This is a total clutch (benefit) for everyone buying Polaroid as of recent. I was just shopping around Target the other day and it made me really happy to see a fully stocked, decked out stand just for Polaroid products this holiday season.
This honestly leads me to believe that instant film has the chance to jump back and become increasingly more popular
I've noticed my local target is stocking up too!! I'm still a little weary about buying the film from sources other than Polaroid, but it's dope to see.
Little late lol but this year my local Best Buy said it was their #1 holiday gift!!
Oh my this is so perfect timing for me you're on my wavelength lol this is all I can think about
man this video made me happy :) hearing the "rocks in my head" line after sifting through many more monotonous videos about the same topic was really refreshing, thank u for bringing energy to this :)
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed
Thank you this is exactly the video i needed! I think ill go with the first gen now along with a older one like the Sun 600!
Love this video, it is exactly what I've been looking for
Great advice as usual. Bought a Now for my daughter just before the Now + came out and glad I did. Have seen an heard nothing but so so reviews about the + model with focus and exposure issues, so yah…..
Thanks again !!!!!
"That's what she said!" LMFAOOO I cracked up loud in best buy 😭 I didn't expect that while researching the cameras 🤣🤣
Great video thanks!
if the polaroid go printed the same size photos as fuji film, whatever that aspect ratio is, it would’ve been killer!
Great review. 👍
Thank you for this 👍
Thanks so much for this video, I usually shoot digital with a Nikon z6, so wanted a Polaroid with the manual settings.
Ended up ordering the onestep plus from eBay as someone was selling it for under half the cost of a now in near new condition (even comes with a pack of film which is expired, but ideal for me to start getting a feel for the camera.
I was going to get a cheap vintage 600 series camera, but like the idea of being able to use both film types and saving money over time not needing 600 film packs with the battery.
Been looking forward to this video! My head is full of rocks. Hahahaja.
Quality content!
Wii shop channel intro got me straight gidddyyyy
In my opinion the override flash button in the older cameras is an advantage since you can decide to use it while already looking through the viewfinder. With the newer cameras you have to make several button presses while looking at the display.
I decided to number my film as I shoot it as an experiment or whatever you wanna call it just being crazy. I’m at 360 or 45 packs 😂. Already to much for the few months I’ve been shooting!
The main appeal of the polaroid go is a slightly cheaper compact camera that is substantially cheaper to shoot on compared to full size polaroids with the film (at my local target) being a little under half the cost per shot. Budget is for important for people that aren't big on cameras.
Gracias amigo❤️🔥
Hey I’m thinking of giving a gift of an instant camera to a good friend and I can’t decide between the Polaroid Go and an Instax mini camera. The instax seems to be sharper and more consistent but I think they’d really like the features and look of the Polaroid more. (I’ve only ever shot with the instax wide) Thanks!
Perfect timing, I'll go with a Leica 😂
No seriously, happy to have found this awesome comparison. I woke up yesterday with a serious nostalgia condition that won't go away and my brain is now hard wired to get back to polaroid, my old 636 close up wasn't working anymore and I broke a tiny piece earlier by trying to repair it. So here I am willing to spend my fortune on a new Polaroid and get broke buying films. So thank you for convincing me I have to do it.
The Polaroid lab seems fun too. Any opinion?
what lecia are you going to get
I'm having trouble getting the dark slide ejecting from the Polaroid Now+ and Polaroid Lab. Have you had issues with it? It's more to do with the dark slide's material instead of the camera.
What’s the best manual settings for the Polaroid now +
Can I use the double exposure on now+ without connecting to a smartphone and using the app?
I am so indecisive
Lou, is Now is still better choice than Now+ ?
My vintage impulse has echolocation autofocus. Takes crappy photos compared to Fuji
The lomography wide is my favourite, it's a terrible oversized camera but there is just something about it.
Have you found the slow synchro mode in it yet? If you put it into bulb mode and enable the flash, it flashes at the end of exposure, it's kinda nice for filling in the background of a low light scene and still taking a sharp photo of the foreground.
@@DeeSnow97 No I haven't I'm actually shocked by what you're telling me. Thank you so much
Hey guys, the film of polaroid one step 2 and the polaroid now its the same? If not, wich one has the cheapest film?
Plz how did u make that yellow effect when you took that girl s photo
I just wish the GO was 600film. I just want a compact camera with 600 film so that way I can carry it around with me everywhere with ease.... :(
Can you light paint on Polaroid now
This came out at the perfect time for me lmao
Great review. Currently have the instax 11 but been wanting something with bluetooth. Stuck between instax mini evo vs Polaroid OneStep+ i‑Type Instant Camera vs Polaroid Now+ i‑Type Instant camera, not sure where to head. Which has the better picture quality, etc?
Picture quality I would say the evo because it is a digital camera with a sensor that is used to print the images whereas the polaroids are all analog, I also personally prefer the fuji because film is more affordable and you get more shots per pack usually.
