that beef wasn't the only thing raw in this video... thanks for sharing your personal thoughts with us... you're a magnificent storyteller, I can picture you seeking refuge in your brothers room while he turned the volume up. also thumbs up to more Vietnamese food!!!
I wish i have a friend like you seriously Thien. You're one of the best people on here, so raw and so genuine. Watching you eat and listen to you is almost like a remedy. Make me feel happy and i can relate so much to you because i'm also Viet. Keep it up Thien! ilysm.
FAMILY! Oh the drama they create. Loved listening to you talk on a Tabu topic again. My parents caused me so much hurt through my childhood, emotional pain that I carry with me and cry about even today and I turn 60 in July. The memories never go away, I've been waiting all my life for an apology from my mum and know it will never happen, she is 86. Do I forgive them, No I don't. Do I see my Mum regularly and care for her when she needs me, yes I do. Why, I guess just bc she's my Mum. When I was at my Dad's funeral 8years ago, I cried like a baby, not bc I loved him, but bc of what we never had. Life is hard, we all have our crosses to bare, the best lesson I learnt was how to love my son and tell him repeatedly how much I love him and what an amazing human being he is. (He is 29). I never heard this once my whole life from my parents. Anyway, I've raved on too long, you are amazing and I love that you share such intimate feelings with us, I love who you are. ❤️
You're a true beauty, inside and out. I know you're getting to know me with every video post I have but I'm also getting to you know you, as well. Anne, you're a fine example of who I want to be - reflective and fearless. This message was honest and sad in nature, but I don't think that of you. The comments you leave me here are encouraging and uplifting - that;s the Anne I know. Maybe I can replace one of your family members?
Another great video. I love the decor in the back and the pot really adds to the beauty of the food. Thien your videos are just getting better and better.
OMG this was the best mukbang and conversation I ever witnessed, your mukbangs are my favorite now and are the only one I watch, this is your gig and your great at it, I agree with everything you said, you are so relatable and I love it.
Omg Thien! The story about you eating food that others are unwilling to and getting praised by your mom is so relatable to me! For me it's my grandmother because my mom passed so I've been living with her since then. My grandma is a genius cook and not one to always follow the recipes and constantly making recipes out of thin air. I'm a millennial and my grandma would cook lots of traditional food or food that HER grandmother eats. She was so happy and constantly praising me for not being picky and able to eat so well. And it makes me happy too because more food for me☺️😉
I really don't know what else I can say to express to you how happy your videos make me. I could be having a shity day and as soon as I see you've uploaded a video, my whole demeanor changes. It not just the food,it's not just the stories, it's the combination of both and more. Your attitude about the world and life. How you carry yourself is so real. It's very rare to come across someone like you. I just want you to know that you are definitely leaving a mark on my life, even with something as small as a video. I watch a lot of these mukbangs because I believe they open up another side of me. The curious side of wanting to experience different things and cultures, when I'm not able to go out and actually do so. Thank you for what you do. For 2017 I'm going to try and make it a point to tell those that I appreciate them no matter how big or small it is. And you are my first. LOVE ya and keep up the good work :-)
Pho is the ultimate comfort food for me! Looking forward to all your future viet food mukbangs! Thanks for always letting us know where you get the food. Definitely going to try the tea place next time I'm in that area. 😊👍
I sowwie!!! :( btw, I always tune into your live shows and I try to comment and then it gets lost in a matter of seconds, so I'm like - i'll quit and just watch.
Did i say you're one of my favourite mukbangs? Because you're very natural, you dont care how wide you open your mouth, how much food you put in your mouth, if you get food on your face or the noise you make when you eat. Love it! Keep it up!
Yes, I totally agree with you that a person does not have to cry when a family member dies. It was great to see you cook and eat some healthy foods that is part of your life style.
Thanks, Jerrie! I will definitely still have fastfood mukbangs but I want to prove to you guys that you can still enjoy the foods that you like as long as you are eating healthy most of the time and exercising regularly.
