I never heard of them before and I happened upon this cd and this song stuck out considering what I was going through at the time. Almost like kismet.
Not just the song but the band too it helped get me out of a dark time and it's the only band that's ever done that for me

I'm Eleven and i knew gojira thanks to Fortitude, but then i explored their discography and now i knew that FMTS Is their best, this Is near, the only album i don't like Is The link
Discovered them with Silvera, and though The Link and Terra incognita are like almost plain Death Metal, you can feel a certain special fiber in some songs that would ultimately gives us the Gojira of all the following albums

This song except for the pattern which isn't used throughout is the only thing that would resemble a riff. Otherwise there's no meshugga in this. Every now and then people will sound similar. Is what it is.
@@DV87777 I am not getting your point. However, iterating my own point - the pattern is called Herta (you can check it out on RUclips, basically defined as two fast notes followed by two slow notes - not a precise definition but it should get you started.
Again, the entire Bleed track make heavy use of the pattern, this given song only uses it in the beginning. It is like calling out someone for using the It's my life (bon jovi) pattern - it is the basic rock pattern taught to every newbie drummer.

Joe Deplantier's guitar playing is the best variation on Trey Azagthoth's (of Morbid Angel) playing I have ever heard. The influence is palpable, but without it being a mere generic ripoff.
