UWM Police begin using body-worn cameras

Like many police departments across the country, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee police officers will begin wearing body-worn cameras. Cameras help officers perform their duties by recording their interactions with people during official police business and documenting evidence during investigations. They also increase transparency and public confidence.
As always, the top priority of UW-Milwaukee Police Department is safety. The body-worn cameras will provide another tool to help ensure that UWM remains a safe and secure environment in which to learn, live and work.