I connected with you so deep in this video man. When you started talking about parents and family, I just felt some type of connection. I have and am still dealing with problems with parents and family members and just watching this video made me feel better because I see that I'm not alone. Thanks for making this video.
Who's still here in October 2023 watching Thien eat Pho? When I order Pho through uber eats the broth always comes separately in a microwavable plastic container much like the one you are using, and from the very 1st time I watched this video 6yrs ago I now use the container as a bowl just like you😊 I can't eat my Pho straight from the bowl anymore lol I mix everything together and use the plastic container as a bowl😂 Also you are the reason I love Sinigang Na Baboy💯💯 after you did your mukbang I had to try it and OMG I felt like I had been hiding under a rock my whole life because Sinigang is the absolute best😊
You are my fav person right now. You are True not only to others but first to You. And that fact that You are able to accept that human side its the most special thing about You 👌🏼 thank You
Yummy PHO! Love your deep conversations, I've always felt and thought the same about things regarding family always coming before friends. I am 100% with you on everything!
Thank you. Thank you for being so you and talking about these raw subjects that are so important and true for many of us yet nobody talks about them out of I guess “fear” of what we might come off as. But 100% felt what you were saying. Again, thank you for the connection with us your subscribers. Also, that pho looked soooooo amazing. I’m pregnant and watching this at 4:30 am almost crying because I want this right now!!!!! Lol
Yay you're back!! Nothing is better than having Pho on a rainy day. I feel the same way when I have Pho since my dad would always take me every time I went to work with him.
I need to hear this. I get so worried when editing the video because I am absolutely aware that all screen resolutions and qualities are different. My videos on my laptop are gorgeous in color but terrible on my desktop.
Thien Le Time to get a new monitor for your desktop? 😜 I just bought a 4K and this video looks gorgeous on it. ❤️ Honestly though, the colors are just fine on iPhone 7 too.
YAAAASSSSSSSS! Mad props for making your own pho, love me some Viet food, all day - everyday. Pho & eggrolls are seriously one of my favorite combinations.
I am amazed watching several different mukbang channels at the level of heat you can put in your mouth without scorching every tastebud in there......I’m a sissy apparently!!!! Love watching you and Hyundai eats!!!
Just watching you eat, makes me hungry... you really eat with a passion and makes everything delicious!!! While watching you it makes me happy and crack me up with your stories..
Thank you for making this video, Thien. Whenever I'm homesick, I watch you. Living in a predominately white town sucks because there's not many choices for Asian food. I can also relate to your stories about being called a good girl for eating things like balut and bun mam. I miss pho so much.
Yes, please do showcase more Vietnamese dishes on your channel! People generally know what pho is but there is SO MUCH more to our cuisine than just pho. It'll be awesome for you to show that! (Lunar New Year food video, perhaps?) Can't wait to watch more vids from you! Happy New Year's! ☺🎉
I'm in heaven too - I love this video Thien! the slurping, chewing crunching sounds, your new pot 😍😍😍. I'm super hungry now tho lol....and that makes total sense about the egg roll/ spring roll thing - it's a Vietnamese egg roll; I thought they just called it a spring roll here in Canada.
When my grandmother died, I wasn't really sad and couldn't cry. I mean, she had been really sick for a long time and it felt like she was finally free. I hate to admit it, but she didn't really like me and it was mutual. I respected her, she was a good person, but I wasn't too fond of her. So, I get it. And I think there's nothing wrong. There are tons of people and we don't have to like them all. We can't pick family. Also, I love watching you eat vietnamise food and I'm dying to try it! It seems very different from the food I'm used to (I'm from Brazil) and very tasty. You are one of my favourites mukbangers, I really love your videos!
My condolences. I hope that I am able to bring some light into your life in these dark days. I'm glad to hear from you and that you're managing. *hug*!
