Just watching this video was making me feel cold. I can imagine how you felt with your hands in that freezing water. You guys picked another beautiful stream to fish at.
Very nice & even at 67 years young enjoy times like that, cold or not,all you needed with tacos was beans yummy,I not sure if you do or not,but I never leave my rods out,had a friend wake up to a missing rod, found it later & well something chewed the cork off so lesson learned 😮🤙🇺🇸
Tacos around a fire 🔥 something you cannot beat! But ooh wow good to know, I’ll have to bring my rod into my tent at night next time 😅 coyotes yipping all night long too…
Another great video 👍 I know you don’t share exact locations but as someone who’s trying to get into fishing as much as I can and getting my kids into it too and teaching them how to be respectful and responsible when out there would you be alright just sharing a general area of where in Idaho you usually fish? Even just saying the northern or eastern part is fine with me I’m happy to discover the creeks and rivers myself. Regardless thanks for the vid and tight lines!
I know what you mean about Bull Trout! I gave up my Western style fly fishing gear for Tenkara quite a few years ago and never looked back! I mainly fish small creeks here in Southern Idaho and the Stanley Basin. I catch Bull Trout once in awhile but my bucket list includes landing a 16" plus Bull on Tenkara gear! Keep the videos coming! Stay safe out there!
That sounds awesome! I’ve fished tenkara a time or two, however kept going back to my fly rod. They are definitely fun to fish, and landed a bigger bull would be a RUSH! 😄 best of luck to you, thanks so much!!
@@FireflyFishing wooo 3 wt is it not flimsy how big flies do you cast ? or is it not like 1 hand 3wt ? seems to be good size on the fish way im asking is i'm interested of trout spey rood and its sems redington is a good rood for the money
NICE to see you tossing the two-handed rod on this big water (I do also...). As a certified trout bum who's out there 12 months out of the year, and who has accidentally caught a char from time to time, what am I missing? I have a friend at work who's crazy for bullies, but other than their size (and that they eat streamers aggressively) - what is the draw (for you)? ☮ from North Idaho.
It’s the journey of the fish and the places they live/migrate too. They are beautiful, aggressive and elusive! I’m crazy about trout in general don’t get me wrong by they hold a special place in my heart. Like steelhead, cutthroat trout you mean it! 😄 love them all!
That first rainbow was a beauty very nice.
Awesome video as always bro! Awesome to see the claymore getting after it! Keep swinging!
Thanks so much bro! Loving the stick and can’t wait to keep at it. Let’s stay connected 👍
Love when you include the whole trip. Food, company, and fishing looks 👍
It’s a good time out there!
Man! this pumps me up! I'm so excited to get out there and camp in the cold and fish. Also from Idaho so I share the stoke!

Nice. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks for watching!
Man that looked fun!! I’d love to do something like that eventually! Amazing video!
It's a blast! I hope you can make it happen!
Need more of this, helps me get over this cabin fever… 👍
I’ll be sure to film some more soon! 😄
I'm 48 i can't handle cold days like this! Even here in las vegas can't handle below 30s ! I still would love to fish your beautiful state!
Ooh the cold sucks, I just make it look fun I guess.. 😅 the fire was needed to warm up!
Great vid!
Thank you so much!

Same here. All tenkara now. I'm in Eagle. We should get together and hit some water!
the Rodzilla from Wasatch is supposedly rated up to 20 pound test line fwiw! i have one, it’s a broom handle but can handle any size fish!

Best of luck to you!! They are super fun, like most trout. Tight lines 🙌
Aren't you going eat that fish they're really good that time of year

The first rule of the Bull Trout club is…
Long Ads, too much "Dude" and "Dog" otherwise okay
