You blame an innocent child that they have killed everyone in the underground. When in reality it was you, as the player who has forced Chara to kill everyone, made them choose to Erase or not, Destroy everything they had ever cared about when they did exist. You made Chara kill everyone. Including their Best Friend. Now who's the real monster here. How cruel are you to blame a child for all of your own doing when in reality they have done nothing wrong...?
It's so sad that most people blame Chara for destroying the Underground, even though it was the player themselves that made the decision to commit genocide. ;~;

I can understand if people don't like or even hate Chara, they wantet to kill 6 humans and got Asriel killed (even if that wasn't part of the plan) yet I don't think Chara is just evil, just as they are not just good, no Undertale character is flawless or completly innocent, everyone has their dark side and everyone has a happy and cheerful side, even Chara or Flowey.
*This is only my opinion* : There is absolutely NO sign of anyone, even Chara, knowing about "PLAYER" throughout the whole game, all 3 routes. Chara DOES mention "HP, ATK, DEF, XP, LV" at the end of the genocide route, but nothing of "PLAYER" . So personally, I think breaking the 4th wall never happens in Undertale, stats are a real thing. Breaking the 4th wall would be knowing "PLAYER" was a thing.

When Chara said "I am the Demon who comes when You call its name" I realised that the quote hinted at symptoms of depression, think about it, when we are depressed we tend to blame ourselves, an example would be that Chara, as a ghost, could not stop you from killing their loved ones, and as Chara is connected to Frisk, they share stats, most importantly LOVE. all the LOVE flowed into Chara and is the reason why they became hellbent on erasing the world, through LOVE, you taught them that the sole purpose of their resurrection was power, and because of that, they feel betrayed when you say no to erasing the world, because they are confused as the whole time they were convinced by you that their only purpose was power. It's kind of sad really, and at multiple times during the last moments of the game before the erasure, Chara, before they kill Flowey, hesitated, giving us as the player one last chance to exit the "game" and to preserve the happy endings. Chara's hesitation of killing Flowey is their final act of desperation before leaving the Underground empty (Mostly). this song kind of tells us how Chara felt, their sadness, anger, and hopelessness. There now, you make it sound like the player is solely responsible for corrupting innocent little Chara. Lemme ask you this, then: What sort of child comes up with a plan that involves their suicide and the deaths of six other random people, with the predicted end result being the extinction of all humankind? They were very messed up from the start. It's not for nothing that the default option in every battle is FIGHT. The implication is that if the player wasn't there, the results wouldn't have been all that different. A Genocide route just means we turned down the opportunity to change things for the better. That's not to say they're just inherently evil, but they're not a victim in all this. They're our partner in crime. And a backstabber to boot.
Their family _was_ happy. But they weren't, and that meant it wasn't good enough. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. And no, the plan from the start was to collect souls from the humans, which is only possible by killing them. Or what, were they gonna wait around for some to die from natural causes? Why would they, if they were planning to make Asriel destroy them all anyway? When you're willing to kill others (and yourself!) to get what you want and do not even consider how those close to you feel about it-- not to mention, Asriel mentions a severe case of misanthropy... It doesn't paint a pretty picture. Like I said, kid's messed up. And let's not forget, Chara's the one providing the narration. "You feel your sins crawling on your back"? Coming from them, that sounds a lot like projecting. Being unable to acknowledge your own guilt and instead blaming it all on someone else... Not a nice thing to do in my book.
I like how this song can be taken as a soothing lullaby, a calming farewell to a fallen comrade, or the return of an ally that isn't quite themselves anymore.
