I wonder what would her child be doing right now if He or She lived. You could see them listening to bedtime stories, seeing a puppy or little kitten for the first time. No words can describe the warmth one gets from seeing a child's face when they have just seen something wonderful for there first time. Have you seen the joyful wonder on a child's face when they see a beautiful flower garden, or when they see the arrival of a friend and playmate. The excitement of a child anticipating arriving at a park or playground. They play in the warmth of the sunshine with a pleasant breeze blowing her hair across her little face. All these are multiplied if they are inspired by the shared excitement of siblings as each will have there own expectations, one will pick little flowers another will gather ordinary rocks that they somehow threw the magic of a child's excitement convinced you of there beauty as you begin to see the rocks through the eyes of a child. All children love to play at the edge of the water, to see little fish and frogs and the wonder of things that we as adults have not noticed for, time has stolen our patients and innocents. But a child takes your hand and through there expression and optimism can take you back, you will see the wonderful things that have long since been buried in your memory. Each and every child has that ability and the right to all that life has to experience. Each child is unique. You could have Ten children and no Two are the same, they may share some characteristics but each is there own irreplaceable individual and a wonder made in God's image. Please set aside your selfish character for the sake of your child. Yes you will loose sleep, change diapers, and have to love someone else more than you love yourself. If you choose to love this little miracle child you will not regret your choice and soon will shutter at the thought that you almost took the life of this beautiful little child, soon you will discover the most wonderful smile and laugh. A smile and laugh that is because You have made this helpless little person so happy and safe. You will read little books that teach values and lessons that will help them grow. The first day of school paints, colors, paste and pencils. Highschool graduation you know they will be gone soon, to college or military maybe a career. You are both proud and heavy hearted. You wonder if you have prepared them enough. You don't think so, what could you have done different. If only you had more time, if you could go back to when they were younger, to do it again but with the maturity and knowledge that you now have. They see in your face your concern and self judgement. Then they hug you and reassure you that you did great. You are the best mom a son or daughter could have ever wished for. Neither of you say anything for the lump in your throat and the tears in your eyes say it all. The love and bond that will last your whole life. But all that never happened, you choose to abort that little child.

New England is a northeastern region of the United States comprising the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. It's known for its Colonial past, Atlantic coastline, changing autumn foliage and forested mountains. Boston, Massachusetts, the region’s hub, pre-dates the American Revolution, and its Freedom Trail passes sites that were critical to the nation’s founding. ― Google

@@fidelcatsro6948 True, but even before that most manufacturing shifted to the midwest + Pennsylvania prior to out-of-country manufacturing.
New England was the backbone of America and the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution (and America itself, technically). While it is a shame that much of this manufacturing has fled out of country, New England produces highly skilled workers, leads the country in education, private and public research, finance, technology (specifically bio-tech), and Medicine. There is also still a surprising amount of manufacturing exports like industrial and commercial machinery (including computers and electronics), electrical equipment, transportation equipment and chemical manufacturing equipment.

The Arab Oil Embargo of 1973 was one nail in the coffin. That made heating oil prices skyrocket.

I know this is a historic creation but I think there is crucial context missing. New England was not empty when the first colonizers arrived, nor was transatlantic trade a simple morally neutral process. Worrying the people are wishing to return to this fairytale, no reality ever existed in this way.

Are you from New England at all? There is no part of history and no culture that hasn't had slavery involved, i mean who do you think makes your clothes. As a New Englander myself we hate slavery many of our families going back fought against it. And yes there were people living here of course. Many native americans were friends and some were enemies again nothing new in history. Where I'm "king philip" sat on a hill and watched the valley burn killing many settlers.
