Topic: over 60 but not too bad off, just a few accumulated injury/changes routine work out with a general encouragement timeline, set to a reasonable pace, ie a demonstration 20 minutes or a bit less someone can put on to watch and hear whilst mirroring the sets. Target loosening hammys, calves, feet & ankles with stretch bands & ankle board, neat and tidy routine that can be done x 2 a day. Will put to the top of my playlist 🤩

Less is for the most part the best solution! Having said that: the "edit-skill" is waaaay off. Therefor, the Video is toooooo busy & overcrowded/over-packed w/ a lot of images. The massage itself though is good & informative!

@@Laura-hk4th check out Jason Fung for a well rounded info pack source for healing the whole body. In brief, he helps people train into intermittent fasting then total fasting. Why this? A great deal of pain and tissue injury is caused by eating several times a day for weeks on end. We are designed to have good food with only two or thee intakes a day, maximum and surprise surprise, by not eating for 2 or 3 days at a time (I'm still working up to this) our body internally scrubs off all the excess and damaged tissues. As healthy eating resumes (natural veg, moderate meats, natural fats zero sugar zero flour, processed carbs etc skipping milk except a bit or enjoy some cheese, you get the idea) 2 to 3 meals - stop around evening, just water or black coffee, tea etc til after noon so more than 12 hours a day no food.... this stimulates growth hormone - new tissues replace the bad, healing is another word and it's FREE

I fractured my right ankle back in September of 2019. I use to walk all the time and I really didn't do much to help it other than stay off it and found a job to help stay off it. I just started working for the post office and my feet were doing good until I decided to wear an ankle brace that was too tight just in case to protect it. That brought top of the foot pain to both feet. This video is helping me get through this pain and making me realize how much more I need to strech EVERYDAY!!! Thank you.

3:35 - this may have been my case yesterday when playing basketball on soft bottomed shoes w/o orthotic support, plus first time added a front foot pad of soft gel of a few mm thick. With my somewhat flat foot plus these factors, I had a number of jumps first time after a long time. Hours later I felt pains in the cuboid or/and cuneiform joint area. The jamming between these bones and the corresponding metatarsals as a result of all these factors combined, exactly like that said here, may be the cause of the pain. But not sure yet. To be updated...
Thanks Dr. for posting this valuable comprehensive top foot pain video.

There is pain running from the nerve you described on the top of the foot. This happened tonight. Still a little bit scared as it is hard to walk. At least I understand it a littler better.

I tried everything - colchine, allopurinol...Tart cherry and celery seed extract (nutritionist here said you'd have to drink too much juice - too much sugar), tons of water, gymnema, apple cider vinegar, baking soda, on and on. Nothing seems to help. I'm freaking out!

Thank you so much for helping lay people understand a)That which sometimes neurologists don’t even understand or can’t explain and b) using visual aids to further demonstrate what could be going on in the bodies of people suffering from peripheral neuropathy or other neuropathies. It’s also great that you’ve added some valuable exercises as well as given your insights on when or when not to add medication to the treatment process and when and when not to add supplements to the treatment process. I realize that you are not giving definitive answers about that but just a general overview on what studies suggest. Thank you for your interest in educating the public in more about how anatomy works and what remedies best support people with this or similar diagnosis.

I’m going to try these stretches and icing to relieve my top of the foot pain. I can see that my sore left foot doesn’t flex up as easily as my right foot. Also insert some good orthodontics in my gym shoes. Thanks for the advice.

Hi , I've had top of foot pain for three years. My last year of work (floor nurse) retired ,I wore shoes with no support but knew retirement was soon so I wasn't concerned. Two and a half years later and the top of both feet , (right being worse) are red , have developed a hump and can't walk well due to severe pain. I did go to a foot specialist she said my feet were flat. She also had no idea what might be causing the pain.
I will watch your video again to learn the stretches and try ice in a bottle to roll for stretching.
I also had two knee replacements five years ago.
I feel orthotics will help and bought drugstore ones.
But if you have a video talking about orthotics and the best ones to buy. That would help.
Should I have them made. If not , what kind.
I will check your videos to see if there's more info on orthotics.
    Thank you.