Chara wasn't always a demon. Once, she was a child. A small child with, 'a glint of hope in her eyes.' She wanted to save her family. She wanted to thank them by freeing them from their prison. It was a mistake which cost her and her brother their lives. She split up her family, caused monsters to be farther from peace then ever, and, in her mind, murdered her best friend. Then you called her name. You called her to assist you in your goal, using sheer determination. You rose her up. She woke up confused and soulless. She wondered why she had been reborn. She wondered why she was back home... She wondered what she had done. And, you taught her her purpose of reincarnation. Over the course of your save file, you corrupted her. You taught her hate, rage, fear, and most of all, power. You could have saved her. You could have given her a happy ending. You could have saved every monster, every soul, along with Chara's. But instead, you wanted to wipe them out. You corrupted Chara. You twisted her heart and soul. Thing is, she's not the demon the player is. It's not her fault,or her decision it's yours. You are in control of Frisk and in turn Chara. She made the monsters her friends and you kill of of them. She's been dead long enough for six others to die and you/Frisk use her soul and corrupt it. She wanted to save them and YOU kill them for what, curiosity,boardom,fun? I've always loved Chara's character - The first human to ever fall into the underground, the one who became best friends with the young prince and was adopted by the king and queen Chara wasn't evil - never was never will be - The game was all about choice - our choice. Our choices shaped the world we explored, the characters we met. How they reacted to us. Even if we don't notice it - it was Chara who was narrating for us, We see that in the no mercy run. Chara was a young child when they fell into the underground - and was only about Frisk's age when they "fell down" to help Asriel We - the player - come in, if we chose to show Mercy, Chara is shown good, If we chose to kill, Chara then believes that's how the world is All throughout Genocide - we have the choice of going back, Reset and retry. Even at the end with Flowey - you've got one final chance. But most players blame Chara - say they were evil. But what about their character would lead you to believe that? Once - a young child fell into the underground for "not very nice" reasons. They were found by Asriel - and were adopted by the king and queen. Its clear from the little we were shown that Chara was very happy with the Dreemurr family, and that they loved them in return. Chara was a child - a child easily shaped by the world around them. They're only "evil" if the world around them shows them more dark than light. Remember - Toriel was Chara's mother, Asgore their father, And Asriel - even when a flower and souless - was still their best friend, their brother. "Your best friend" That's the title of Flowey's song - Asriel always calls to Chara, uncaring that Frisk and Chara were different and he saw Chara "fall down" He cared - They cared. In the genocide route, Chara hesitates to kill Flowey, but YOU push her/him to kill him. Chara literally hates you for killing people. Austrian Bish 1. Chara didn't sacrifice himself for the monsters disinterestedly, and Asriel didn't control their combined body. The first fallen human from the very beginning after the absorption of the soul controlled the actions, took his own body, crossed the barrier and came to the center of the village. Not Asriel. Chara specifically wanted to provoke people to attack first, so he could hide behind self-defense. Otherwise, why did he come to the center of the village with his dead body? This is ridiculous. Asriel himself talks about this in the end of a true pacifist. 2. Chara didn't want to not kill Flowey (Asriel). He simply stood and listened to him, and then, without the desire of the player, he himself began to strike when he heard Asriel's voice. At that time, he hated him, so did so. Sans, Asgore and Flowey (Asriel) aren't killed by the player’s hand, but by Chara’s. 3. And to make monsters suffer in a post-genocide pacifist isn't a lesson for the player, but another ruined life for monsters. Chara wanted only power again and destroy humanity. In the end, he himself said that he realized the meaning of his reincarnation.

