    I am trying to teach my blind son phonics. So glad we found your site! He is blind and can read letters but doesn’t know how to sound out the words. In school he learned from memorizing words and is an adult. If I give him the letters to type using his braille keyboard he cannot pronounce or sound out some words. Nobody ever taught him how to. After your RUclips video he practiced and I gave him the words and he spelled them correctly. I even had him pronounce simple words and although he did need help he immediately improved. It’s a start!

    Thank you for your time and efforts making this video. Is it too bother for you to answer my question? When you pronounce the letter "z" as in words like cars and cards, how do you make the friction sound? Do you slightly raise your tongue against the back of your upper teeth? Or just keep the tongue flat and make the sound between the upper and lower teeth?

    • @abionlineteach
      @abionlineteach  3 года назад +1

      No Problem :) To make the sound at the end of words like cars and cards, I would advise raising your tongue to the roof of your mouth but not pressing against teeth. I hope this helps.

    • @abionlineteach
      @abionlineteach  Год назад +2

      Hi Muhamed, thank you for your message😊 I would advise you to use your phonics and try to remember any tricky parts. I often make up silly ways to remember difficult spellings. E.g. what - there is a hat in what, w-hat. Or people there is a face hiding in people (o) and it has a silent e. Fun little ways to help remember tends to work well. Best of luck!! Abi