Beautiful!!! and so is the food... when my fiance and I started dating he had quite a hard time opening up and trying other cuisines aside from American food... but now he enjoys other cuisine! One of his faves is definitely Pho... and is adamant on getting his Pho fix whenever he craves it! Presentation is on point, love! Cheers!🍸😙😙😙
your amazing. .. I loved this video. .so ready for pho... I loved the conversation as well. relationships are relative . we all relate differently to one another. to not cry at a funeral is completely fine. I truly enjoy ur depth..
I just recently went to a Vietnamese restaurant for the first time. I got spring rolls with pork and shrimp and egg rolls with pork. I also got Pho. My Pho had pig cushion, crab meat, shrimp, beef, and quail eggs with onions and cilantro but mine had glass noodles. Very good 😋
This is such a fantastic video. I agree completely with pretty much everything you said about family relationships and what people expect of us because of them.
Yes!!! I'm biased when it comes to viet food too. Nothing better! This takes me back to when I first discovered you. Such a difference in quality and demeanour. You have come along way....more like come into your own. The more you opened up. The more we love you!!! But of course your love of food is what brought me here but it's you that has made me a fan/friend. #teamThien 😁😍
Hi I when I'm sick or have a hangover I always like to eat Hot and Sour soup I love Chinese food but that pho soup looks really good love your mukbang video's
Wow , that’s for sharing . Was lovely to here more about you . Some mukbangers get so dramatic about sharing their laters boyfriend etc. Hearing about your actual past was good of you . Thank you x
So glad you are back! I can totally relate to you in this video. I am chinese and I definitely remembered the fights my parents had. Being an only child i remember hiding under the table or desk when they fought. It was such a terrible feeling! Like your parents, my parents are still together and care for each other deeply. I never got to experience parents divorce, but I also have many friend who have. It is so cool hearing some of your stories as I can totally relate. Please do more vietnamese mukbangs! See you soon!
every Vietnamese person I watch asmr or mukbang just go into beast mode with their soups lol no time to let it cool down just go ham. I would burn every single taste bud I have lol
I love it!! Bring us the Vietnamese food!!! I have got to try some Pho. I've never had it before. I just think you are so fricken awesome!! Awe, so sweet to hear how much you love your dog!!!!
I felt the same way when my uncle died.. I felt bad for my father but I also didn't cry I rarely saw him and I felt like something was wrong with me.. and thought people might think I'm heartless.. love your videos..I always enjoy what you have to say..I love listening to other people's opinions
Love this Pho-Family vid much. I so agree that you don't have to be lovey dovey and cling to family all the time. My family spends days where we don't talk to each other and I don't call my own parents (they usually are the ones that call me). My mother's brother past away and I felt like I was among strangers, like no connection. We all appreciate each other and I even tear up if I think of my parents passing away. However, we manifest our love very differently, subtly and only when we see each other.
You spoke to me in this video. My uncle and mother are raised together but they both have different fathers and is always at her neck about pointless bull shit that has nothing to do with him. He hated my moms father cause he always brought my mom something and my uncle was left empty handed and he hated that. I feel like half siblings rarely get along more so than close siblings. I always wanted a sister but because I never had a father, I was afraid I'd be in the same situation. My house is no example for another kid so I'm glad I'm an only child because I'm not that much of a pain in the ass. I always knew my mother wasn't the only one with a broken family but I guess I needed to see and hear it for myself
Oh I love pho!😍 I just stumbled upon your videos recently (the newer ones) I really enjoy your content, I'd love to hear more stories of who you are now too to get to know who's behind the videos! 🍜🍜
I'm kinda new to your channel. This is my 4th or 5th video that I've seen so far. I really like your personality, the stuff you talk about, the way you eat, compliment the food and really describe it. I'm surprise you don't have a LOT of subscribers like I would imagine you would.
