Wow, you're playing the famous Iconic Wiskey a GoGo. Amazing, I am in my late 70's. Some the most Iconic bands have played their from the Doors to Hendrix to Young to G&R I got to see them all.
I saw Yoyoka play in Sunnyvale last February and loved every minute of it. I saw Led Zeppelin play in Chicago about a million years ago and it was truly epic. Hard to match the original, especially when Robert Plant was at his peak.
So glad YOYOKA has made such good friends with Chuck Wright; I did not know he was the founder of the UJN; I really hope we continue to see YOYOKA having fun every second Tuesday at Whisky! Great video mix by Aki to stitch together the floor shots and overhead shots. The sound is surprisingly good for iPad/iPhone, and the drums sounded really thunderous on this one! I would have laughed my ass off if YOYOKA had picked up a book during the guitar solo like in her cover. But I know she has way too much respect for her fellow musicians!
People are beginning to tumble to the reality that YOYOKA is an extraordinary musician. Her youtube covers are very impressive and have been for yrs. But it is in her ability to perform with high level musicians in a live performance, often with NO rehearsal, that is truly impressive. I may be delusional but I think you will hear her on a wide range of recordings from jazz fusion to movie scores in yrs to come!At her age we may not have even seen what instrument she will be playing in a couple of yrs. Her whole family are singers and multi instrumentalists and that is true for the Hokkaido Hammer as well! 😮 Awe-inspiring musician and extraordinary family!
I think she'll follow in the footsteps of Deane Ogden, the greatest drummer you've never heard of, who played with a who's who of famous musicians and on countless recordings. Except more famous. But not necessarily a big name superstar outside the industry.
Once again a flawless performance from Yoyoka. For Yoyo playing Led Zep has become second nature, the power, groove and dexterity of Bonzo. Bonzo must be very proud of her. Incredible the respect that musicians have for her.
I have so much admiration for you, young Yoyoka. I wish you had an extra Audio/Video crew of your own for these events. We could hardly watch or see you here and miss you. We want to see You perform.

Who knows, maybe they're up to something. 😄😄 I remember reading a long time ago that they practiced for the Celebration Day concert for a very long time, 5-6 months. Try to imagine what it would look like if Yoyoka got the opportunity to practice with them (and JPJ) for a few months. Jason is a very good drummer, but, IMHO, there is only one drummer who can fill the Bonzo's shoes.
