
@@BonnyPrinceBilliam whys that?
@@itzzkrypt He r aped a girl when he was 16 so they booted him off, also Edgar’s no longer in the show because he got arrested for fiddling a minor
"I can't run anywhere!"
*Runs across the deck*
This is always a good reminder of how fucking easy life is for people in the city
Note to RUclips. I'll watch 5 seconds of your ads ,not 15 . I'm changing videos.
RUclips is a greedy piece of shit

I swore I was the only one who did that 😂😂😂
I remember when RUclips never used to have ads. What the fuck happened to those days!?
ugh what a tough job, freezing, cold, hungry, numb hands, wet, frozen and getting your head smashed in by a cage...guys are made of tough stuff right here.
0:29 Dude Perfect
The kid was very lucky. I know someone who died from this kind of accident on an oil rig.
I got a buddy who got hit in the head by an excavator bucket. Very lucky he didn’t get fucked up. He tells me that spot gets really cold sometimes even 4 years later.
Title: "Crew member takes massive blow to the head."
Actual video: "Taylor Jensen takes a glancing blow to the head."
It’s three hundred pounds a glance is a massive blow
dude i had a piece of plastic conduit dropped on my head from a one story house and it cut my head open and hurt like fuck, I can only imagine a glancing blow from one of them with all that force.
@@bradenr867 600-800 lbs actually. They normally just say 750 on the show. So yeah 750 lbs swinging wildly glancing your head is still a bad day. They are not joking when they say it can pop your head like a pimple.
my highest respect boys!
Lucky it hit him in the head , he could have been injured......
Well since he got hit in the head he did get injured.
@@leninbugout4420 No it's not.
@@mattmax11 where did he get hit in the head
@@amethyst_witch_blades did you not watch the video to the end
I wouldn't call being hit in the head lucky, I'd say it missing him would have been lucky lol
When you fish the same grounds, commercially, year after year;
Of course it’s going to turn into yearlings 😂😂😂
Are these the same episodes as the US just with a different narrator?
I was like....Josh...he's gonna go down there and help...just the kind of dude he is....and...1:27 in...hes going lol
Hell yeah Josh! Way to be a leader!
His head got pinched between the boat and container. Captain- Is it bad? And that's the captain.lolololol. Could have brain bleeding and 100% concussion and tells him he's alright and go put some ice on it.
David Stutz School nurses when you break your leg be like
To be fair there isn't much they can do for him at the moment anyway. Fastest way out of there would be a Coast Guard helicopter. They should have someone keep an eye on him though just in case, even if it's a member of the film crew.
@@robertlamberth6586 I'm guessing the helicopter is a no go if the weather is shit.
@@armchairgeneralissimo And I'm guessing a hurricane would classify the weather as shit.
@@robertlamberth6586 He is a normal deckhand not film crew but yeah they can't even call for a Coast Guard copter in a storm like that. I also think they did end up sending one of the crew to watch him (Good thing about film crew they have extra eyes to put on things)
Agreed, I’m with you on the camera crew. Dangerous job as well😬😞🙏
Took it like an absolute champ.
lol he is in green jacket when they looking at his head but in red/orange when they show what happened ahahahahaha
huh? at no point is he in red/orange.
At 3:20 you see Taylor go around the side of the ship in his green outfit. He gets hit off screen.
"Moar wark 4 a weery croo"
Good captain good crew.
I'm surprised Casey and Josh didn't hurt the producer in the wheelhouse.
That kid is one tough cookie!
It's like these guys are on the front line.. Risking their lives... To catch a few crabs...
This show stresses me out!
Same lol looks extremely stressful!!! Wouldn’t wanna be there
This and oil rigging look like fun jobs but I wouldn't do it because they are also the most dangerous jobs a man can do
Do they look like fun jobs? Last time i checked these guys do it for the fat paycheck
Did oil rigging for 5 years I’d say they both have dangerous points but this job seems more common for accidents
We (commercial fisherman in general) are very prone to injury, loss of body parts and death are almost an every day thing
Lol it's like a pissing match. Bet your both 20 yr old working at dollar general
@@justinmcmanus2772 There are no dollar generals (whatever they are) in rural Nova Scotia. Just fishing. It's in the blood. It's all we know. I know there's more of the North Atlantic in my veins than blood. I don't need your stamp of approval to know how my family is fed lol
5:24 Does this guy not take responsibility for ANYTHING?! 🤨🤷♂️ He’s the captain. 🤦♂️
Boy still ain't been the same since tell yeah what 🤣
legit using a hair dryer for defrost lmfao
For the best view to see
Pass go onto 5:33
This is beyond scary and dangerous!
Narrator: glancing blow
For YT views: massive blow
Nothing like those North Pacific "Hurricanes"
0:32 - Why are they using plastic shovels?
Why would you be running in this weather
who knew getting crab was this hard...
Captain blames everyone for everything lol
Meanwhile on lower decks 😂😂🍞
Did I just see a neon yellowgreen plastic shovel fall from out of nowhere.
Jaws 4321 timestamp? This sounds interesting 🧐 😂
Hey why dont they put bars out on the deck so they can grab onto more stuff?.
As much as I am in awe of these people I unfortunately can't bring myself to like crab. Seeing what they go through I wish I did.
