Thank you so much! I couldn't get it to work until I saw your video. Works perfect for programming the radio, so simple and I don't have to hook up the programming cable every time I need to change something in the radio. I think it may even transfer data faster through Bluetooth. This is great!
The programming cable connection is always more reliable and faster than Bluetooth and is the only way to update the firmware in the radio. The Bluetooth method is typically for convenience only.
how do you get the cps in the first place. i have the same radio and i cant even program them because i dont have the cps. i dont know where to find it or where to even download something.

You will need to purchase a Blue Tooth license. Only Motorola headsets are approved for use, however, some Commercially available Off the Shelf (COTS) units will work. Mileage varies. Contact us for details.
Software must be used ? Purchases are being made on eBay with many old XPR retired radios . Now a lot of retired radios are are on sale ! And yes are is many XPR 7550e are for sale out there good and lightly damaged. But so easy to repair !

I have a driver problem. In Device Manager, it’s sitting in ‘Other Devices’ as ‘Bluetooth Peripheral Device’ with the yellow triangle and exclamation point. No driver loaded apparently. I’ve uninstalled several times, tried reinstalling the driver from the Motorola folder (RDIS). Always the same thing. This happened before. I think a windows ‘update’ caused this. Any clues? Yes, you have to have the Bluetooth capability in the radio to use any feature involving Bluetooth.

You have to have the password to access the radio codeplug, this has nothing to do with Bluetooth programming.