Chara is portrayed as this demon who corrupts you and later wants you to erase the world with her. Nobody bothers to look deeper into Chara's situation. If Chara lived with the monsters and never had a thought of killing them before, why would she now? Why would she want to erase the world, when she never had a thought of doing this action back then? The answer is simple. Frisk, or, the player. Chara never chose anything. Not once in the gameplay did you see Chara doing anything to change the path you took before the end. Chara had no choice. She was forced to experience everything that the player did to everyone she loved and trusted. The player chooses to blame it all on Chara, when really, Chara was innocent. The player shows Chara power. The player shows Chara that mercy isn't an option. People learn. People follow. Chara was following your actions and followed what the player taught her. _Why do you feel the need to blame it all on someone who did nothing?_

I remember listening to this on repeat for hours as I went to sleep I remember wishing to play the game again. Meet my friends again. I remember imagining myself in Frisk’s shoes as I played I remember the drawings and the laughs I had of each character I remember how I would talk and ramble about undertale to all of my friends And I remember how this game is the reason I am who I am today. I don’t think it matters what happens in the future, or how hard it may get. This story has given me memories, and I will strike back anything that stands in my way. It wasn't Frisk. It wasn't Chara. It was the player. The player controls Frisk, who will always do as you wish. They wanted to name Frisk whatever they want, but in reality, they named who's supposed to be Chara. They named the first human. The first human was awakened with the determination of Frisk's soul, and so they have accompanied Frisk through everything, being taught what life looks like and what they live for. Chara was just a confused child. When you made Frisk do genocide, of course Frisk had no other choice. Frisk is the pacifist that's happy if you have them go with pacifist, however, they cannot stop you from using them to commiting genocide, thus, Chara takes control just to help, because they believed that's what they are made for. That's what they are. A demon that comes when you call its name. Chara did nothing wrong. They just wanted to help accomplish your goals, and you are using Frisk's body. Frisk nor Chara is not the one in control, you are. You're the one who would choose to fight or show mercy. The Underground is yours. Kill it or save it!? Or will you leave it? Everyone is talking about if Chara is the one who is responsible for the genoside. In my opinion, yes, but no. Let me explain. Undertale has a very wibbly-wobbly explanation of time-space thing. It is all about player jumping between timelines and stuff. So I think we dont just influence only now and the future, but alongside the past too. That means, yes, they are guilty in genoside. lullaby? it more or less feels like a revenged ending for undertale, done by Chara post genocide. Intro: Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS. ... One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell. Many years later... ... MT. Ebott. 201X. Legends say that those who climb the mountain never return. *after a few millennia of being in a mountain.. *A human fell down the mountain, for an unhappy reason *They tripped over a vine. *And landed on a grassy cover below the barrier. *They called for help.. *A young boss monster by the name of Asriel found the fallen child. *Asriel became good friends with Chara, and Chara was adopted into the Dreemurr family. *Eventually, Asriel and Chara developed a plan to free monster kind. *Asriel would have to Absorb Chara's soul and head to the surface to collect six more souls. *And Chara would stage a suicide to allow asriel to absorb her soul. *But...things didn't go according to plan. *The humans attacked Asriel/Chara, and Chara kept trying to get Asriel to defend himself.. *In the end.. the plan had failed, and Asriel entered the throne room... *He then dusted after laying Chara in Asgores Garden. *This drove Asgore with anger, as he then swore to exterminate humanity after getting to the Surface. *Many years pass, and 6 other humans had fallen down, all faced the same fate. *Eventually the 7th fell down, awakening what was left of the first human. *The 7th fallen human, known as frisk seemed pretty nice. *But as time went on, she completed the pacifist ending. *After completing the pacifist ending, frisk grew bored...and reset the timeline, beginning the genocide path. *The first human was then gaining the LOVE and EXP frisk had grinded. *But..Chara still had her emotions. *Chara had watched frisk kill her loved ones just for fun, eventually.. *Chara grew sick of watching it. *She organized a plan to think that she was on her side, only to be brought down the same way frisk killed all the monsters.. *The plan succeeded, but chara took frisks soul to punish them for killing her loved ones. *But, even without a soul, it Didn't stop Frisk from repeating the Genocide route. *after a few repeats of the route, Chara suggested a new route, but frisk declined. *Chara would again be forced to watch her friends and family she loved so dearly die...Over, over, and over again. *Chara could not take this anymore, so she decided to intervene to save her father. *However, frisk persisted, and decided to kill chara first. *Chara would try as best as she can to keep fighting. *But frisk eventually found a way to beat her. *Chara was defeated and not only took a lethal blow.. *She could no longer use determination, She was bleeding determination from the final attack.. *Chara would die a second time, only for a piece of chara to remain with frisk through out other timelines.. *Chara, like gaster.. had finally been erased, depressed, broken, and slowly being forgotten. *And then blamed by everyone for the crimes.. *Eventually, chara found one way to end frisk, she had an age old save file. *In the last fight, she was wounded again, but she loaded the file after finishing frisk off. *Chara's goal was now completed. *She lived her last few minutes with asriel and the dreemurr family. *but Eventually, she died from her wounds. *Now...she is nothing but a memory...for now *She died saving the timeline, a forgotten Hero.. *almost as if she followed a similar route as Gaster, but its rude to talk about those who are Listening =)

