NGL…I can stare at your build for a while 😍 So Beautiful, Sarah! Taking pointers and styling tips from the beautiful examples! Your content is really enjoyable!!! Thanks!
At least you have someone in SoCal. Even massive NYC has no cyclocross racing. Sad cus It’s my fav cycling discipline to watch (I RUclips all the euro races) and race (1 season in MN was some of the hardest riding I have done in my life). Wish it came back to popularity.
Dannng, I was gonna get that Wendy stem a few months ago but I cheaped out and got a 30 dollar Leadtec from Wabi instead. I shoulda got it but the black is glossier than my headset and spacers, would have looked a bit off. Shoulda gone with the silver one like you did, looks good with the fork and headset and would have matched my brake levers, bottle cages and brakes.
The black one looks super glossy. ⚙️ ✨I debated whether to get the black or silver. The black definitely brings out the beautiful heart more. I thought about it for months. It's my first time spending on a stem. I had a cheap state bicycle stem for years. The Leadtec from Wabi looks so slick, especially in black! If I knew about this brand, I would have chosen it. My state stem developed a lot of scratches in black. The Leadtec is such a great price. Thank you so much!
-CroMo Steel frame👌🏽 Steel is not my cup of tea yes it absorbs all the impacts on a bike and can take a hit. Its a bit heavy for my taste up hills are rough. But other than that. Without me being such a daisy 🌼 about it. It’s a great choice. -pedals can feel a bit short under my foot as to why stick to wider ones especially straps as cages do give in quick over time. You go through a whole bike life time before straps give in on you. Grips I would probably try oury as I’m sure over time weaving through traffic the bars are gunna be much might down the road want them short. Oury grips with the metal lock on the end may feel like strong grip as our sweat makes grip disappear. They sell them on Amazon. The saddle is nice but over time depending each one’s bodies are different. And our biomechanics are different as well so this might not even be a problem but was a problem for my brother. The saddle can be rough on the groin. Most websites don’t understand saddles. Cheap one probably the track throne saddle with the hole in middle is much more comfy. Lastly I saw you placing the chain I see no issue with that always make sure a bike shop always runs a calibration on it as there are too many factors that go into it that cause accidents. You mainly feel them when you ride with no hands.(which I’m not suggesting on doing) I see your happy with the way you even unboxed it. I’m stoked for you. Probably my favorite part of the whole video. The hair was just holding the vibes in the curls. 2 songs came to mind. Hombres G- Devuélveme a mi chica Lobo- Hombre en Paris I see you also had your certify supervisor doggo. He knighted the Izumi Chain into the family and gave his blessings.
Thank you! I appreciate you so much! Thanks for helping me out with the crankset! The steel frame is much heavier than my state! I expected and needed it! It sounds crazy because I am so small, but a light bike makes me feel unsafe with how windy it can get. No lie, it has shifted me over. I feel much safer on it. I am excited to see the birthmarks come in ( rust ). What pedals do you suggest/use? I was trying it because I thought the same, but I wanted to try clipless pedals, so my thought process was to train my feet through the toe cage to see if I developed better comfort. My pink Oury grips are my favorite! But felt a bit short on this bar. I can't stand my saddle, and I honestly can't afford one right now. I sold my Brooks, but I'm still in search of a saddle I love! I was looking at SDG saddles (leopard print). I will check out the track throne saddle with the hole in the middle. Thanks for the advice on the chain! I definitely will get it checked out! I was paranoid on how tight it should be, I read that it should be enough to push the chain slightly up and down. But I definitely will get it checked out. The thought now won't go away since you mentioned it! Thanks again for all your help! Appreciate all the knowledge! ✨⚙
I asked the bike shop to cut right before all the measurement lines and logo on the edge of the Nitto FW82 endings. I'll measure it soon! I kind of just tried it out by holding it to my comfort. Initially, it felt crazy wide- 650mm
Ahhh! You got the frame! Congrats! You're just a wheelset away from having a second bike now. How are you liking in so far, do you feel you need to keep correcting it when riding hands free?
Thank you!! Lol sticking to one bike! Slowly selling or giving away all my gear I am not using. Everything feels great! The heavy frame keeps my bike more stable during hands free rides during windy days. The cog and crankset short arms provides less effort to pick up speed. Thank you for asking! 😭
@@FixedGearCycling Yeah, shorter arms help spin easier, though sometimes the extra torque from the long arms is better for hills and taking off from a stop. I found that my bikes with sealed headset bearings need to be corrected more when riding no hands (80% of my riding due to a neck injury) my older Fuji without sealed bearings in the headset seems to go exactly where I want it to go without feeling like I have to steer it at all. I sold three bikes last summer, but I still have two and a complete frame. I think two is fine if you have room, as it's easy to be bikeless if you have a wreck. Mostly I have a few because there is no real value in selling them. Glad you're loving the new frame. Wind really gets you with the deep section wheels, like the ones you found in the trash, crosswinds on those will blow the wheel right out from under you I'd imagine... I've made that mad grab for the bars many times ;-)

Thanks!! ⚙️✨
Much wider bars I see.
Loving them!
Try clipless pedals. Like Shimano or Time Atac. And for sure you’ll look good on a clipless shoes.
Thank you for your recommendation! I've been researching which ones!
