You can solo many Veteran flashpoints WITHOUT a companion with this build. Put companion on DPS to kill things faster. If you are struggling to stay alive for a specific fight swap to companion to healer and use heroic moment. While in a group you can hold aggro better.
With this specific build I was in an op group with an afk player while I played around in R4 anomaly veteran solo. With this exact build no companion I was able to get to the first hallway with the fire switches just before first bost completely solo.

I enjoy playing tank in flashpoints, however I dislike that I do so little damage, is shank tank like that also viable for flashpoints (sm, vm)?
