    I bought the Samsung T7 2tb. No problems, working fine and very compact.

    I have the SanDisk Extreme Pro 4TB and have had issues with it deleting files or unmounting from the computer. Have you had this issue?

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  Год назад

      No I haven’t had that issue. But I have heard there’s a batch of larger drives that may have some issues. So if they persist, I would reach out to Sandisk for a replacement

    Heya! Thank you so much for the video! Liked and subscribed almost immediately. Haha. I actually have 2 questions if you'd be kind enough and have some time to answer them:
    1. Can I transfer my footage from the camera into the SSD and edit the footages there with either Finalcut or Davinci? Assuming that creating proxies from said programs would also be automatically stored in the SSD (i.e., with the original file location)
    2. Can I edit 4K 120p 10 bit 4.2.2 files with this method?

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  Год назад

      Hi thanks for watching.
      Yes you can edit directly off the drive. Whether or not you need proxies, will be determined by how fast your computer is.
      I edit 4K 120p from the Sony A7siii just fine. But again this has more to do with your computer. These drives are fast enough to handle most files.

      @shaunashleychin Год назад +1

      @@CreativeTechLab Thank you so much for your reply! Yea I recently bought the Sony A7siii as well but what I didn't realise is the space required. My laptop is old so I can't just edit the footage as per usual so I have to create proxies. But then thats the next problem....not enough disk space. Haha.

    Sandisk Extreme Pro has failure issues, unfortunately. I was about to buy one since there's a great sale but there are tons of articles on the reliability right now. guess that's why

      Hi there’s been recent articles about this. However, all the ones I’ve seen have been specific to the 4TB versions. But if you’re concerned get the Samsung it’s great

    My brand new Samsung T7 writes 36 mbit/s, it is painfully slow. I just formatted to APFS. Very confused on what's going on. It's the second I bought, the last one got stuck at formatting forever. Could be bad luck but seems faulty to me...

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  Год назад

      That’s strange. I have a few T7’s and I’ve never had either of those experiences. I’d definitely reach out to your retailer for a replacement

    • @jo.da.6240
      @jo.da.6240 Год назад

      @@CreativeTechLab I did. He couldn't explain it either. I decided to exchange it to a SanDisk 2TB, I have several of them they never failed me. Still, really strange that the 1st one didn't want to format at all and the 2nd one only had 36 mb/s. I used a 4TB T7 from a friend recently which worked great, which is why I wanted to get one. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the M1 specifically or if 4TB SSDs are more prone to having issues but no idea.

    sorry but half of the time in your video, you are talking about the looks of the drive that everyone can see that is obviously but not the technical point if it actually will drive support Macbook Pro or any other technical information. Unfollow for me.

    Which one is faster for gaming load times?

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  11 месяцев назад

      I’ve never used them for gaming. In the test I did the SanDisk came out slightly faster read/write speeds. But I think you’d be good with either one.
