- Hi guys! I'm back from my short solo trip to Tokyo and have a nice big ole video to show for it. I honestly only saw maybe a quarter? even less? of the city and no time ever feels like enough. But I hit my favorite spots, visited a few new places, and took it slow to just enjoy being able to walk around a city like this! I know when we travel we have to be aware that we are in someone else's country and we need to stay cool, but those girls were just plain rude. Leaving tokyo was probably the saddest thing I've ever done.
Tokyo was just my vide. I loved the endless exploring. I loved the big crowds. I loved meeting new people. Ahhhh
The endless exploring.. even as I grew tired of the extreme business of Tokyo life, I never grew tired of the endless tiny hidden areas that sometimes didn't have any major sights but are oh so charming.
And meeting and chatting with strangers is so easy in Japan, due to their curiosity. Tokyo is still one of my favourite cities to get lost in.
What drove me away was the superficiality of those interpersonal bonds, and people never having time for one another.. that and visa problems lol

Solo travelling is so empowering! Currently studying in Tokyo, and planning to take my time discovering the city's nook's and crannies.

It's so wonderful to see you enjoy your trip as much as you did, and dang this video seriously put such a huge smile on my face. Tokyo is my favourite city ever; I miss it so much but seeing it in the quintessential Cari style is truly so special and makes me wanna go back ASAP. I haven't been to a lot of these places (yet!) and it's a dream of mine to see Nakameguro in sakura season too. This vlog was seriously everything, thank you for documenting it all

As amazing as all the places are that you showed us in this video, seeing how you glowed with happiness after the meetup kinda brought tears to my eyes because that’s such a wonderful thing. I’ve been to Japan 5 times as a solo traveler. Japan has many restaurants and cafes that are solo friendly.
Seeing Tokyo in your vlog gives me so much artistic inspiration. I love to paint Japanese storefronts and architecture and sell prints though Etsy and Instagram. I’m excited for COVID to be over so that I can head out to Tokyo to load on up on inspo! Hope you’re doing well 💗

I actually got lost going there but locals were very kind to help me out. I love your videos, Cari! Can't wait for the next ones.

Ah, what a wonderful vlog. 😊 As always, I love your ability to find hidden treasures like these wonderful small streets with small shops and these beautiful decorations, that look like they would be located in a small town or village instead of a mega city like Tokyo. New to watching your channel, and absolutely loved this video!! I’m planning a trip to Japan in 2025 (originally because I wanted to save a lot to go for a month and not have to worry about money, and now it’s more of a necessity 😂) but ANYWAY you mentioned a lot how you didn’t know how some people can watch your channel and let me tell you, I’ve seen just about every japan video on RUclips in the last year that I’ve been planning this trip, and yours is definitely the most diverse and informative and entertaining as well! I hate those 5 minute videos where they basically just show skylines and don’t really tell anything else, so this was very refreshing! Many thanks and much love!
