Always yearning for friends and FAMILY...and when he has them he'll fight tooth and nail to protect them. This scene showed how Naruto can be vulnerable much like the day he knows that Jiraiya died. But unlike Jiraiya death, Naruto is there to witness the possibility of losing his son. 😢
When you think about it Naruto was born knowing he was parentless and dealt with the village seeing him as the monster that killed his parents he dealt with alot as a child so having a family of his own made him understand how parents feel and would do anything to protect him or her honestly he's been through enough hardship and deserves a happy ending
