Excellent video and I have now updated my software to the latest. Great to see the trusty M2 that I still have and use. In fact, that reminds me I need to try and enter that comp to be in with a chance for m4 pro. Keep up the good work Gavin and it's brilliant you still use the m2. Fantastic channel .

If u don't use the batteries or store them at incorrect level u lose it.
Sold my mini 2 I'm upset when I see this it was truly capable and worth so much....
But the mini 3 pro is truly something else

Interesting video.
Trying for some time to find the update explanations, what's done. Not found them yet. Due to the 120 limit mess for the DJI Mini 3 pro, those updates are not accepted.
Why update when the drone does what I ask it to do?
The same goes for the Mavic 3 pro.
Thanks for including the Mini 2. Since i lost my Air 2S due to my incompetency my Mini 2 is the only drone I have.

Of course! still love the Mini 2, I don't think i expressed it as much as I wanted to in the video but its such a pleasure, i can just hot shoe that thing in there then make last minute changes without worrying about the over protective OA! Just like my cover banner for youtube, I can fly like Maverick haha

There is always a risk of bricking the drone when flashing new software. I have only updated my old mini2 once when I bought it. It works great and as long as I don't miss any features I see no reason whatsoever to keep updating. You can get new functions, but it can also happen that you get rid of things in the background. In any case, it is good that there are those who test for us so that you know how it works if you need to upgrade the software for some reason.

What I did note was that on the mini 2 my gimbal setting had changed but otherwise all seems good. As always, thank you Gavin.

When i uploaded the latest firmware on my mini 3 pro and mavic 3 pro I also updated fly safe data.
this downed loaded ok but it has now put a Enchanced Warning Zone all the way from Scarborough to Withensea along this coast.
This just includes Driffield where i live. When I go to the map on my RC Pro and RC controllers this aera show up in a light orange.
My question is what is this warning zone for ? I have checked my map and do not see any in other parts of the country.
Would you kindly look into this and let me know any info you have.

Maybe 360 pano sphere on number 4 drone is no longer blurry? This is the big feature i always use on past drones and was very disappointed with number 4.
One of my settings is off and my Dji Mini 3 pro will not go above 100 feet. I have changed max altitude many times and it will not save
Heads up, took my mini 3 pro yesterday for 3 flights and the app crashed multiple times on this version unlike the previous version I was using (1.12.4) .
Of course nothing for the older drones! DJI wants you to spend all your money! Buy the Mini 4 Pro so your Mini 3 Pro can just dry rot! I disagree! My Mini 3 Pro will be in use for a while! LOL!

Gavin, is it worth taking the A2 CofC, what are the benefits of getting it?
Hi David, Happy new year, personally - no, its ideal for knowledge I guess but other than that I see no real value. Especially with the Mini drones :)
You can fly a max 500g (originally C1 class at max 900g) drone in in A1 subcategory up to Jan 1st 2026 but must have CofC.
Maybe the A2 sub category drones are pushed down into the A3 subcategory after Jan 2026 (fly 50m away from people and 150m away from buildings in all areas) and a CofC isn't required for this category so watch this space...

Are you sure this 1.12.6 is for the mini 4 pro, I'm unable to update to it from 1.12.4 and have spoken to DJI support and they say .4 is the correct one to use on RS 2 / mini4 pro
I am 100% sure, I believe you may be confusing the app version with the firmware versions

Mini 2 and Pro Platinum.
Just a note, the ECO mode already showed for the Mini 4 Pro. I noticed it the very first day I got it in early December - it was on the table and I was setting it up. Nice to see the Mini 2, I still have mine as well!
Yes, that’s why I specifically said it’s not new but the first time it’s ever popped up for me ☺️ it seems popular that I used the mini 2 and keeping the the old girl flying 👍

hi matey..ive got samsung galaxy a1 ive tried endless times to get the flyapp had no luck but my mrs who has exact same phone can download.? any advice..? ive cut off some old apps aswell and permissions..still no luck 😢😢

There’s no such things as “just a high school teacher”! What you go through to impart knowledge to young people is nothing short of being a Super Hero without a cape! Great content, and I do like the question/answer format. As a super-heavy lift C-5 Flight Engineer, air flows are critical. We have to help the pilots constantly weather and flight conditions. (We have to because we’re 1/10 of a second behind them if we don’t!) Already doing my 107, but there’s nothing like staying fresh, and learning more about flying! Thanks for great posts!🇺🇸

Spot on as always Gavin, have you noticed that the flight restrictions have been reduced in the app?
I noticed that certainly - I was going to mention it but I try leave the drone rules and restrictions videos to Sean @geeksvana and Ian in London haha
The newest update was to the geo locking and maps
it was was there before and not tied to a map update, the flysafe update is what affects the geo zones
