The scratch lines are on the Polaroid picture probably because the camera's rollers are dirty. Cleaning the rollers will prevent scratches in the next pictures.
I don’t understand why people say the “vintage look”. Original Polaroid film and old photos in general, when fresh from the camera, they just looked like a normal photograph, sharp, bright, vibrant and consistent. The “vintage look” that people associate with Polaroid pictures, comes from people finding old polaroids in their albums and other old photos and then comparing it to photos taken with a digital camera, subconsciously. Well, the problem is, people think it looks “vintage”, that is because they are! The vintage look is earned over the 20 odd years of being stored... They wouldn’t of looked like that originally. When film ages, over time, the colours shift, it fades and does strange things with the balance of the chemicals and it becomes a different colour, hazed tones, washed out, weird contrast and decreased sharpness. Originally, Polaroid film was sharp, vibrant, rich colours and developed in 90 seconds. Land was a genius. I think Polaroid are able to make film like that, but I don’t think that is necessarily what people want, frustratingly. Why would you want your photo to look aged, it should earn that, if it looks aged straight out the camera, what will it look like in 20 years from now? Lol. I am intrigued with the new Polaroid Go, however. By the looks of the film, from the back, it looks like they used the old Spectra machine.
The street picture done with the Polaroid Go looks better, in my opinion, than the one done in Instax. It depends on what you like. Instax will always be more predictable than Polaroid due to the film and chemistry.
Always found the Instax are great for perfect photos and Impossible Project/Polaroid tend to be more hit and miss. In the end I always find the Polaroid more fun to shoot as you never really know what you're going to get. I like it's flaws.
The Polaroid film is not as stable as Instax. You may get different pictures of the same subject with same light from the same film pack. That has been the issue with Polaroid since The Impossible Project started making film for Polaroid cameras. You will have to do a lot of testing and practice to get good results. Polaroid film has been improving in quality and it is now much better than a couple years ago when I started with it.
Hello, I found out that Polaroid warns against color shifts toward green on cold days and red on hot ones. Maybe it explains the pink color in the photo.
I find that instax always have a washed out white look to them and Develop very quickly. Polaroid takes longer to develop, sometimes 24 hours for blacks to fully develop but more fun to shoot on
I could see the washer out look because it’s more sensitive to light. And yeah, instax is more consistent for me so shooting with Polaroid is more of a interesting mixed bag of you don’t know what you’ll get
They didn’t. The normal size has always had better quality. Case in point the first gen go was terrible and they’re just now making it usable but the quality of the Now is still better

Exactly

I think Polaroid is synonymous with vintage because Instax film doesn’t have this look at all
@@CREATIVEreviews Neither did Polaroid. They do now because it’s not the original chemistry

Exactly, it’s always a fun experiment with Polaroid. Shooting Instax is like shooting traditional film
@@CREATIVEreviews wdym exactly CLEAN IT, it will love you forver

That’s true
Thank You so much once again for your time & money spent in making these videos ! Very well done 👍🏻
And thank you for watching the videos 👍👍
Thanks for showing! I have an instax 11 I just picked up. Probably adding an instax 90 or Polaroid product by year’s end as well.
Nice. The instax has always been the best quality picture in my eyes
Hello, I found out that Polaroid warns against color shifts toward green on cold days and red on hot ones.
Maybe it explains the pink color in the photo.
Yes that’s exactly it. It gets very warm and pink on these hot summer days
Maybe the film was too cold in the Polaroid Go?
No, the first photos were not kept in the refrigerator
It was the only one with no flash...
I noticed the video camera didn’t record the flash but it did flash. I hadn’t learned to turn the flash off yet
Hi there! After watching this I place my order of my Polaroid Go. Thank you 😊
Nice. That’s the best camera imo
Thanks for the video, if you could try double exposure and timer feature that would be nice :)
Yes! I have to try that next
Which one would you recommend I buy for the long run
Out of the 3, instax mini 11
Out of everything available right now, the Instax mini printer 🖨
@@CREATIVEreviews may I ask why would you go for the printer rather than for mini11?
You can create the perfect photo and have it print out in a “one of a kind” way
I love the artifacts in the Polaroid go film
What’s your fav part about the look?
@@CREATIVEreviews retro look of it and size cheap film 🎞 not consistent but I’m ok with that at current price

Which one did you decide on?
Did you use flash on that last polaroid go picture? The one with the plant in the window?
No, I believe that one was backlit
I just have to ask how they made such a good camera so smallllll (polaroid go) when they cant seem to get a full size right
They didn’t. The normal size has always had better quality. Case in point the first gen go was terrible and they’re just now making it usable but the quality of the Now is still better
very interesting video, thanks!
