This documentary was brilliant. It makes me wish I would have saved all my old camcorder tapes from high school and into my early 20s. I love the moments they captured with Donda and Kanye, so beautiful

Coodie saw Kanye differently, that's why when Kanye felt like he was drifting from his truth & losing his vision or sanity he'd call on Coodie even after shunning him out a few times

ok they started out selling a dream but by 8:42 got to the TRUTH🕯 There is no Ye without Ms. Donda. Her scenes are my absolute my favs!! I love the way she says Kanye (i hear "I Love Kanye" from TLOP every time she says her son's name🥰) I love that you can hear her hyping him both on and off camera since he was a little boy. Ms. Donda built his confidence and bought his equipment❤️🖤💚 So many parents limit their children with their fears or don't have the resources to pour into their dreams.

My dad says this all the time. He believed he could do anything, be anybody, and beat anybody because his mama instilled it in him. He told me he was a little guy, but he had a lot of might because his mama nicknamed him Hercules, she told him he was strong and brave. Lol that name stuck till this day people call him Hercky. I am so proud of him he is getting his PhD. Man, my father treasures that woman dearly. I don't think a day goes by he doesn't mention his mother and the other strong Black Women that raised his (his grandmother, great grandmother and the neighborhood mothers).

This documentary brings me to tears every time I watch it. I had the vision and I’m sitting on the side lines. Watching people steal my vision. I will stand up for myself even if god won’t. I never spoke like this but the more I watch. The more I hear I’m like I prayed I cried out for help and know one will help me or save me. So that’s just leaves me I will show the world what I’m meant for. I wish document would have came out sooner. But everything happens for a reason so they say. With that being said. Uzi Carti trippie I’m coming for them motherfucking belts. Then I’m moving up and taking the weekend belt too. That is all

Archived footage? Incredible. Watching Kanye make College Dropout? Incredible. Donda? INCREDIBLE woman. The documentary as a whole? Imagine removing the studio footage and what you are left with is nearly unwatchable fragments and the slow decline of an extremely unhealthy person. It's astounding to me how fanboys are willing to do mental gymnastics in awe of their favorite artist as opposed to realizing the documentary was in reality surface intellect, messy, and ultimately aborted itself at the end with no real take-away besides that Coodie feels helpless. Coodie's voiceovers were monotone and uninspired. He said nothing impactful, nothing quotable, and only served to tell us factual timeline events. His introspection was not remotely fascinating. The reason you feel uninterested in his family segments are because he has no real take about his own life or Kanye's, the audience can barely empathize. Act 3 was a true tragedy. A bipolar man, having multiple manic episodes (anyone who knows bipolar people would recognize this immediately), in need of severe help and the same grounding that Donda warned about, surrounded by yes men spouting middle-school rants with Coodie conveying to the viewer his friend had changed, that he felt uncomfortable, and ultimately did nothing to challenge him and went with "Praise God" and roll credits. A total, saddening copout, clearly vetted and check-marked by Kanye. Coming from a faith based family, this was as shallow as it can be, and not rooted in any moral compass. Donda herself would be disappointed in this ultimate take and the amount of producers, friends, and artists who aren't offering her son the same kind of advice and support that she did. Truly, a terrible film. Again, so thankful for the FOOTAGE Coodie took. That is the gold. The rest? Nonsense.