Okay I'm been watching you and I feel you on the not crying when some close to you die's like who made up that rule, it's all about the connection you had with that person that deserves different types of emotions as always great topics🙏🏽✨
I appreciate your honesty. We fight in front of our kids and I can see on their faces how much it hurts them. I’m guilty of starting or better yet allowing him to pluck my nerves and get me amped up. But I do choose now to calm myself and not argue back, especially when I’m on the emotional side.
Thank you, Thien. Not many people understand this. I have barely opened my mind up to the idea but it's released me from the anxiety that comes from a broken family. Great video.
you and I are literally the same on how we put together our dish. looks really good and I wish I could have it right now its my favorite food. I was craving it so much watching this video and was waiting for you to do a mukbag on pho so bad
I totally get what you mean. I didn't cry or feel sad when my grandmother passed a several years ago. We didn't really have a relationship, there was a massive distance (miles) between us, a language barrier and I only saw her once every two years. The only part that made me feel bad was that my mom lost her mother. Other than that nothing.... It also makes you paranoid that everyone is looking at you cause you're not showing emotion. lol
silly goose. haha. well, actually... that's always been there, even in the last 4 videos. You just couldn't see it because the food was blocking the view. good observation, though. only you, marissa - only you. :)
that beef wasn't the only thing raw in this video... thanks for sharing your personal thoughts with us... you're a magnificent storyteller, I can picture you seeking refuge in your brothers room while he turned the volume up. also thumbs up to more Vietnamese food!!!
James Le
Thank you for not only creating beautiful videos of delicious food, but also provoking thought. Watching you is never mindless 💗
I would HATE to take away 40 minutes of your day and leave you empty handed; that is a lot of TIME spent on watching these videos.
your vulnerability, and your transparency and openness is so touching.
My favorite food is Pho! I did more than one Pho video too! 😜

Did i say you're one of my favourite mukbangs? Because you're very natural, you dont care how wide you open your mouth, how much food you put in your mouth, if you get food on your face or the noise you make when you eat. Love it! Keep it up!
the noise... omg. haha. the grunting?
lol must be! and all that slurping and chewing!
Yes, I totally agree with you that a person does not have to cry when a family member dies. It was great to see you cook and eat some healthy foods that is part of your life style.

This was so comforting to watch for some reason
I made Vietnamese egg rolls with a Vietnamese nun yesterday. Talk about authentic and delicious!! 😋
I connected with you so deep in this video man. When you started talking about parents and family, I just felt some type of connection. I have and am still dealing with problems with parents and family members and just watching this video made me feel better because I see that I'm not alone. Thanks for making this video.
I've never had vietnamese food. Makes me want to try it now. Thanks Thien haha.
it is a MUST!
Who's still here in October 2023 watching Thien eat Pho?
When I order Pho through uber eats the broth always comes separately in a microwavable plastic container much like the one you are using, and from the very 1st time I watched this video 6yrs ago I now use the container as a bowl just like you😊
I can't eat my Pho straight from the bowl anymore lol I mix everything together and use the plastic container as a bowl😂
Also you are the reason I love Sinigang Na Baboy💯💯 after you did your mukbang I had to try it and OMG I felt like I had been hiding under a rock my whole life because Sinigang is the absolute best😊
I missed you!! Love the presentation like always

Mmm all that fresh basil. This looks like perfection. I'm getting drooly watching and you just started eating 😍
This entire mukbang looks BEAUTIFUL on my screen. The colors of the food and background are simply perfection! Yeah you're pretty perfect too hon. 😂😍
New subscriber here. I love how real you are...and I didn't cry at my grandmother's funeral either. Oh well.
YAAAASSSSSSSS! Mad props for making your own pho, love me some Viet food, all day - everyday. Pho & eggrolls are seriously one of my favorite combinations.

Yesss! I am so excited that you are going to do more Vietnamese food! 😍😍😍
HI Thien, Thank you so much for sharing your personal life experience and stories, you made this video so warm and different. :)

every Vietnamese person I watch asmr or mukbang just go into beast mode with their soups lol no time to let it cool down just go ham.
