The ending though does this mean Yamcha and Bulma are a thing here and had a child that's the same age as Gohan, because if so neat. Would be cool if Goku did teach Gohan some some martial arts before Raditz show up, because he doesn't know if Piccolo is good guy or not, and a way defend himself if Gohan gets into trouble if he's by himself. Anyways a pretty good what if idea, and looking forward to the next part soon.

I feel like instead, what if they could make WEAKER dragon balls that allow more basic wishes like reviving someone whos been dead for less than 3 months, as opposed to a year, or their Dragon doesnt grant wishes, but it grants a specific thing if you gather them. Since its warriors, perhaps the dragon balls being gathered and summoning the dragon gives you zenkais? or enhances your power multifold. Just having WARRIORS do not...warrior related things like dragon balls reuins characters like kami and dende, moori, etc. theyre obsolete at that point

Now I'm kinda wondering... What if Super Saiyan Wasn't Saiyan-Exclusive? With the species requirement for SSJ forms gone, to balance, the other requirements are hard requirements. You _have to_ have a high enough base power level, let's say at least a million, and you _have to_ experience a traumatic event. No wanting it really hard, no tingly back, just lots of ki reserves and something with enough psychological impact to ignite it. Obviously it'd come more naturally to Saiyans since zenkais would still be a Saiyan-exclusive thing, and things like SSJ4 (at least as we know it) and other Oozaru-reliant forms would also be Saiyan-only, but everything else is fair game from standard SSJ to 3 to Blue (or Rose for Kais and other beings that were born deities).

My only issue with the what if is that wouldn’t goku saiyan zenkai help close the gap between him and king piccolo as Saiyan zenkai is there to allow saiyan to grow stronger then the thing that places them in critical state or near death situation after injuries are healed after said condition.
I must voice my disagreement with this story. Birthing children shouldn't give Piccolo a Zenkai as it is not a near-death experience. And if you say that it does because it drains from his life-force, then it should have stopped giving him a Zenkai after he became immortal. Can't drain life-force if he has unlimited life force.
Wait, since king piccolo spat out thousands of children before being sealed away, shouldn't either he or his kids have easily massacred roshi, shen, and mutaito?

Which is them harming themselves through training. So yes, they can hurt themselves for Zenkais. Also, in this what if they didn't hurt themselves. They hurt each other.

Zenkai boost don’t happen after self inflicted wounds and without changing anything else about namekians, king piccolo would actually be hilariously weaker from spitting out an actual army worth, atleast for a few weeks til he trained and meditate to regain his strength.