DISAGREE with your HARSH critique oprinions of AWARD WINNING DOCUMENTARY "Jeen Yus" KANYE WEST DOCUMENTARY.
Your pesimist perspectives are toxic, degrading, devaluing.
How dare you call these AWARD WINNING GREAT DIRECTORS PRODUCERS CREATORS 'fanboys". you sound JEALOUS ENVIUS straight UP VENOMOUS..
you called the documentary SURFACE INTELLECT, MESS6 PROJECTED your feeling about yourself onto COODIE ., youre feeling helpless, uninspired, and unimpactful, unquotable, unfascinating, uninteresting, truly tragic. YOU ARE ALL THESE THINGS your projectecd upon THE GREAT REMARKABLE FILM DIRECTOR COODIE. SIMMONS.
YOUR LABELS of KANYE as a bipolar man. . you use the label as an arrow thinking youre hurtung YE'S feelings. YOUR TYPES weaponize the labels to hurt people . Dr. DONDA WEST didnt warn KANYE she admired and advised him that his GREAT GIANT GENIUS is an AURA seen by WORLD although he may in his serenity and solitude , still aspire higher , as he LEVITATES and HOVERS ABOVE OVER ALL...and grounded grace at same time. THATS BEING IN TWO BI POLARITIES at same time.
Attempt to diagnose , demonize, discredit, devalue him is what some low lifes do. THEY ARE REJECTED REBUKED . . KANYE is a person whose DIVINE HIGH SELF CONFIDENCE only makes perpetual low self confidence & esteem cause under achievers with no apirations or ambitions uncomfortable, with OTHER PEOPLES SUCCESS. yet if a peron is ENERGIZED INSPIRED by SUCCE§TORIES, thats who will ENJOY seeing this DYNAMIC DOCUMENTARY. SO CLEARLY, THIS DOCUMENTARY isnt for someone like yourself. you are a hater.. COODIE KANYE DONDA CHIKE' are INNOVATORS & MOTIVATORS .
YES, Coodie noticed his friend changed , people change. Friends go and grow and flow. YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT of having a 'FAKE BASED FAMILY or a "FAITH BASED FAMILY" isnt a testament to FAITH USING your own words: YOU ARE AS SHALLOW AS CAN BE. NOT ROOTED IN ANY MORAL COMPASS. AT ALL.
YOU MAY NOT SAY WHAT DONDA WOULD BE ,because YOURE an evil, doubt filled PERSON spreading more doubt & NEGATIVITY. LET HER SON and people who ADORN, ADMIRE, and ENCOURAGE her son, may only SAY HOW HE THINKS HIS MOTHER WOULD FEEL ABOUT this INCREDIBLE DOCUMENTARY. SURE SHE IS SMILING QUITE SATISFIED.. EVERYDAY is a NEW BEGINNING. THE BEST IS YET TO COME.
YOUR not in POWER position to say what producers , friends , artists, did or didnt do to encourage motivate inspire KANYE, regardless how many may have tried , nothing like a MOTHERS UNCONDITIONAL LASTING LOV. You dont know what people do behind scenes off camera life. THe part 3 was 2020 , KANYE was married , away from friends and SUPERNATURAL support teams. so YOUR CRITIQUE of others not supporting him as his mother did is ludicrs. NO ONE CAN EVER DO AS MUCH AS HIS MOTHER. IMPOSSIBLE. THAT WOULD, TAKE A MIRACLE. THE ENEMY always want to ENTER their OPPONENTS MINDS to get inside and disect their ANCIENT AKASHIK VIBES. DISECT THEIR DNA. SO THEY ASSIGN LABELS TO JUSTIFY their MAD SCIENTIST, FRANKENSTEIN, DR.JEKYL, MR.HYDE prescriptions, pokes and prods.
SOME OF YE's closest friends like COODIE may not have always hav had access to YE, as film describes, so layoff with allthe criticism of the film ...WHERES YOUR FILM MOVIE DOCUMENTARY. OTHERS DOING NOTHING complaining about THESE BROTHERS REMARKABLE DETERMINATION AND DILIGENCE to ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS DREAMS.
SOME CLOSE LOVING FRIENDS FAMILY, may not have had ACCESS to MR.WEST. EVERYONE LOVES, SUPPORTS & ADVISE KANYE as much as opportunity allows, many send PRAISES UP ABOVE. HE KNOWS who HONORS CHERISHES APPRECIATES him and vice versa, who he will listen to who listens and respect him also. Ultimately, theres no one who can love a persons sons or daughters, the way their MOTHERS & FATHERS do . UNCONDITIONAL SINCERE.
