I love these homey cozy vibes. It’s getting me excited for Autumn. Baby Ramsey it’s so freaking adorable, I love his little leaps of joy and him being snuggled in your arms. You are living my dream life!
I have started using toilet rolls for seed planting. A few Snips at one end and fold in to form a biodegradable pot. When it starts sprouting I will place the whole thing right in the soil. The toilet roll eventually disintegrate.
Hey Carrie we in South Africa we are coming out of winter too and I couldn’t wait for you to start sharing about seedlings and everything vegetable garden
Ramsey is just the cutest little lamb baby !!!! 😍🐑💕💕💕 Carrie, you are so clearly in your element here with the land, the animals and your garden! 💛 This video just made me feel so happy and cozy, thank you!
Egmont Seeds is a good company in New Zealand if you want a wider variety of vegetables to grow. Kings Seeds is another one although i havent ordered anything from them yet.
I haven't read all of the comments, so apologies if someone has already mentioned it. To stop the chickens flying up onto and over the fence from where they are supposed to be clip the flight feathers on one wing, then they cant fly, if you do both wings they can still fly, if they get used to coming over to the house they will become a bit of a messy nuisance. If the other hen is a bit stand offish and not so easy to catch you do it at night with a torch when they are roosting. And the other thing is, don't give them egg shells that still resemble an egg, crush the shells up so they no longer look like an egg or they might start eating their own eggs.
Watching little Ramsey follow you around unlocked a dream I didn't know I had. I loved this video and how it felt like we're just hanging out with the animals and starting seeds.
Carrie I had to watch the video several times because I fell in love with Ramsey but still also love Woolson, Lanka and Waddles where ever he is.................Fantastic video
Wow, when you compare Ramsey to Woolson when he was a baby, you can understand just how critically sick Woolson was when he came to you guys. Not only was he a newborn lamb when he came to you guys the very same week you moved into your new home- but he also had a lot of other health issues going on. And look how beautiful and big and strong he’s grown! Really amazing. It is a testament to the loving care and consistency you poured into him. It warms my heart to see it!! Also- Ramsey is just gorgeous! What a cutie pie! He seems very strong, and his fur coat is so pretty and even. He looks like a model lamb, lol. You need to see if you can get him on the cover of a New Zealand farming magazine, lol.
Love your video meeting the new members to your family Ramsey, 2chickens lovely and starting the seedlings for your garden. Cause you have had a beautiful veg garden
Carrie I'm so excited to see your seed starting! Your gardening content is how I found your channel 2 years ago and I haven't missed a video since. I would also love to see some meal ideas and more recipes you guys use often. I have a hard time coming up with healthy wholesome recipes and it seems like you and Alex eat a very healthy clean diet. Congratulations on the new little baby lamb he's adorable. I love seeing the chickens too!
You should definitely check out some of NZs amazing organic heritage seed companies that we have ❤️ Koanga, sethas seeds are great ones. Also kings seeds is a classic one, with a huge range of seeds!
My chickens used to go CRAZY for Greek yoghurt (I'd mix rolled oats into it so they had something to grab onto) and also they loved ... chicken. I know. Like I'd pour the drippings from under a roast chicken all some bread and give it to them and they'd go mad for it.
They certainly are cute when they are lambs, but they are rams and they can become not so cute as adults, and at certain times of the year it is not a good idea to turn your back on them ... once you see a couple of rams going head to head you will see why!
Hey Carrie! 😊 I really enjoy your homestead videos, it puts a big smile on my face & they make me feel calm and happy 😍 Also i wanted to ask about your patagonia vest, i love it! Do you know the name of it? I can't find it online ^^ thank you and happy day! ☀️
Have you ordered anything from King's Seeds? I thought I recognized one of their packs. I'd only ever bought in store before but I ordered some online last year and discovered that once you're in their system they'll send you a catalog. Mine arrived a few weeks back and it was so fun to look through and decide what I wanted to grow this year.
Oh my goodness!!! I cannot believe how adorbs baby Ramsey is!!! I live in Colorado with my fiance & huskey/cattle dog mix. I told my fiance awhile ago that we need chickens & now for sure a baby lamb!!! Ha!!! I have been following you for awhile now & love your videos & I am too a huge animal lover!! I just adore Lanka, Woolsen & now baby Ramsey!! What a great animal Mama you are!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! 😊✌♥
Oh hellooo there, love that you give your pet's lots of care, love and hugs, Ramsey is very happy made me smile watching him bounce around, I named my lamb "Come on" lol, an orphan, the mother had twins and wouldn't except him so I took him, I named him "Come on" he was covered in muck, wet and cold, he's doing awesome, everyday I take him out to the rest of the lambs to remind him he's a lamb lol, thanks for this Carrie ✌🏼 very refreshing 🐑🌾🐔🥚
Hi Carrie! This is kinda random- but my husband and I are planning to move to The Netherlands next summer and are starting to think about getting our animals over. I think we will be using a pet shipping company. What company did you use for Lanka and would you recommend? Even the thought of sending our pup separately from us freaks me out, but we will have to find an apartment before we bring her over :\
Uhh.. I think your chooks might need that BetterHelp therapy for the eggshells u feed them.🙊😅 Im just joking. Lol You're looking beautiful as always Carrie. Incredible weather it is in Aotearoa rn🤗😄😁
If you crush the egg shells down for them there is less chance they will start pecking their freshly laid eggs mistakenly. The shell grit is great for them and your tomato seedlings!

