    Hello!! Just discovered your channel and it's amazing. thanks very much for your videos. One question: there are some effects that can't be saved in my favourite folder because "developer blocked the effect". One of them is Rotomatic. Any solution to that? THnkas very much!

      You cannot, unfortunately. That hack only works on effects that live in the Motion Templates folders, and a lot of the bigger third party companies use their own install apps that lock the plugins elsewhere. I'm hoping FCP will add a proper "favorites" folder soon!

    At 8:45, what do you press to delete an effect from a clip? Awesome tutorial, my workflow is gonna be so much smoother with custom short... command presets.

    To favourite locked Titles, I just open Finder using Reveal in Finder, then make a copy in my *Favourites titles folder. Quit and reopen FCP and there it is in *Favourites!

    Hi Jenn, how can I save a sound/audio clip that I detached from a video clip into like a favorites section or folder to use in a future project?

    • @JennJagerPro
      @JennJagerPro  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ok, this is a GREAT question. The answer, unfortunately, is that you can't. I have the same problem. What I have done is create a designated event for the elements I use frequently in my YT vids (like gfx, sfx and music) and then just drag that event into each new Library. Not the ideal solution but it's all we have.

    • @cschantz2165

      @@JennJagerPro Thank you for your reply, however, I'm still confused. How do I get the sound clip into that new event? It won't let me drag anything up past the timeline window.

    • @JennJagerPro
      @JennJagerPro  6 месяцев назад

      Ohhhh I see what you're saying. You'll need to export that clip on its own, and then bring it to your Event.

    • @cschantz2165
      @cschantz2165 6 месяцев назад

      @@JennJagerPro I tried that. I highlighted that specific 20 second clip and tried to export the audio file only, in mp3 form, but the whole hour long audio from the video was exported 🤦🏻‍♂️

    How do I delete/change name in my "save effect presets"?

    • @JennJagerPro
      @JennJagerPro  6 месяцев назад

      Do you mean after you've saved it? I would either go through the process again and rename it what you want, or right click the saved effect, reveal in Finder and name it there.

      @@JennJagerPro ....After I created a Category: " *Favorite" (like your video) in my effects, I spelled favorite incorrectly & unable to edit the name. I've right clicked "*Favorites" in the "save videos effects preset" and there was no drop down window to change anything. Also, Finder doesn't appear when I right click *Favorites in the Category. Thank You

    Hi Jenn! Sorry to bother you with this question, but my Googling has been in vain. Basically I'm looking for the effect Nick Lewis has at about 2:38 timestamp in this video, where the image pushes in from the right and at the same time pushes him further left. ruclips.net/video/1m8_TLvOOdc/видео.htmlsi=_ltNIxY04BCOvd-9&t=164. Do you know of any plug-ins that can do this? So many creators use this kind of effect, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it 🤦🏻

    • @JennJagerPro
      @JennJagerPro  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ah, love Nick Lewis! I can’t think of a plugin offhand, but you can easily achieve this using keyframes. Keyframes are essential in editing. Here’s an explanation: What is Keyframing? | Step by Step in FCP and Apple Motion
