The thing I LOVE about Catherine Tate (and more importantly Donna) is that she is EXACTLY who I would be if I was a companion. I knew nothing nor cared much about Doctor Who before my boyfriend showed me this show. I fell in love with this show through David. I never liked Sci-Fi and was never much of an adventurous person. Donna was such a REAL person. Just a normal person who was placed in a situation that showed her how great she truly was. She is my favorite companion. I see me in her.
This is just one of the things I love about Catherine Tate. Totally natural. No airs or Graces......

I don't remember them saying it was Alex's request... just them saying they had asked us not to record.
(I think it was pointed out that they hadn't in fact made that request; I certainly hadn't heard it until then.)

My god, to be a fly on the wall on that set with her and David. Who cares if she is into sci-fi or not. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
she states that this is her first actual convention which is a lie. she has also been recognised by fans a lot. I remember meeting her at an airport just after her first broadcast and my daughter and I stagedoored her before meeting her at a convention. she got her names mixed up putting her character name first. very funny lady.