I felt bad for my father but I also didn't cry I rarely saw him and I felt like something was wrong with me.. and thought people might think I'm heartless.. love your videos..I always enjoy what you have to say..I love listening to other people's opinions
tomorrow I'm eating pho.👍love your mukbang...
Rly excited for the Vietnamese food. Anything you're passionate about!
Wow - thank you for your support, Brian! I'll make you proud.
My first video of yours.
This was the most satisfying MukbangI have EVER watched!

I always knew my mother wasn't the only one with a broken family but I guess I needed to see and hear it for myself
tysm for uploading 😭 i have midterms starting today and this made me feel better
Oh I love pho!😍 I just stumbled upon your videos recently (the newer ones) I really enjoy your content, I'd love to hear more stories of who you are now too to get to know who's behind the videos! 🍜🍜
For some reason it's soothing listening to you eat this pho. Haha, I love you !!
slurp slurp haha
I'm kinda new to your channel. This is my 4th or 5th video that I've seen so far.
I really like your personality, the stuff you talk about, the way you eat, compliment the food and really describe it. I'm surprise you don't have a LOT of subscribers like I would imagine you would.
I cannot deal with how beautiful the set up is and also the mind boggling deliciousness!!!!
trying to represent for our peeps. haha :)
This was so satisfying to watch, I've never had pho before and I'm dying to try some very soon! And yes buying that pot did help the food aesthetic 😭
Okay, good. That pot made a dent in my pocketbook lol
This was a deep Mukbang..Thanks for sharing.
and thank you for listening. :)
Your voice is so soothing!!! Love watching you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never knew about the lettuce eggroll burrito thing! Gotta try that next time I go out for pho😋
I always have pho with banh mi 😍 usually after eating pho at 10am, I won't be hungry for the rest of the day and it's always SO GOOD!
I LOVE BANH MI! You should be seeing that in the future, my love.
I just love to watch you eat😍 you always deliver👌🏽great video😘💫
Okay I'm been watching you and I feel you on the not crying when some close to you die's like who made up that rule, it's all about the connection you had with that person that deserves different types of emotions as always great topics🙏🏽✨
It is truly fascinating how many people can relate to this topic. It makes sense right? But it is a strange reality to face.
Yay!!2 of my favorite youtubers also loved this video!!
I appreciate your honesty. We fight in front of our kids and I can see on their faces how much it hurts them. I’m guilty of starting or better yet allowing him to pluck my nerves and get me amped up. But I do choose now to calm myself and not argue back, especially when I’m on the emotional side.
Omg. The set up, the food, yesssss. 👏🏼😋
Pho tai is one of my favorites. I make that at least once a month using my grandmother's recipe. My family is from Saigon. Thanks for sharing
Omg I obsess with my two sisters and my brother I couldn't imagine life without them. Btw Looks yummy now I'm craving it 😩
Thank you, Thien. Not many people understand this. I have barely opened my mind up to the idea but it's released me from the anxiety that comes from a broken family. Great video.
For you to even "think" about this is good enough to me. Stay strong, my love. You can ALWAYS spill your guts on my channel anytime, anywhere.
I really enjoyed ur all videos....love it.
you and I are literally the same on how we put together our dish. looks really good and I wish I could have it right now its my favorite food. I was craving it so much watching this video and was waiting for you to do a mukbag on pho so bad
You make everything you eat look sooooo good haha. You def make me want to step outside my comfort zone and try different cuisines 😋
It also makes you paranoid that everyone is looking at you cause you're not showing emotion. lol
I see that strategically placed vietnamese kitchen book 😉
silly goose. haha.
well, actually... that's always been there, even in the last 4 videos. You just couldn't see it because the food was blocking the view.
good observation, though. only you, marissa - only you. :)