@@nicolewaring5512 sounds great, thank you!
Do you have a video like this one but for Fuji Instax cameras?
This was super helpful on trying to decide which one to buy.
I do not have a comparison like this with Fuji, but I do have a hand full of Fuji camera reviews (the mini 9, the instax wide, the lomo diana instant) They are all on the gear review playlist
@@SweetLouPhotography Thanks!
Can i ask where you got your polaroid album? Thanks for tips!
It's actually from Polaroid's website-- but that thing is sold out so frequently!!
if you actually love someone you give them a vintage clamshell, not an i-type, those are so much better in terms of user experience
unquestionable hahaha
Hey there ! Is there any way -or have you had I missed it ? The Polaroid 1Up Selfie booth? Trying to find out if there is an option of putting it on a battery power and your thoughts on it?
Hey there, I've never personally used one. But I shoot a lot of weddings and have worked with people who own it. I personally think it's not a great choice. It uses the zink paper, which doesn't look as nice as the actual Polaroid film (and definitely doesn't age as well) The camera unit itself is also big, bulky, and somewhat clunky.
I'd love to have the one step +, I've been wanting it but I've got a lot to pay. :')
That’s what she said… it made me subscribe 😅😅
That made me crack up in best buy 😭🤣🤣 lmao! I didn't expect that while debating 💀
Weird
There’s so many options now! I’ve had multiple instant cameras, a few Instax cameras, The Onestep+ from Polaroid, and I can’t believe I was so silly enough to sell them all. I sincerely just want to buy one camera and have it for the rest of my life. Which camera out of all of these do you see having the most longevity?
Honestly, any 600 Polaroid or mini Instax.
I have an old Polaroid camera from the 1970s but film costs a fortune, I wish Polaroid would bring out an app so you could have the Polaroid style.
There are many apps for
Smartphone to simulate a Polaroid or instax picture
I am thinking about getting the go for outdoor shots during summer, as opposed to the pictures taken inside in the video. Would the camera work well outside?
I personally don't like the Polaroid Go, I made a review video on the camera. Biggest note is the format. If you like the small frames, then 'go' for it. Personally, I don't dig how small the frames are. In general, Polaroids perform best with an abundance of light, so outdoors (provided it's sunny) would be good.
@@SweetLouPhotography thanks for the reply, I will keep that in mind. Also, this video was very helpful so thanks. I subscribed
Now it is.
4:26 I just laughed way too hard at this, I'm so sorry.
Is there no way to do light painting with the now+?
yes, you can light paint with the now+ using the bluetooth connected app
Look mom, my comment got featured!
which one was used to take the drums picture at 2:09
Polaroid Now
I want to ask something and it may be stupid but maybe other people have the same question too. My right eye is a bit trashy so i mainly use my left eye on any task that asks for accuracy and details, but in all polaroids i see that the viewfinder is on the left side (so for the right eye). Also the "boxie design" probably smash your face if you try to see with your left eye through the viewfinder. Is that true? Can someone use his left eye to take pictures with any of these cameras? Thank you in advance!
I'm pretty much in the same case, and have been using the Now+ for some 2 months, doing fine using my left eye to compose my shots. It is a bit awkward, but does not compromise the usability.
@@davidlucena6797 Ohh ok nice to hear that! A bit awkward is better than impossible i guess :D !!! I am thinking to buy the one step 2+ for Christmas so thank you for your feedback.
@@davidlucena6797 how do ypu find using the nowplus?
@@ducksauce0074 Using it has been fun, it is my first instant camera and I have only shot through a dozen packs, but even with the unpredictability of the light sensitivity, I would say that 80% of my shots are just how I wanted. The filters are a nice addition and work wonders on B/W contrast. The mobile app helped me shoot with a tripod, and I still gotta try some night sky capture.
We just don’t get polaroid film in India so we are left with only instax.
I'm hoping to get my hands on the new Instax camera soon, so hang in there!!
and then there’s me with a polaroid snap
Every time I use the Go, all my shots are underexposed. Really underexposed, to the point where I might as well not bother
I been having a good experience with the go so far
@@AmateurCandleLover I'll have to get some more film and try again. It may have been a bad batch
So pretty much polaroid go takes small pictures, polaroid now take medium size pictures, , polaroid now + takes the large pictures
Wait! Thank you for your review.
I’m afraid to get a white Now Plus because I might get stains on it.
idk if this helps but you know my track record-- my polaroid now is white and red, and is still stain free!!
@@SweetLouPhotography sweet!!
Can i have one 😃
More like onestep away from being a scam! (Kidding I love you polaroid muah)
Admittedly this is one of my worst jokes
Polaroid guide : no go
Film quality is just not worth. The films and cameras made in the 80s-90s were decent enough though
Are you micheal?
nope i'm Lou
What film is the one used at 5:50? It’s brown!!! 🤎🤎🕺
Hey guys, the film of polaroid one step 2 and the polaroid now its the same? If not, wich one has the cheapest film?
