Hey guys,
This time it is about my latest flight from Frankfurt to Corfu in Greece with Ryanair Boeing 737-800, EI-FOG, in July 2019. The whole approach for Rwy35 can be seen. First everything was quite usual and not very thrilling when on the last few feet we were hit by some windshear. Captain decided to declare a missed approach and go around for safety reasons. Turning right for a right downwind to Rwy35 we did a second attempt which was finally successful.

That was not a winds hear go-around. You can hear the Flaps travelling to 15 seconds after applying go-around thrust. That is standard on Boeing 737's. In a Windshear Go-Around you do NOT change configuration, i.e. no Flaps change until you are out of Windshear.

War absolut richtig so. Die Landebahn in Korfu ist nun mal sehr kurz und die Piloten wollten sicher aufsetzen auch wenn das eine härtere Landung bedeutet.

Not windshear he was too far down the very short Corfu runway to land we landed at Corfu hundreds of times he was too high on his approach
