You can't heal in a couple of months, that's impossible, the ex probably told all of their friends about the breakup and they've been told that they are the victim so they feel no remorse for whatever they did and they move on, but it always catches up to them, trust me, my ex told me that she doesn't want me, doesn't love me, but gets jealous when I talk to other women

Bro I feel for you. I am going through the same thing in a 9yr relationship. We have a 4 yr old together and 2 12yr olds (we brought 1 kid each to the relationship.) I'm workin on myself too, quit smoking, putting on weight and started working out. I want to keep the family together but I can't. She isn't willing to meet me in the middle, I've changed myself throughout the yrs to try and become the man she wants but have come to find that no matter what I do, my actions are taken for granted. I have recently come to the realization that all I've done this whole time is build myself learning the aspects of becoming a partner for someone. A great thing that has come from this relationship is that I've learned how to communicate emotionally, I've learned how to stop asking for so much help with stuff and to just figure it out on my own. Honestly, I found a genuine and loving relationship late in life so I’ve been through a few mistakes. When you love or respect someone you will not leave them, you will try your hardest to be true to your partner in a healthy loving relationship. If someone can up and leave you it’s not real love, it’s something but not real. I was one of those people reluctant to accept the facts when an ex dumped me. I just kept thinking they will be back. Until I dared to live my life single and I finally met a good guy I could grow with. Anyway if someone is trouble and leaves, have enough respect for yourself to move onto something better too and never look back. Three months or less is not enough time to heal, thats a rebound. If your ex breaks with you, and in less than three months( my ex was two officially) they are woth someone else, that is the rebounder. Thats not enough time for a healthy person to even full try a new relationship, its just not feasible.

Here's the thing, if you genuinely showed interest and cared about them and they end things with you, there's a saying in life don't burn bridges. Bro I feel for you. I am going through the same thing in a 9yr relationship. We have a 4 yr old together and 2 12yr olds (we brought 1 kid each to the relationship.) I'm workin on myself too, quit smoking, putting on weight and started working out. I want to keep the family together but I can't. She isn't willing to meet me in the middle, I've changed myself throughout the yrs to try and become the man she wants but have come to find that no matter what I do, my actions are taken for granted. I have recently come to the realization that all I've done this whole time is build myself learning the aspects of becoming a partner for someone. A great thing that has come from this relationship is that I've learned how to communicate emotionally, I've learned how to stop asking for so much help with stuff and to just figure it out on my own. If your ex breaks with you, and in less than three months( my ex was two officially) they are woth someone else, that is the rebounder. So, I got just got back together with my ex after three months, but it's not like before. I used to be lovey Dovey and very bubbly around him, and he wasn't like that with me but didn't mind it. My ex wife of 8 years monkey branched on to a relationship within a couple of months after seperating. She hooked up with her college mentor and married him right after the divorce was finalized. She'd breadcrumb from time to time. Until last night after she boxed me in as a "friend", I respectfully asked her to stop messaging me. Especially while she's still married with the guy she chose to be with. He's now living with her in what used to be our home. When is this pain going to end?

Mine has done some of these things but we tried to be 'friends' and yet he kept flirting with me even after I asked him not to so I keep a straight head on that we are over, he encouraged me to be open about my feelings for him, and he brushed aside the true meaning of his relationship with his new girl by saying he and she have 'an understanding', then he told me he loved me literally daily and was upset if there were days we couldn't talk on the phone. I told him this was confusing me and hurting me but he kept flirting with me and saying I was being 'extra'. I left again because he didn't respect my boundaries. Boundaries set so I could be properly heal and not be strung along.

10 years, high school sweet hearts. She acts so cold and almost robotic but I’m trusting the process and god will lead me through. We will see what happens. So far about 18 days no contact but limited contact as far as our rental property goes.
