So glad that Sherpa was able to get on the boat thanks to his quick thinking dad. Although he also looked happy to have his paws on solid land afterwords.

Sherpa looked a little bit uneasy at first but he’ll go anywhere(except spooky caves) as long as he’s with dad. I’m glad Jamie just relaxed and enjoyed himself so much, he needed that.

I just love Sherpa’s facial expressions they add to the endearment of him. He melts my heart. My favorite line in the video was “We need to have a boat named The Sherpa don’t we? Course it would probably sink.” 😂😂

@@SherpasDay My brother-in-law & his apprentice had to rescue one of his hire boats once, not far from Great Yarmouth. They took two separate boats, as from what the person hiring the boat had told them, he didn't think he'd be able to issue a temporary repair, to limp the hire boat back to the yard. When they got there, they found that the person hiring the boat hadn't been entirely honest. He hadn't broken down - he was sinking! It was a desperate race to tow it back to the yard before it sank completely. They didn't make it. Fortunately, they were near another boat yard, so were able to lift the sunken boat with their cranes!!

We lived on a boat for seven years with our three big dogs. Once they got their sea legs they loved it! They were retrievers and loved being on and in the water!
Jamie, you and Sherpa looked so nautical in your red life jackets. If a dog goes into the water it is also so much easier to get them out using the harness with a handle. 🚤 🐕🥰💕❤️👍

It's cool to see Sherpa's adventures...he sure got quiet on the boat, like, 'what are we doing, Dad?' I had a Husky/Chow that lived to be almost 15, he developed old-age diabetes. He was rough-and-tumble for most of his years, but those last couple of years he struggled to get around. I had to build him a ramp to get in the backseat of the car, he could no longer jump up into my truck. I also had to build him an outdoor elevator on our back deck, so he could get down to the yard to do his business. I'm glad you found a way for Sherpa to get in and out of the boat safely.

So cool you got to drive the boat. I would've been scared to. I love Sherpie's eyes. Because of Key's eye color, it's easier to see when he's having a million doggie thoughts, but with Sherpie's light-colored eyes, you have to really look to see him thinking and all his expressions.

How exciting for Sherpa to go on a boat! He seemed a bit unsure about it sometimes, but he mostly seemed to be enjoying the ride. When I saw all of the Peter Rabbit things for sale in the shop window, I figured you must still be in the Lake District, since that is where Beatrix Potter had her farm. It is beautiful there. Sherpa snoozing at the end of the day is always so sweet to see.

I am surprised though that the company didn't have any disability aids for wheelchair users, which could have helped Shiro. Even just a sling, so Jamie still took the weight at the front end, while a staff member took the weight the other. That way, Sherpa could still board, without the need to be carried.
