Oh wow....now that hog is HUGE! Boy you sure did have the Lord with you getting them loaded. Can't wait to hear the final weights when you get them back. Great video! God bless y'all! ❤🌻
Good looking hogs. Nuttin like fresh “homegrown” meat for the smokehouse and freezer. You did a good job loading that big boy. Merry Christmas to you all and as Always your a Blessing to watch!
My grandpa has been sick and just had heart surgery and he loves doing the pig butchering and I didn’t want to do them without him so I took mine with my brother to butcher. Next year hope to be back in business
Last hogs I raised was 1990 I sold everyone nov 8 was on a Wednesday I had hogs when they were 12 cents a pound I never won’t to c another that’s why there wild hogs in this country people couldn’t feed them so they let them go

Thank you for the update on the homestead ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you maybe doing next ! Please have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! Doing well here in Kansas .
Good job Jared, glad you got them to the butcher’s shop. It is great when you can get enough help to do it yourself but times a butcher is so much better. Thanks for sharing with us. Fred.👍👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I had a bull try to jump out of trailer similar to that. The gap in the top was probably only 24 inches. He got his head and one leg stuck. I thought I was going have to kill him and cut him out. Fortunately with a lot of pushing and a few adult words I got him stuffed back in. Welded another piece to trailer where that will not happen again. Thanks for the video.
Good looking hogs. Also a good looking Chevrolet truck you got there. Wonder where you go that from? LoL. Stop by sometime and see us at Clutts sometime ole buddy. Merry Christmas to you and yours
Nice looking hogs. We took a steer off Monday. We had to do the same thing for our horse trailer! Doodle thought that he could jump through it. lol. Have a blessed day!🐖🐖
@@FlutyLickHomestead yes they can be ! I have raised cattle , sheep , chickens , ducks , geese , rabbits , horses and pigs ! Pigs was the hardest to keep up with at times !
a lot of goodness right there. I would kill to get a good butcher around us here. I am trying to get up the courage to just butcher in house here. Not exactly the task you want to take on solo.
The Justin Rhodes channel has some hog butchering videos up. The actual instructional video is not on RUclips, but they have links to the nitty gritty instructional videos from their Y T-acceptable video versions.
@@movinon1242 Notice how many people are involved with hog butchering. I think Scott Rhea is the only Solo butchering vid I have found and he just buys pieces from local butcher! LOL!
You made loading the hogs so easy. Always want to keep it as stress free as you can. No stress here. I am curious too about on the large hog weigh going to be lots of sausage and bacon. Are you going to cure/smoke the hams.
They are going to cure the hams at the butcher shop, next year hope to have my new smokehouse built! The smaller pig I’m leaving the hams whole and having them cured the bigger will be sliced like ham steaks but cured
That went pretty smooth. A friend had one fenced in a pond area he needed to get caught. He asked me to try and rope it. If you've ever tried to rope a hog you'll know I didn't get it done. I'd get it thrown around it's head but the hog would just run right threw the loop. There wasn't no jerking the slack out and holding it. My friend had a big laugh about it but I just got mad and threw the rope in the pond haha. I can laugh now and I probably laughed a little then. I wish we had cameras and RUclips back then. Well on second thought...maybe not. May God Bless ya'll
Are you guys not processing on your own any more? That was how I found you. Your hog killing video was great. We killed ours 2 weekends ago. Just like it has been for years we had the whole family come and help. We killed 4 hogs with an average weight of 550 lb.live weight. Keep up the good work. Love the vids!
This year my grandpa has been pretty sick and my brother in law had an appointment so they let me just take mine with his. Next year will be back at our place!

Fresh meat!!! Thanks for the video. MERRY CHRISTMAS. God Bless, stay safe.
Bacon, bacon, bacon!!! Good stuff!
The Lord was with you on that excursion... It could have turned out a lot worse!
If you’re ever in a pinch and need pigs to move, they’ll do about anything for a few fresh eggs
Are those Landrace hogs?
These were said to be mostly Yorkshire but have something mixed with them
Do you make souse ?lots of good meat there.