It had been confusing at first, when their body didn't turn to dust, so for a while, Toriel and Asgore refused to believe their child was dead. Asriel sniffles, wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his suit. "I'm sorry, Chara," he whispers quietly enough for his parents not to hear him, his voice scratchy. He looks into the open casket, sees his sibling, his best friend, his _only_ friend, lying still, too still, their skin too pale, their eyes shut in an almost serene expression. "This wasn't a good plan. I should've stopped you, I should've . . ." He picks up one of their hands, folded on their chest, and holds it in his, squeezing it tight. The dam breaks, and hot tears stream down his face, staining his fur. He gulps for air, finding it hard to breathe as he breaks down into sobs. _"Please wake up."_ But Asriel knows better. They're never going to wake up. Asgore places a gentle hand on his shoulder and guides him back to where the remainder of the Dreemurr family sits. He takes a deep, shaky breath, regaining his composure, thinking back to the jar containing the glowing red SOUL hidden under his sibling's bed. He knows it's a bad idea. Oh yeah I get a slightly creepy vibe from this, but I have actually been using it to get to sleep cause yeah, I have insomnia and its hard for me to get to sleep.
You know what's stunning about this song? Not only does it carry so much emotion, it sounds like something I would play at a memory. (I have different ways of mourning. Instead of the typical grief, I feel different emotions. I pray to the moon on the first full moon after their death and ask the stars for a good placement in the sky for the one I lost. Tears are almost never shed because I feel like dying is ok. I see it as a happy thing because the person gets to move on to live in the stars or reincarnate.) A memory is an event where I play music boxes and remember the ones I've lost while laying in the moonlight. I often pray to the stars and moon during this as well.
Honestly, I imagine this as a flowerfell frisk theme. It’s haunting melody and the sorrow emotion it radiates while still keeping a light, airy and elegant tone is the embodiment of the tragedy withheld within that AU.

Ok all the shitty rp aside my ex died 3 years ago and this was the song I listened to right before I found out. I connect so increadibly many emotions with this song and tear up listening to it immediately. I’ve rarely went to touch it but whenever I do everything comes back to me. In a weird way it’s the only outlet I have for this, as I neither talk about it to many nor attend any therapy currently but listening to this again shows me how much the past can catch up on you if you aren’t willing to forgive yourself and forget someone when you really should. I can understand if people don't like or even hate Chara, they wantet to kill 6 humans and got Asriel killed (even if that wasn't part of the plan) yet I don't think Chara is just evil, just as they are not just good, no Undertale character is flawless or completly innocent, everyone has their dark side and everyone has a happy and cheerful side, even Chara or Flowey.
*This is only my opinion* : There is absolutely NO sign of anyone, even Chara, knowing about "PLAYER" throughout the whole game, all 3 routes. Chara DOES mention "HP, ATK, DEF, XP, LV" at the end of the genocide route, but nothing of "PLAYER" . So personally, I think breaking the 4th wall never happens in Undertale, stats are a real thing. Breaking the 4th wall would be knowing "PLAYER" was a thing.

When Chara said "I am the Demon who comes when You call its name" I realised that the quote hinted at symptoms of depression, think about it, when we are depressed we tend to blame ourselves, an example would be that Chara, as a ghost, could not stop you from killing their loved ones, and as Chara is connected to Frisk, they share stats, most importantly LOVE. all the LOVE flowed into Chara and is the reason why they became hellbent on erasing the world, through LOVE, you taught them that the sole purpose of their resurrection was power, and because of that, they feel betrayed when you say no to erasing the world, because they are confused as the whole time they were convinced by you that their only purpose was power. It's kind of sad really, and at multiple times during the last moments of the game before the erasure, Chara, before they kill Flowey, hesitated, giving us as the player one last chance to exit the "game" and to preserve the happy endings. Chara's hesitation of killing Flowey is their final act of desperation before leaving the Underground empty (Mostly). this song kind of tells us how Chara felt, their sadness, anger, and hopelessness.

There now, you make it sound like the player is solely responsible for corrupting innocent little Chara. Lemme ask you this, then: What sort of child comes up with a plan that involves their suicide and the deaths of six other random people, with the predicted end result being the extinction of all humankind? They were very messed up from the start. It's not for nothing that the default option in every battle is FIGHT. The implication is that if the player wasn't there, the results wouldn't have been all that different. A Genocide route just means we turned down the opportunity to change things for the better.
That's not to say they're just inherently evil, but they're not a victim in all this. They're our partner in crime. And a backstabber to boot.
Their family _was_ happy. But they weren't, and that meant it wasn't good enough. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. And no, the plan from the start was to collect souls from the humans, which is only possible by killing them. Or what, were they gonna wait around for some to die from natural causes? Why would they, if they were planning to make Asriel destroy them all anyway? When you're willing to kill others (and yourself!) to get what you want and do not even consider how those close to you feel about it-- not to mention, Asriel mentions a severe case of misanthropy... It doesn't paint a pretty picture. Like I said, kid's messed up.
And let's not forget, Chara's the one providing the narration. "You feel your sins crawling on your back"? Coming from them, that sounds a lot like projecting. Being unable to acknowledge your own guilt and instead blaming it all on someone else... Not a nice thing to do in my book.

