Nasa smashes asteroid: BBC News Review

The story
Protecting our Earth from space rocks.
Nasa has successfully crashed a Dart spacecraft into an asteroid as part of a defence test.
It’s hoped scientists will learn more about pushing dangerous asteroids off course.
Dr Lori Glaze, the director of planetary science at Nasa, called it ‘a new era for humankind’.

Hello BBC Learning English - News Review. I was thinking of the News Review with its old-fashion as Radio Presenter is still my favorite than the new version. I hope first version comes back to the future

Thank goodness the subtitles of News Review are kept, unlike other programmes such as English in a Minute, The English We Speak. The subtitles of those programmes have recently been removed. Hopefully BBC Learning English would consider looking into the matter.

@@bbclearningenglish Hi 👋and thank you for your reply. I just want to let you know that News Review & 6 minutes English are always great 👍👏. With the help of subtitles & playback speed function on RUclips, I could effectively do the repeat and shadow practices. But what I wanted to point out was the subtitles of the other programmes like the new-face series of “The English We Speak” & the latest episode of “English in a Minute” (both on the website and on the app where no playback speed function is provided) have recently been removed 😭🥺😣. That makes me not easy to follow the speakers 😱😰. So, pls see if the subtitles of those programmes could be added again as before. Thank you very much 🙏🤓
