Big mistake: only ever follow the official Japan metrological forecast and none of the other random ones and preferably after the 6th or 7th official forecast. *the metrological forecast has had it at full bloom between 28-31 for the last 3 weeks!

@@suganiyavijay9087 there are many forecasts out there that people follow, but really only the Japan metrological forecast is the one that should be followed. But even then this year the forecast is a few days out!

Great video! Another nice spot, less well known, is the streets behind the ANA Hotel in Akasaka. Probably better than Sakura Street in Shibuya! I shot a video there last year.

When was the footage at Meguro River shot? We were at that spot on 3/19/24 and there was absolutely nothing.

Today I walked all the way from meguro station up north the river to meguro sky garden and found no flowers at all. And that was like 40 min waking by the river

If you're coming for Cherry Blossoms, keep an eye on the forecast! You will be in time for the ones up north but all the ones in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka will likely be gone

In Sendai, cherry bloosam bloom now. So if you want to see in Tohoku is good timing now.

Guess you can go Vong with Japan😂 My Vong moment was in Nara last year trekin’ up Mt Yoshino only to find out I’m a week late and the blooms were all in the lower town🤣 I did catch some nice ones in USJ tho but everywhere else was like, ‘You’re Vong Again!’ I did go north to Seoul and made it for bloom week!🙌🏽 Mahaloz fo’ sharin’ all that went Vong in Tokyo!🤘🏽👍🏽🤙🏽

When I arrived in March for early blooms it ended up snowing lol. This year was a strange weather for Sakura.
Siri told me this morning Tokyo was snowing... IN MARCH! Truly strange!
@@JasonVong you should do next year in another park of Japan for Sakura like Hokkaido which usually blooms the last. Especially because it’s also easier to drive around Hokkaido too.
I came here a week ago and have not seen blooms at all 😢 in Osaka now and it’s non stoped rained. Hopefully I see some in Kyoto in a few days 🌸
Yeah it's looking pretty bad next week with the rain & clouds. Peak bloom is supposed to happen next week too for Tokyo, Kyoto, & Osaka but we will see...
When did you guys visit Yanaka cemetery? I visited this morning and the cherry blossom trees were barren with not a single flower on them
This is what I am wondering. Friends living in Tokyo have been reporting to me about the Yoshino cherry trees in some of the spots in their video, but none of them are flowering yet. Trees are still bare. I do not think these are recent…

Aah now its clear. Tokyo is barren right now. We were lucky to catch some kawazu zakura variety in kyoto. The sudden cold spell has essentially thrown everyone’s sakura plans haywire

Feeling the FOMO because I arrive mid- April, cherry blossoms reaching full bloom earlier each year is making me worried that by the time I arrive (Nagano), it’ll be all green already 😢
If you're here mid-April, looks like your best bet to catch any sakuras would be in Sendai. Keep checking the forecast! Otherwise, north of Japan will have Cherry Blossoms late April to May!

I‘m in Tokyo at the moment and there are almost no cherry blossems to see yet. Maybe he should have mentioned that the video was not filmed in 2024… but excellent video anyway.
The best tip about visiting Japan during cherry blossom time is not to go and find any other moment. It is super expensive, it is likely you will miss it and even when you do see it the view is ruined by blue picknick cloths. Go there few weeks earlier to see Miyako Odori in Kyoto.
I gotta be honest it’s just a white tree, not even pink. It looks cool but feels kinda gimmicky. I think you can find a tree with some colourful flowers in many places in the world I’ve seen many of them in my city.
This video wastes a lot of time. We are interested ONLY in the spots where the blossoms are, not the failed spots and certainly not your infomercial trying to sell a particular brand of camera/lens. Big thumbs down.
Must be tough to smile when things don't go your way. Nevertheless, this vid is very well done! 🥹
