That Rick Nelson set should be a blast. I have a 3-LP set of his stuff and it's very enjoyable. Yes, he was a teen idol but his material was surprisingly good.

Cool, nothing wrong with that, I listen to a lot of young peoples music these days.

I always remember Rick Nelson's hit song Garden Party from 1972. My mother liked his 1950s music.

Hmm, I don't recognize it by name but I probably will when I hear it, thanks!

The Rick Nelson collection is purty cool.
He was one of Ozzy and Harriet's sons.
    Died too early.
    The Shore isn't bad, also.
    Peace on earth.

Hah, I’m about to do the plastic sleeve conversion myself. Let me know which kind you like. I’ve got a few picked out on Amazon but I’d trust your rec. I used to bump that first Ludo album back in the day.

I have been meaning to do a video on sleeves since I have tried so many. My current favorite are these, amzn.to/3VkN4I1 however I have trouble recommending them at the current price at least on amazon, they may be more affordable elsewhere. I bought 500 a few years ago and the per unit price was around 23 cents. They will hold the tray card as well but you have to change where they fold slightly. The Tarifold sleeves look nice and are inexpensive but do not offer much protection and are not convenient to use if you want to look at the booklet or are pulling the disc in and out, Really there is no perfect sleeve that is also reasonably priced, the main reason I want to make a video is to point out some issues I have with the current offerings in hopes that someone would make a better sleeve.
If you have questions about specific ones let me know and I can tell you if I have tried them or not.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the box! I was going to say sorry that some of the tray hubs got smashed, but it sounds like that's not a problem for you. :) I'm happy you apparently didn't have any (or many) of the CDs already! Teddy Thompson (that one's not a castoff, I love his stuff, rather it was a thrift-store find that I bought, knowing I'd find someone to gift it to soon enough) is the son of Richard & Linda Thompson, and I discovered him by way of Rufus Wainwright many years ago.
I am sad that most of these artists and albums I just lost interest in, but I'm always happy to give them a new home to someone who might find the same appreciation I had for them years ago. Happy listening, Wes! :)

Cool, I do like Richard and Linda Thompson so that will be a fun one to explore. I bought John Prines son Tommy's album last year and really enjoyed it, he is not his dad but you can hear the connection. Thanks again for the gifts!

Yeah, I only know Joe Jonas, John Williams, and Rick Nelson. I met his sons when their band came through Sarasota at the TV station. Still have no idea what they sound like.

Thanks for checking out the video, stupidly I never realized Nelson were his sons, it was kinda sappy hair metal from what I remember.
