    Guess who is the general to stop the canadian contingent from entering rome, thus enabling the nazis escape to northern Italy. That general was subsequently relieved and sent back to USA.

    America liberated Rome - HA. Canada cleared the way. Clark was later reprimanded for insisting that he be the first there.

    meanwhile the Germans were escaping un the eastern part of Italy. This was a grandstand for the marginal general Clark to grab glory.