I've always loved Chara's character -
The first human to ever fall into the underground, the one who became best friends with the young prince and was adopted by the king and queen
Chara wasn't evil - never was never will be -
The game was all about choice - our choice.
Our choices shaped the world we explored, the characters we met.
How they reacted to us.
Even if we don't notice it - it was Chara who was narrating for us,
We see that in the no mercy run.
Chara was a young child when they fell into the underground - and was only about Frisk's age when they "fell down" to help Asriel
We - the player - come in, if we chose to show Mercy, Chara is shown good,
If we chose to kill, Chara then believes that's how the world is
All throughout Genocide - we have the choice of going back, Reset and retry.
Even at the end with Flowey - you've got one final chance.
But most players blame Chara - say they were evil.
But what about their character would lead you to believe that?
Once - a young child fell into the underground for "not very nice" reasons.
They were found by Asriel - and were adopted by the king and queen.
Its clear from the little we were shown that Chara was very happy with the Dreemurr family, and that they loved them in return.
Chara was a child - a child easily shaped by the world around them.
They're only "evil" if the world around them shows them more dark than light.
Remember -
Toriel was Chara's mother,
Asgore their father,
And Asriel - even when a flower and souless - was still their best friend, their brother.

That's the title of Flowey's song -
Asriel always calls to Chara, uncaring that Frisk and Chara were different and he saw Chara "fall down"

1. Chara didn't sacrifice himself for the monsters disinterestedly, and Asriel didn't control their combined body. The first fallen human from the very beginning after the absorption of the soul controlled the actions, took his own body, crossed the barrier and came to the center of the village. Not Asriel. Chara specifically wanted to provoke people to attack first, so he could hide behind self-defense. Otherwise, why did he come to the center of the village with his dead body? This is ridiculous. Asriel himself talks about this in the end of a true pacifist.
2. Chara didn't want to not kill Flowey (Asriel). He simply stood and listened to him, and then, without the desire of the player, he himself began to strike when he heard Asriel's voice. At that time, he hated him, so did so. Sans, Asgore and Flowey (Asriel) aren't killed by the player’s hand, but by Chara’s.
3. And to make monsters suffer in a post-genocide pacifist isn't a lesson for the player, but another ruined life for monsters. Chara wanted only power again and destroy humanity. In the end, he himself said that he realized the meaning of his reincarnation.

Chara is portrayed as this demon who corrupts you and later wants you to erase the world with her.
Nobody bothers to look deeper into Chara's situation. If Chara lived with the monsters and never had a thought of killing them before, why would she now? Why would she want to erase the world, when she never had a thought of doing this action back then? The answer is simple. Frisk, or, the player.
Chara never chose anything. Not once in the gameplay did you see Chara doing anything to change the path you took before the end. Chara had no choice. She was forced to experience everything that the player did to everyone she loved and trusted. The player chooses to blame it all on Chara, when really, Chara was innocent.
The player shows Chara power. The player shows Chara that mercy isn't an option. People learn. People follow. Chara was following your actions and followed what the player taught her.

It was the player.
The player controls Frisk, who will always do as you wish. They wanted to name Frisk whatever they want, but in reality, they named who's supposed to be Chara. They named the first human. The first human was awakened with the determination of Frisk's soul, and so they have accompanied Frisk through everything, being taught what life looks like and what they live for. Chara was just a confused child. When you made Frisk do genocide, of course Frisk had no other choice. Frisk is the pacifist that's happy if you have them go with pacifist, however, they cannot stop you from using them to commiting genocide, thus, Chara takes control just to help, because they believed that's what they are made for. That's what they are.
A demon that comes when you call its name.
Chara did nothing wrong. They just wanted to help accomplish your goals, and you are using Frisk's body. Frisk nor Chara is not the one in control, you are.
You're the one who would choose to fight or show mercy.
The Underground is yours.

Everyone is talking about if Chara is the one who is responsible for the genoside. In my opinion, yes, but no. Let me explain.
Undertale has a very wibbly-wobbly explanation of time-space thing. It is all about player jumping between timelines and stuff. So I think we dont just influence only now and the future, but alongside the past too. That means, yes, they are guilty in genoside. But yes, they are as pure as frisk in pacifist route. It all depends on you, and always will.

