Thank you sooooo much for posting this video! I'm attempting to hang some hooks on the side of an old strong metal desk. I suppose I should use the strongest ones because the desk metal is so much tougher than sheet metal. (I always thought sheet metal was strong, but I can see where one could bend it easily) Thanks so much for all the info!!! I never knew all the different types of screws out there!

Use the self tapping screws. They work best for what you are trying to do. They can help you at the hardware store to pick the best ones

    Hi Dusty
I have a pool gate made of aluminium the screw hole is losing.
How can I fix the hole in the gate without increasing the screw size to make it fit.
    Thank you

Put something in the hole (copper wire, zip tie whatever) then drive in fastener.

With that bit you can pull the collar down to hold the screw from kicking out

a standard 1/4 inch UNC cap screw is specified to have a length of 1.5 inches. the screw is to clamp 1/2 inch plate to a base plate. Is it too long or is it too short

You will need a metal stamping machine and a cutter and a coating machine and something to bake on the coating.

Nosey And how do u define a SCREW professional? Someone like you? Anyone with experience on something can put up a how to video. Not all so called professionals do good work, not all amateurs do bad work.
