I was just about to say, I've been trying the UNT peel off base coat and I CAN'T get it to last more than a day. Basically, as soon as I shower, wash my hand, scratch my head, or do ANYthing they pop off...Does anyone have any tips on avoiding this?

If anyone’s curious, my best guess for how the person Christine got this from did the manicure would be that they were making acrylic or gel fake nails, so they would create the base using a tip or form, then likely use a uv activated gel to append the unicorn veins. After that, they would encapsulate the nail using either a builder gel (different from a gel polish-it’s more similar to acrylic), or a clear acrylic.

The girl that you saw the Instagram post from most likely put a layer of acrylic over top of the "unicorn vein" so it would stay in place and not pop up. You wouldn't be able to tell because after putting a layer of acrylic on, one would put a coat of gel nail polish on top, and that would brighten any holo or sparkles underneath.