*Asriel became good friends with Chara, and Chara was adopted into the Dreemurr family.
*Eventually, Asriel and Chara developed a plan to free monster kind.
*Asriel would have to Absorb Chara's soul and head to the surface to collect six more souls.
*And Chara would stage a suicide to allow asriel to absorb her soul.
*But...things didn't go according to plan.
*The humans attacked Asriel/Chara, and Chara kept trying to get Asriel to defend himself..
*In the end.. the plan had failed, and Asriel entered the throne room...
*He then dusted after laying Chara in Asgores Garden.
*This drove Asgore with anger, as he then swore to exterminate humanity after getting to the Surface.
*Many years pass, and 6 other humans had fallen down, all faced the same fate.
*Eventually the 7th fell down, awakening what was left of the first human.
*The 7th fallen human, known as frisk seemed pretty nice.
*But as time went on, she completed the pacifist ending.
*After completing the pacifist ending, frisk grew bored...and reset the timeline, beginning the genocide path.
*The first human was then gaining the LOVE and EXP frisk had grinded.
*But..Chara still had her emotions.
*Chara had watched frisk kill her loved ones just for fun, eventually..
*Chara grew sick of watching it.
*She organized a plan to think that she was on her side, only to be brought down the same way frisk killed all the monsters..
*The plan succeeded, but chara took frisks soul to punish them for killing her loved ones.
*But, even without a soul, it Didn't stop Frisk from repeating the Genocide route.
*after a few repeats of the route, Chara suggested a new route, but frisk declined.
*Chara would again be forced to watch her friends and family she loved so dearly die...Over, over, and over again.
*Chara could not take this anymore, so she decided to intervene to save her father.
*However, frisk persisted, and decided to kill chara first.
*Chara would try as best as she can to keep fighting.
*But frisk eventually found a way to beat her.
*Chara was defeated and not only took a lethal blow..
*She could no longer use determination, She was bleeding determination from the final attack..
*Chara would die a second time, only for a piece of chara to remain with frisk through out other timelines..
*Chara, like gaster.. had finally been erased, depressed, broken, and slowly being forgotten.
*And then blamed by everyone for the crimes..
*Eventually, chara found one way to end frisk, she had an age old save file.
*In the last fight, she was wounded again, but she loaded the file after finishing frisk off.
*Chara's goal was now completed.
*She lived her last few minutes with asriel and the dreemurr family.
*but Eventually, she died from her wounds.
*Now...she is nothing but a memory...for now
*She died saving the timeline, a forgotten Hero..
*almost as if she followed a similar route as Gaster, but its rude to talk about those who are Listening =)

Despite Chara's status as a member of the royal family, hardly anybody was invited; just their parents, their brother, and a few family friends. It had been confusing at first, when their body didn't turn to dust, so for a while, Toriel and Asgore refused to believe their child was dead.
Asriel sniffles, wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his suit. "I'm sorry, Chara," he whispers quietly enough for his parents not to hear him, his voice scratchy. He looks into the open casket, sees his sibling, his best friend, his _only_ friend, lying still, too still, their skin too pale, their eyes shut in an almost serene expression. "This wasn't a good plan. I should've stopped you, I should've . . ." He picks up one of their hands, folded on their chest, and holds it in his, squeezing it tight. The dam breaks, and hot tears stream down his face, staining his fur. He gulps for air, finding it hard to breathe as he breaks down into sobs.
_"Please wake up."_
But Asriel knows better. They're never going to wake up. Asgore places a gentle hand on his shoulder and guides him back to where the remainder of the Dreemurr family sits. He takes a deep, shaky breath, regaining his composure, thinking back to the jar containing the glowing red SOUL hidden under his sibling's bed.
He knows it's a bad idea. Quite frankly, he's terrified.
But one thought remains, shoving down any rational thought he once had on the situation:
_Chara can't die for nothing._

You know what's stunning about this song? Not only does it carry so much emotion, it sounds like something I would play at a memory. (I have different ways of mourning. Instead of the typical grief, I feel different emotions. I pray to the moon on the first full moon after their death and ask the stars for a good placement in the sky for the one I lost. Tears are almost never shed because I feel like dying is ok. I see it as a happy thing because the person gets to move on to live in the stars or reincarnate.) A memory is an event where I play music boxes and remember the ones I've lost while laying in the moonlight. I often pray to the stars and moon during this as well.

Ok all the shitty rp aside my ex died 3 years ago and this was the song I listened to right before I found out. I connect so increadibly many emotions with this song and tear up listening to it immediately. I’ve rarely went to touch it but whenever I do everything comes back to me. In a weird way it’s the only outlet I have for this, as I neither talk about it to many nor attend any therapy currently but listening to this again shows me how much the past can catch up on you if you aren’t willing to forgive yourself and forget someone when you really should.