"You only get one brain"
If only that applied to all people 😂
how is Tay today? I got really worried...I just saw this today ...if he sleeps...it could...he could...have...damn it he could die in his sleep...is the boy ok???
Who’s the English guy narrator why is he talking where’s Mike Rowe?
Casey: I don’t want anyone else’s opinions do it exactly as I tell ya
Casey strikes me as the kind of arrogant ass you meet in a bar that at some point, you just may come to blows with....lots of mouth, not much filter.
i read a story about king crab fishing on readers digest maybe 20 years ago
Hurricane? Come on Discovery you're better than that.
That, "I dont care what anybody else says, listen to me" really pissed me off. That was not the time to be the captain that was the time to advise that safety is the priority over the equipment and the senior guy on the deck take charge. With the visibility that the captain had of the situation he might as well have been on the dock giving orders over a radio.
I like conten 👍👍
Lesson learned there.
I feel as though hard hats should be a necessity?
What i see is a lot of accidents are happening is that the men are running that causes then to injure themselves walk instead of run saves their ankles.
Christ that looks incredibly hard
get these boys some metal cleats
I'm glad I never had to do this.
What happened to Mike Rowe?
This is the UK version. Mike is still doing the USA narration.
"just walk it off"
Why don't they have ice cleats so they won't have to worry about falling
Helmets?
He got so lucky
How do you tell someone else too do something, then when they get hurt, say you can't put yourself in that situation??
Lots of ice on that ship
Ok, I’ve been watching this show for years, Taylor has been hit in the head 3 times plus other injuries. He’s the most unlucky injury prone guy on the show. How the hell does he not wear a helmet? How are non of these guys and girls not wearing helmets?
I wonder why the crew members dont wear spikes under their shoes or shoes with spikes attached to them!? Normal precaution in really slippery conditions here if you dont want to end up in hospital or worse...
Spikes won't grip on a wet metal surface only on solid ice surfaces
@@skrrrrrt294 But I was under the assumption that the water on the decks freezes over and then theres a thin surface of water on top of that.
@@Sc0pee yeah but not thick enough for spikes to be effective.
@@Sc0pee if there’s ice thick enough for shoe spikes to grip, something is very very wrong
@@tyler_bt3326 hmm, the ice spikes + non slippery surface help even on thin layer of ice though. Better than no spikes at all, at least.
Mantep lur. Video ku juga ada Lo kepiting dan rajungan

I'd really like to try this job. I know I could do the work no problem just the long hours without sleep would get to me. But the major problem is I live on the east coast of Maryland so that would be one hell of a commute to work
You do any commercial fishing outta Maryland?
Not sure but I think you're out there for months at a time. So at least it would only be a commute you do a couple times a year. Good luck if you do end up doing it!
is that hurts ?
No, it definitely are not hurt
Yes
Why can't the use traps to secure to the boat to stop them going over board
Where are they gonna find ice ...for his head...?🥴
Captain should have told him not to go to sleep
*whatever you do stay the fuck away from it*
*men standing right below and near it.*
That's a terrible captain who says he dosent want any other opinions
I feel sorry for the crabs - their first and last hurricane...
Where is Mike Rowe??
This is the UK version. Mike is still doing the USA narration.
Seems like it didint even touch him he just wanted the night off lmao. That thing swinging would have had him gushing blood
I think it hit the wall and so it had no momentum but it turned and hit is head. I think he was more scared than anything. Imagine the fear of seeing that thing swinging directly for your head.
THE MOST DANGEROUS JOB IN THE WORLD.
Bloody hell is be sick in thise waves!
Bone apple tea
You get used to it after a while.
Why not they wear hard hats ?
Hard hats are great for deflecting small falling things, less so for large heavy objects that move sideways. Hard hats in general would just slow them down and get in the way.
@@mavoc3094 Yeah no hard hat on earth is going to protect you from something that weighs as much as a small car swinging in the wind. Like Josh said "those pots can pop your head like a pimple"... Lol... Little bit of his old man coming out there.
if there were crabs in that cage they would get a free roller coaster ride
I never understood why they don't wear helmets ..
No shit! That just seems like a no brainer....more like a sore brainer....doohhhh!
Why tf don't these guys wear hardhats?
I never knew Larry The Cable Guy was their captain!
Guys, when you hit your head immediately go to the hospital,a concussion can effect your life badly if you don't do anything about it
So what exatly is there job
Its wet cold and I would be tired NO THANKS
Why don't they wear hardhats?
You ever worn s hard hat?
@@austinnipper6460 I have not, but I certainly would wear protective gear if my workplace was this dangerous.
@@kokillio First off, they're almost impossible to keep on in the best of conditions, the inside would stay soaked, keep you cold and the crab pots would most likely smash them to bits unless they tapped you and most things coming at you are not from above in this situation. Not to mention most of us hate them when we're well rested and having a good day. Try bring 3 days no sleep, soaked, dozen, hungry and the smallest things piss you off.
This is too deadly to be nodding off on pain pills capt
Just show's the captains don't care about the crew just there quota. You just told him to get ahold of the pot then you act like its all his fault.
Rather take a shot to the head and get a fat paycheck “now that’s using your head”
Don’t put your guys in that situation.
The hell with that job..
Kevin Knight the pay is probably amazing
Back in the day, they would cut a hole in ur skull ,stuff mud and leaves in the hole, and hoped for the best.No suprise everyone that had that procedure died.
