    CB500X is a fantastic bike but just that its priced a bit odd - esp for Indian market. But after the price cut it sounded fine. But the catch is that ( and rumors ) Honda did the cut to clear off the stock . But once cleared there was no news or signs of 2022 version reaching India. Even today Honda dealerships are not clear or what next on CB500x. they have been testing waters with the street version but again 500X is more suited for Indian roads. Happy riding Deep.

      It's because the demand didn't impress Honda . It was sold at cut off price that's why they know they will only able to sell max 2-3 units per month so may have stopped it or maybe readying it for RDE 2 norms and may relaunch it in 2023

    Now as am a avid owner of 390 would like to provide my 2 cents on this. I agree with all your points, mainly on the torque and gear shift issue. Both these issues are highly solvable.
    So for example low end torque you are missing out, probable solution comes as using a High teeth sprocket, Powertronics piggyback ecu, and few other things.
    And for gear shift . I can easily go down till 50-60 on 5th as i have myself done that, for this i needed to add a fuel x pro and put it on map 7 or 8 and use a K&N Filter for more flow.
    FuelX Eliminates the gear shift issue and u dont need to gear up and down as much.
    2.5L is quite a lot extra and if you put all the above u get a total cost of 30K max to max. I feel thats something you can look into too.
    If i need to buy anything apart from adv 390 i would go for interceptor 650 other than that i dont think there's any offering which u will find in the price range

    • @Farhan_049
      @Farhan_049 Год назад +15

      @@bboytrue1 That's not the point. The 150 cubic centimetres of displacement difference shouldn't make a very huge difference in fuel efficiency. If the Interceptor gives 25 km/L, the maximum we can expect from the CB500X should be 27 or 30 km/L. Honda here gets us 35!
      For reference, Dominar 250 gives only 30 km/L in the city, yet it has half the displacement of the CB500X! Theoretically, it should've given us at least 38-40 km/L of mileage considering the number stats.
      The point here is about how much care and thought is given to the engine by Honda, such that their sport tourer is almost comparable to a city bike!

    • @bboytrue1
      @bboytrue1 Год назад +2

      @@Farhan_049 bro isn't it obvious by now that honda & suzuki's engine is well refined & give better mileage compared to other brands ?
      So if you're buying interceptor which is such an expensive bike, i think you would have known the mileage through reviews etc.
      So it's not surprising to me honda giving Better mileage than RE.
      But people don't buy Int, or Gt for mileage I hope.... It's purpose is different...

    • @Farhan_049
      @Farhan_049 Год назад +7

      @@bboytrue1 If you're in India, you're going to ask for mileage numbers, period.
      I'm not surprised by the fact that the Japanese manufacturers have unprecedented refinement, hence high fuel efficiency, but _how fuel efficient_ is what boggled my mind! I expected 24-28 km/L from the CB500X, but I was very wrong.

    Nice review, I own an interceptor 650, with 47 BHP and 52 NM torque, highway experience is simply awesome and on road price was around 3.5 lakhs, also being a twin cylinder bike hardly there is any vibration, it's weight really helps in highway ride and keeps it stable. Power delivery is linear... but it's a bike mainly for highway not made for off roads.

Honda might be a little smoother because its a big engine with little power hence the engine is stress free. But it doesn't justify the price tag.

You can get all the luggage carrying accessory along with crash guards, smooth parallel twin engine with power through out the rev band. You can easily do 130-140+ throughout the day without feeling any stress on engine. Great mileage on highways and now comes with alloy wheels as well. Bas beak nahi milegi. Maintanence cost per kilometer is way less than what this Honda will cost you with average servicing cost of 2.5K after every 15KM. And obviously, looks amazing. Ineterceptor >>> Honda CB500X.

    Boss, I would love this Honda twin adventure tourer anytime but I firmly believe that this bike isn't worth the money if it costs more than 5.75-6.00 Lacs on road which should be the fair level of money to be invested for this bike! Honda, very foolishly introduced it with humongous price tag considering that Indians, like fools would just beg, queue up to buy this piece! They were so foolish and started realising that it was too overpriced, forcing them to push the price downward, significantly! Then too, I feel, it's not worth more than 6 lacs or at the most 6.25 lacs on road!
    I can't understand why a Honda like company be so foolish, arrogant and empty minded to introduce this bike close to 8 lacs on road!!! Obviously, they had to fall flat on their face and had to cut the price by almost 1.25 lacs at least! It must be still down by Rs 75000 to 100000 from here to justify "good value for money" even if I may be a great fan of this engine and this machine!

    This is Suzuki Swift territory......I would rather go for a 4 wheeler. And 350-750 cc bikes should be in 2-3.5 lacs category otherwise the buy is illogical in terms of value for money.
    Oh yes if you got tonns of money to waste/spend.....then you are the boss 🙏.
    I need to still remember that average income of an Indian family is still at 2k$ per year 😇😅
