    I want an upgrade to why I started playing CoH1, I like to consider CoH2 a different game that was fun in it's own right, but CoH1 had me actually feeling like I am marching a squad through unexplored territory, the atmosphere, the eerie feeling, only hearing that iconic music, the sound effects of my squad marching, the rattling of ammo, weapons and their respective quotes reflecting the situation.
    Then I march into a double MG and the rattle of their fire, the sound they make, my squad screaming to me to get them the fuck out of there, that feeling is something I am after for years now. Where the experience is so immersive that I feel like that artillery strike was called down upon my house, shells flying and hitting obstructing my view and my units screaming at me my tanks yelling they are under AT fire and so on and so on.
    This is just one thing, that I think would do wonders, it is all down to sound design and atmosphere, it's war and I want it to feel like a war, and not like I am just ordering units around. They are making some changes to help bring that back but not enough imo.
    I got excited when I realized CoH3 will try to appease to CoH1 fans more, thinking I was getting the OG experience back. But I am still waiting.

    I agree with what you say, especially solving the problem of the delay between clicking and the player responding and adding the surrender feature.

    I would add replacing no-tech Call-ins. I'm still floored that Relic went out of their way to get rid of it in COH2 only to bring it back in COH3. A large part of the obnoxious Armored Company meta is the whole "stall with Motor Pool until Easy 8s" aspect of it but it also exists to a lesser extent with stalling for Panthers/Tiger with Wierbel spam and if they ever buff UK Heavy Armor I wouldn't be surprised if Churchill stalling becomes a thing. It's still stupid even if it's not as bad as the height of COH2 call-in meta.

      Hell no that’s part of the play, puting teching back will just make it not worth it, boring, and inaccessible as it’ll just arrive too late.

      @@pascalbourelier3463buddy the entire reason why call ins are broken is because of their absurd timing. All callins should be tied to tech and then must be built within their corresponding tech structure. The spammy panic click nature of call ins currently are cancer

    hear hear with the audio rework in particular. And don't forget the music where the variety is basically non-existant right now. The audio is indeed in dire need of some serious love!
    I have a feeling that the input lag will never be improved though :(

    I really want the battlegroup interface to be reworked, it's such a pain in the ass to use and I often forget to use CPs because of how badly implemented it is. I want to be able to toggle the interface with a key and have a centered interface instead of a tiny one to the sides.

      It’s good, actually CoH1 did better.
      Tank destroyer being unable to kill infantry is just bs.

    I've always felt like there was some sort of clunky feeling when I play this game but I could never really put into words what it was and could catch what it is. so glad it's not just me suffering from reponsiveness issues.

    The graphics still need a lot of work. Also, the tank acceleration change needs to be reverted. Tanks are like race cars now.

      @@AECoH I guess I'm more talking about details like explosions, smoke, projectiles, unit clarity, projectile collisions, etc. Icons and portraits also look low quality and inconsistent to me, even the new ones. But yeah, the graphics do look good in other areas it's not all bad.

    As someone who has hearing issues, I think it’s really important that the game improves the audio. I can turn done mostly everything except Voices and units will still get destroyed and say nothing or it’s quiet as a mouse basically. Firearms as well are way to quiet and lack the punch COH2 had.

    Pathing not bad?
    -vehicles phase each other when on the move
    -momentum movemnt should be turned off for casemates, it causes this 360 and other stupid stuff
    -they should add stances for vehicle movement:
    offroad to ignore roads and then keep road priority,
    momentum movement to prefer keep moving, rather than turn in place or stop and reverse, not making it the only default option
    -They should add other behaviors to units, nowadays all units are programmed to follow unit, when it gets out of range of ability / atack or whatever. Coh2 had 2 other behaviors:
    *ignore, which leads to finishing action no matter what, a bit like AT grenades in COH3, but if it worked, then if you are in range of ability which started, then it always finishes. It should help satchels.
    *cancel, which leads to not doing the thing, when it is not possible from a current position. AT guns should NOT move when target drives out of range or vision coz of smoke. All team weapons should be programed with cancel behavior, when they are set up...
    Completely lack of vision or bad management of human resources.

      A partial phasing, which would stop vehicles from moving through each other in choke points would be good enough for me.

      @@AECoHwith all the CoH1 game I watched from you, I’ve come to realize it did almost everything to perfection.
      Blocking an enemy vehicle (no phasing) just is part of gameplay, it should be a thing.
      I really hope realism takes over in the future, CoH3 doesn’t feel as real as it could in gameplay.

