RS6 and RSQ8 take it I think, the RS3 is still an A3 in terms of size so too small for most

You can see the car and the driver is shaking and jump forward after shifting gears....and the gear ratios are well calaculated👌🏻

The gearbox set on it is phenomenal 7:03 kickdown after 5k rpm means there’s a real torque after that
it's downshift, watch the gear position

Let's not forget how dulled this car is by regulations. This with downpipe, exhaust, tune and an eventuri intake is gonna be a 500+hp daily car for any weather and any normal rode scenario. Perfect car (except the "gauges" in Sport+ mode)

You've basically described my 2016 RS3. One of the main reasons I got it was the bark of the 5 banger through a decent exhaust. All these bs EU noise and emission regs are ruining performance cars.
@@Stringfellow-xo6do Best sounding motor in my opinion.. with the right downpipe and valved exhaust it sounds like heaven! Have you tuned your ECU/TCU yet?
@@noob-ennings5316 Stage 1 tune, Miltek exhaust with secondary decats, Eventuri intake, Revo front and ECB rear brakes. TCU tune and new intercooler are next on the list.

@@manoszervas9613 Not really. To get the real sound back you have to take the OPF out what isnt allowed in whole EU.
All you hear is fake sound from the speakers, it doesnt even sound like 5 cylinder.

People a complain a lot that its 5 cylinder, gearbox weak etc. Etc. And at the end of the day on average every rs3 in europe has done more than 200k kilometers, been crashed and fixed 99 times by friend of the uncle friends coworker cousins classmate in high school and stillngoing strong... Best car ever made for a reasonable price 👍👍👍
nice video would be cool if you could make a screen recording of dragy or vbox and implement it in the videos, so that people can see whats going on. going to the scoreboard each time is to inconvenient i think. :up:

So about the same topspeed as a golf 8 R but you get there a bit quicker.
the Golf is absolutely boring compared to this. It lacks character and its engine sounds terrible and it looks boring too😂😂
@@asifnoaman8978 It sounds terrible because of all the new EU regulations. Older ones pre opf sounded okay. Handling in corners is better than the RS3.

Just a curious question for bot of you guys. Do you get upset (and if so how much) when you're sending it 200+ km/h and someone just switches lane to the left while going 120 km/h just to overtake someone who's going 5 km/h slower while it was obvious that you were coming up fast from behind? Or are you guys already used to this dumb behaviour and you don't mind it at all anymore? I personally freaking hate it and I get really mad when someone does that to me and I try to never do it to others since I feel like it's really obnoxious thing to do.

With the standards I would have thought that they will sacrifice it with the 4 cylinder 2.0 TFSI of the Golf GTI / R
On the other hand, it's not great the sound in the speakers... 😒
Can you try these vehicles with 5 people one day. Acceleration is ok for one person, but since it will be used with the family, I want you to test and wait for at least 5 people.

These are cameras to check for the toll that trucks have to pay in Germany.
Still a great car but what happened to that beastly 5 cylinder sound? Almost nothing left. Also the 8V looks way more mature. 8y looks more like a SUV with a oversized grill.

you got the point dude. the new design isn't that great. i'm so happy to own an 8V FL non Opf. the best decision ever. for me clearly the peak RS3 right now. and with Akrapovic and APR Stage 1 and open air intake it sounds glorious, is fast as fuck and all street legal (important in switzerland where i am)
8v was soft and boring looking, hard to even tell it's not a standard A3. Also had a shit interior - driving position was crap and the stupid pop up screen was very annoying. I owned one for a year. Glad I got rid of it. The 8Y is very aggressive looking and 100% an RS. Have you even seen one in the flesh? My new RS3 draws a lot of looks and is way better than my previous RS3.

Its not shifting slower
It just shifts smoother to kick you forward........hard shifting from a dig is not good

Yes they have. Yes the button is missing,but you can change it in the menu of oft the MMI screen.

How comes you don't have to shift manually in performance mode? I do have to shift on mine...
My new RS3 shifts automatically in every mode, even manual - if you don't pull the paddle it'll do it for you.
