Not officially in the Lake District as it's outside the National park. The Cumbrian coast is beautiful but gets overlooked as a holiday location. By the way, we quite regularly get steam trains coming up the railway here!!

Jamie, the next time you visit this place or a place next to the ocean, you should leave a camera on for the whole day/night to just have waves and the sounds. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Nethertown, it was lovely to meet you both! There used to be a shop, a pub, a hotel and a country club in Nethertown but they have all closed down. The beach houses were all originally built in the 50's mostly to house the workers building Sellafield. They then became holiday homes and have been improved and extended. There are now a few of us living in the beach houses full time, I moved here 6 years ago! In the summer the sunsets here are amazing and on a clear day you can see the Isle of Man and the Dumfries and Galloway coast line.

Wow. That must be the most magical and adventurous place I've seen over all your videos, Jamie. I wondered how was the easiest way to get down to the sea...step, so quick for a dip early in the morning run back up the beach, straight into hot tub😂😂😊Sherpa already gets a morning walk along the beach and a lovely wander around the village. His coat will be smelling of the sea when he gets home 😂🥰a truly wonderful retreat for you both. Sherpa is so thoughtful with the cake.
