Mazda 3 Straight Pipe Exhaust 1st-3rd Gear Pull

Decided to take the muffler/tip off and see what that sound do.

The N/A 2.3 sounds so much more rice than the 2.3 turbo. Idk why but this sounds like a home made exhaust. It has that raspy vibration sound to it it dosnt sound good. No offense and no hate intended. Just speaking my thoughts

The turbo has an unequal length exhaust manifold, which gets rid of this god awful sound and turns it into a sort of Subie rumble sound. I really wish these Gen 1s had the 2.5. Arguably, they're the better looking generation when compared to the smiley clown that is Gen 2 Mazda 3s

this is straight piped so im not surprised it sounds like that. probably just a muffler delete would sound way better

JDyer718 yes lol had the same setup it was terrible had to put a magnapack as a resonator and its butter now

JDyer718 In this video it's straight pipe all the way back from the header/cat combo. The second cat and the resonator were both removed.
