Oh my word. The skewer insertion had me nervous. I love how much garlic you used. That shank is lucky to have met you. Listen to that skin. Brilliant job!! Thanks so much for being a consistent participant in these collabs. You are awesome my friend. Sandee
We bavarians tend to have this with bread dumplings or potato dumplings and sometimes with hot sweet red cabbage 😊. Great job like you get it in bavaria. Best wishes to you 😊
Wow Tony!! That was so amazing to watch!! I have never in my life seen a pork knuckle and I have been cooking for 40 years! The way it crisped up in the oven was just amazing! and the gravy looked so good on top! well done my Friend! Great being part of this collaboration with you!
Many thanks Karen. The pork knuckles here in the UK are usually sold preserved in a brine and called 'ham hocks', but this was fresh, I had to order it from my butchers
Hey Tony, sorry I missed your premier but I'm finally here to catch up. What an amazing recipe, I've learnt something new. I would skip the stabbing step though coz I'm so scared of knives and hospitals 😂😂😂 Love all the spices... Thanks for teaching me something new! Always a pleasure collaborating with you...
Hi Tony I have never tried Pork Knuckle before but wow that Crackling Looked amazing and the gravy you made looked silky smooth what a delicious combination of flavours huge big like from me my friend have a good week
Thanks Andrew. I had to order the pork from my butchers as you just don't find fresh pork knuckles in the supermarkets. They are basically uncured hocks of ham
really perfect result....very interesting how you made the whole dish. Very careful and with knowledge....love it. This is a great dish, also the gravy must be awesome. Thank you very much for this video, Tony! Greetings, Boris.
Dear Tony - loved your video and recipe! I hope you dont mind tellingl you that the pork knuckle in German is called / pronounced SCHWEINS - HAXE. You pronounce the S to the first part of the word ( SCHWEINS ) and then you add HAXE .... Best regards from Germany ... ;-) Bettina
thanks for showing something new Tony. I've never heard of a pork knuckle but you've certainly made my mouth water. I'd love to try more German food, I don't know much about it. Loved watching this come together, really making me hungry and I bet that would be insanely good! Well done!
To be honest I don't know too much about German food either. They do love their meat though! This dish was delicious. I bought three knuckles, this was my second one. I still have one left, so come on over 😃
Hi Brother. I have an appointment today that I couldn't get out of. I will miss your premiere, so please pardon me. I will watch your video upon my return. It sure looks delicious though. Cheers. Sandee
Wow, this looks really good 😋 Here in Sweden it's kiiiind of a tradition to serve pork knuckle along with "rotmos" which is a mash of potatoes, carrots and Swedish turnip. I think it would be perfect to have along this one 😁
Just like my Mama would have made it... 😂ThankU...Just by chance I have a pork knuckle in my freezer and was just wondering how to cook it. 😊😅 Ta.! So much....
For all you visitors to Munich and Bavaria . Roast knuckle of pork . Pick up the haxe by the protruding bone ,cut down 90 degrees , and pop the bone out . Then cut the meat at 45° angle . JOB DONE !
Schweinshaxe pronounced: Schweins Haxe it means pork knuckle. I would never discard the carrots and the onion and the garlic. I would definitely eat those. 🥰
