Definitely back in the 90s this solo motivated me to learn how to play guitar... 😂 😂 😂 Believe it or not today in 2021 I started to learn 😅😅I guess is never too late 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 cheers
Well first thing to learn never cover Hendrix as no one else sounds like him or ever will. Not even SRV or that Michael Bauble guy..who did some horrendous lounge jazz cover of Wind Crys Mary..
This stuff is actually not that good at all, keep in mind that in at this point in the 80s when Thrash was popular unlike now, it was very easy to inspire thousands with mindless shredding. I love Kirk and love this solo since it’s mostly improvisation of a few scales and just going up and down the fretboard, so it’s way easier to learn how to do this than you think
@@Egonzal316 Thats not what im saying at all haha. Just a few revisions of some scales and its easy for even you to play. Yeah it sounds really good, but its easier than you think. Look today at players like Chris Broderick, who would never get away with doing this on stage. People in the crowd would roll their eyes. My point is that technicality of players has evolved massively since Kirk was able to do this on stage and get awe. You missed my point clearly
@@galaxyrealm9643 take a Marty Friedman solo for example. Those are hard enough to play, but imagine being able to write one??? THAT is hard, shredding over scales like Kirk is doing here is easier than you think, that’s what I’m saying
Guy can shred for sure. I'm sure he's probably tenfold better today than he was back then too. Kirk is a good guitar player for sure... but... he sounds so unrefined here, like, it sounds like a child trying to play in front of a crowd. Out of tune, tone is all over the place, and just mindlessly shredding. It's cool when that's what you're doing for the most part, but when he plays slower, he sounds flat compared to what he's trying to play.
Yeah cough, Kirk sucks, he can't play guitar at all just like everyone says. COUGH!! (Sarcasm), he's the best musician in Metallica (-Cliff of course, R.I.P). Funny I see people try to play LIKE Kirk and they fail miserably.
I'd say James and Lars are the better musicians, especially since they write and arrange most of the music. I've also seen many people play Kirk's solos and they do just fine, sometimes even better, unless they're kids who are just starting out on guitar.
3:19 I love when he starts playing Stevie Ray Vaughan’s version of Little Wing. He kills it
He's in Seattle and clearly channeling Jimi.

My guitar hero 😍

It came out a year later.
Its actually a bit from the frayed ends of sanity, interesting
any1 else besides me crying while hearing this ?
Damm, goosebumps. Great to see young Kirk shredding. Good job to the guitar setup, to take beating like this and still be in tune :D
este sin duda para mi es el mejor solo de kirk para mi no se los demas
Tiene un solo en una habitacion de hotel en el year and half que es brutal
4:08 is it just me who saw that mysterious headstock of his guitar?
good eye. Let me find which part of the concert that's from. He seems to be using the reverse headstock strat

I use this for inspiration on the guitar

This is Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix.
It’s little wing by Jimi Hendrix. But Stevie Ray Vaughn remade it and Kirk sounds like he’s playing closer to that version than Jimi’s