      ​@@ExValeFor Limitations of pathing are also a design and balance choice. Today's full phasing is just a lazy way to fix their badly programmed pathing.

    the solution for the PG should be
    DAK > Korps Grenadier (Grenadier chevron with palm tree)
    Weh > Panzer Grenadier
    for the gameplay wise, abit of balancing for all factions such as USF Mechanized , DAK small tank spam, Brit blobs , Wehm jaeger , and we good to go
    and removal of random bugs like team weapon retreat death at HQ

      Relic is lazy, they had a lot of devs and they used the same engine and even that the game was a failure... This just shows that studios doesn't need a lot of devs, they just need a few that actually work on the game and not in political agendas

    So Relic essentially removed the heavy tank class from CoH3, the teamgame community hates this, yet it's not even on a top 10 biggest issues list?

      it's an early-mid WW2 CoH game set in the Med... this isn't about 1v1 or 2v2 vs big team games please stop trying to make this all about that it's very tiring.
      We have tiger tanks the most famous heavy tank of the war, so they clearly haven't 'removed heavy tanks'.
      I predict we'll see expansion content with late war tanks in the future (just like with Coh1 and CoH2 which also didn't start with ultra heavies).

But even the better designed heavy tanks like Tiger, Churchill Crocodile, Pershing, Panther, Nashorn and the likes are either missing from CoH3 completely, limited to Singleplayer, or way too restricted to get in a normal match

    honestly leaderboards and these things dont belong in the game, they can be much better on a website than in engine and it dosnt make sense to rebuild something with a lot of effort which is much better suited on web frameworks

      agree, I have no trouble browsing in coh 3 stats. This is low priority. I think AE puts a lot of thought and there are some good ideas, but it would also help if there is a discussion of the urgent things, and the "good to have" things. For example, input delay is a big problem. Ultralight pathing is also a big problem. Audio rework as well. Replay mode, absolutely (the fact the replay submitter shows same color and in the left spoiled all replays for me). In-game leaderboard - not required.

    I'm still following the development closely, but admittedly my interest has shifted to titles like Gates of Hell, WARNO, Steel Division, and Broken Arrow. Let's face the facts - there are other strategy titles that not only get the basics right, but advance the genre forward in UI, design, and mechanics. COH1 was one of these titles. COH2 and COH3 are not.

      If you faced the facts you wouldn’t be comparing company of heroes, which is by far the most mechanically complex RTS out there, to the likes of steel division and any competitors of said franchise

      @@bro3217 Gates of Hell is far more mechanically complex than COH and there is no denying that. The fast paced nature of COH 3 leads to a higher skill ceiling tho.

    high score for map variety.......eehhhhhh, they should have roughly double the map pool size atm, honestly, and sitll no veto (4/10) even current maps need massaging, most are solid, some need a lot of work
    also, would like to see cool colers vs warm colors in the individual color schemes for teams (7/10)
    any modern rts badly needs reconnect capability
    this game needs more modes, ala COHO, enormous potential

    Not being able to look at the commandbranches or unit abilities on the right side of the screen during queue is crazy. Its so bad design really.

    I do not think they should at a surrender button. Too many people already leave team games when losing one unit I absolutely don't want to deal with a teamate spamming the surrender button at 10 mins in. People are always free to leave with zero penalty no need to punish players that want to stay

    A.E., why aren't u ever talking about visual FX? Audio and effects are inferior to previous titles. I'm speaking of explosions effect, ragdoll effects, projectiles impact, unit clarity, projectile collisions and smoke. It's dissapointing that u never talk about this, because this makes the game less cinematic, atmospheric and finally satisfying watching replays of you and coh3. Watching coh1 or coh2 is like watching a movie. Watching coh3 on the other hand is like watching a indie game or anything other than a Triple A game. More like a mobile game tbh.

    So really, no mentioned problem with light vehicles and inf spams that are dominating the fields atm? Also I don't understand why i can't change this horrible icon of devil's brigade, it looks awful. As for me we have 3 biggest problems: lack of content (especially BG), bad balance and really poor communication between community and relic. They are literally ignoring everyone, including you and other content creators...

    I’m the first that wants this game to succeed but how long has the game been out and you still can’t edit your basic profile card. There’s no objectives apart from the daily/weekly to make you wanna play more and why would you if there isn’t even a level system that rewards you for your time spent. The greed of the shop is awful too. Like why would I use my currency for just brown on only 1 unit i’m not even gonna zoom in wtf. Like don’t bring out CoH3 if its not at least up to par with CoH2. How tf do we still only have 3/4 commanders? 😂