The scary part about medicine is that most doctors out there are never really positive about their diagnosis and in the main scheme of it all is they are, "practicing medicine". As a kid I always thought doctors 100 percent without doubt knew what was causing the problem and they were confident they knew how to solve the issue. Through out my life and suffering from several injuries/surgeries I have come to conclusion that just because someone has Dr. before their name doesn't mean they can always be trusted along with having the correct answer. Of course I learned the hard way when I went to the doctor for a foot injury and the doctors answer was take this, "pill". The doctor even informed me the medication he prescribed had no side effects along with a zero chance of developing a dependency. That pill he prescribed me was OxyContin which is known to possess one of the most addictive substances in the world. This particular person in this video seems to be very educated and even seems to be one of the few doctors I would actually trust. Actually showing ways on how to handle the issue with natural means such as stretching. He even explains why and how it potentially occurred so it can be avoided in the future instead of simply saying take this pill.....

the american medical field s another US flaw. they milk ignorant patients. MOST doctors dont know shit, unless they run dianostic tests., and still adter twst, they dont nail most physical problems, but the systen is desinged that way ,it s no accident.
think of mechanic shops. Most lawyers will not show you anylove unless they smell the money.
the workers getting ripped off by society ironically are farmworkers, they feed us everyday and they r still underlypaid , i d say too underlypaid.

Excellent information, thank you! I stressed out my arch , the top of my right foot by doing a longer than usual walk with shoes that do not offer proper support. I was worried about this pain as I was not familiar with it. I began with the basics yesterday, icing and simple stretching and it's much better today. I will be doing more massaging , that is a practice that I've actually stopped but now I understand better its importance.

I had a motorcycle accident 3 decades ago when the bike fell on my right leg and slid pushing my foot up. All the soft tissue in my leg was damaged but my foot felt like an elephant was standing on my foot - in fact both my feet are now affected. The surgeon gave me a steroid injection into the bump on top of my foot which helped at first.
I have done many of your exercises which have helped but I lapse and don’t do them til it hurts again.
I’m now 78yrs old and walk with a stick and am unable to walk very far. I have always worn lace up shoes and have medical designed orthotics. They really do make a difference. So no more pretty shoes for me, or heels. At least I’m still mobile.
    Thank you for this video.

Love this. I don’t know what’s going on. I ran 8 miles last week then 6 two days later (I can always run at least 5-6 without pain) and now the top and outer edge of my right foot hurts when I walk but only for a few seconds, eventually as I get moving the pain goes away? Absolutely no arch OR he’ll pain at all! The pain is literally just on top of the right side of my right foot not even the entire foot just the right side…. Weird.

Thank you so much, all of your videos are so helpful! Whenever I wear Chaco sandals, I end up with severe pain on top of my left foot where the strap crosses, despite having really good arch support. Would you think the pain is being caused directly by the strap or could there be something else going on biomechanically? I’m sad to abandon my Chacos since everyone raves about them, but I just can’t seem to tolerate them for long.

im in my college's marching band and we do this technique called "roll stepping", which like you said involves the bottom of the foot stretching and the top of it compressing. It's meant to reduce upper body movement like the horn bouncing up and down with each step you take, however i am 99% sure that ive got that "mid foot spur" from the 8 years of marching ive done from highschool to college.

I was getting out of the passenger seat of the car and when I stepped out and put weight on my left foot, my ankle rolled toward the outside. I was starting to fall forward on my right knee and I had to put weight on my rolled ankle to stop my fall. When I did, I did not hurt my ankle, but I believe I pulled the muscle on the top of my foot. I did not hear any popping or cracking. I am just in a lot of pain when I stand on it. I am using using the R.I.C.E method. Thanks for making this video. Hope I can recover quickly. Thank you!
