This is pretty cool and shows how versatile the 555 timer is. I believe the 555 is providing the trigger pulses, and the "ping' may be timed by the capacitors. Are you able to provide a basic overview of how the circuit works?

@@estechknowledge The same as the diagram in the description, but no worries, I changed my project, I'll use an LDR (light-depending-resistor) for my circuit. I was going to do a proximity sensor like those used in a car when going in reverse that it beeps the closer you get. However, I tried to use the HC SR04 without an arduino, but it would have been hard, so I won't use it anymore. I'll use an LDR and make a circuit that when you take an item (Indiana Jones style) from a platform, a loud sound is produced.
