  • Waxed cotton jackets are a mainstay of classic menswear, from Barbours to Belstaff, from country to motorcycling, from farm to town. The new "Orkan" from UK maker English Utopia is a combination of influences and made to the utmost quality. In this video I look at two of the design influences, and see how this has been used in the final jacket.
English Utopia is based in York and owned by Gary Newbold. Gary was the head of design at Barbour around the millennium and has been making quality jackets for over 30 years. He has also been a guest on the Garmology podcast twice, to popular acclaim.
