Really love how you called out the impact of the brisket in your house and also your anticipation of trying it with the whisky. It shows your level of expertise mate when talking about whisky, fantastic video as always Peter!
Great Video Peter. I love Ardnamurchan cask strength. Without a doubt Ardnamurchan is my favorite new Scotch distillery. I had to hunt for the CS but I can find it over the pond. I just found my sherry cask finished bottle and it bought a tear to my eye since its my last bottle. Can't wait to try the Rum cask finished bottle. Keep up the great videos.
Thank you. The CS and the AD are available in my area, but not the others. I will keep my eye out for them and if they show up I will buy them in a heart beat. Cheers!
Great review Peter. I am down halfway in the regular AD bottle and it's gotten only better over the last couple of months since opening it. I managed to get the cast strength yet to open and try but it sounds great based on your review. Ard-na-murchan is definitely something to be on the lookout for. Their Sherry, Rum and Madeira releases are interesting but I don't have access to them in my market unfortunately.
Woo hoo! I’m glad to hear this one is a good one. There are a couple of cases of this in my area for $84 before tax. I may get it once I finish more bottles.
I cracked my AD/ for this video. I know it's not on your sip it list, but wow. I'm actually quite impressed! Mind you, in my journey I've moved away from 'everything cask strength or nothing' phase. So the moderate abv is fine with me.
I'm not knocking this bottle, I just prefer the CS versions over this. That's why it's on my skip list. If I never had the CS AD version this would be a sip.
Hey Peter! I tried all 12 samples yesterday with one of my buddies that also enjoys peated scotches. This one was in my top six (5 tied for 2nd on scoring lol). I plan on blinding the top six this week to narrow it down even more. I had a unique smoked banana note on the palate on the Ardnamurchan AD/05.23 Cask Strength. Thanks again!!

The brisket was so so, but the whisky was still just as good. Thanks Wade!
Ardnamurchan produces some great stuff for such a young distillery. The Ardnamerican bottle is probably my favorite.
I am looking forward to other releases from them. At this point they should be close to releasing a 10 year old. Maybe?

You're welcome. It's a good brand worth a buy.

I only have access to the AD and the Cask Strength, but the sherry, rum, and madeira sounds good. Cheers!
This sounds great and certainly something I’ll look for. A bit pricey but for quality I understand. Great review. Enjoy!!
It's up there in price, but I think it's worth it.

Great price! Hopefully it stays that way.
A great review as always Peter. I bet any drink is great with your brisket!
The brisket turned out to be just okay. Nothing special, but the whisky was still delicious.

Saul Goodman. Your palate and nose is yours and yours alone. Ain't no one who can tell you how to enjoy a subjective experience.
My mouth is watering after your description and also thinking about smoked prime rib lol! Thanks for another great review!
I'll have another brisket smoking along with a pork shoulder when the Octomore video is being shot. I can't wait to try that combination out.
I was planning on opening my bottle today :) Also, looking forward to the Octomore 13.1 review!
Let me know what you think of it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Cheers!

5 tied? That's crazy! Keep me posted when you narrow it down.
@@whiskeyisajourney Well Springbank 18 received a 3.75 and five others received 3.5. The Kilkerran 8yr Bourbon Cask was last place for both of us.
@@FantasySoldier The Kilkerran 8 was last... That's surprising.
Ardnamurchan is the new Torchbearer of Scotch Whisky
I agree. Cheers.
My bottle is 141.1 proof and I paid $65. 5 out of 5 for me
141.1! Wow that's high. Glad you like it. Cheers!
Brisket….
Brisket turned out good, but not the best I've made. The whisky on the other hand was still solid.