Always so in awe watching the life you guys have created from being in LA. It’s beautiful 💕 and I’ve been loving listening to Soul Sugar too
So glad you're enjoying the podcast!
Watching little Ramsey follow you around unlocked a dream I didn't know I had. I loved this video and how it felt like we're just hanging out with the animals and starting seeds.
Omg. Seeing lambs honestly gives me so much serotonin ☺️🥰 Ramsey is just gorgeous!
I'm convinced they are the cutest creatures on this planet

What’s precious little lamb 🐑
You putting Ramsey’s sweater on was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!!! ❤️
They certainly are cute when they are lambs, but they are rams and they can become not so cute as adults, and at certain times of the year it is not a good idea to turn your back on them ... once you see a couple of rams going head to head you will see why!
Has she shared her homemade natural pesticide that she uses on her garden??
"I hear a chicken... closer than I should hear a chicken" lol deadddd 💀

Oh Carrie, you're looking so fresh and full of vitality! Love what you do and how you do it.

Ramsey is a 🍠! He looks like his mouth is in smile mode resting face💕
love his resting smile face!
Carrie had a little lamb with fleece as white as snow and every where that Carrie went the lamb was shure to go.
Wow it is my dream to have a pet lamb! Watching him snuggle up to your face while you were seeding was almost too cute to handle
Marigolds help discourage white butterfly. You have much more success with starting seeds than me

OMGGGG I LOVE RAMSEY!!! HES SOO ADORABLE!!!❤🐏🐑
I may have missed this in a previous video, but will you be getting more chickens eventually?
it's likely but we a starting out small and will go from there. Potentially more next year!
I was hoping you guys would get yourselves another lamb 🐑 Now all you you need is a little lost duckling to wander into your garage 😀

Ramsey is so cute!!
Isn’t he? 🥹🫶
What is the music that plays at the last of the video?
I missed how Ramsey came to the homestead? Another orphan lamb, or? He's adorable and a good hopper.
Good morning 😊
Carrie had a little lamb🎶
Ramsey is so cute. So glad Woolson will have a playmate to hang around. Looking forward to the new garden. Love and be safe!😘🤗🌼ve
So cute!! I kinda want to stop eating meat when I see Ramsey 🐑😍
I really shouldn't watch your videos - now I want a lamb 😁
they are the cutest!
Not to be dramatic… but I would do absolutely anything for Ramsey omg I don’t think I’ve ever seen any cuter animal!!!
hahah he's so sweet
Two Sheep, Two Chickens, what next on the pet animal list. What a contrast from LA city life to NZ rural life...
I think that's it on animals for a little while :)
Uhh.. I think your chooks might need that BetterHelp therapy for the eggshells u feed them.🙊😅 Im just joking. Lol You're looking beautiful as always Carrie. Incredible weather it is in Aotearoa rn🤗😄😁
haha they are actually recommended to feed them!
@@CarrieRad they eat their own young?
If you crush the egg shells down for them there is less chance they will start pecking their freshly laid eggs mistakenly. The shell grit is great for them and your tomato seedlings!
